Great job with this. John's vocal range really knocks it out of the park with this song!

All four brought so much unbelievable talent, but still, the others must have paused occasionally at moments like this and thought 'John Lennon is just fucking unreal'.

    Excellent deconstruction, thank you!

What does the low voice following the bassline sing after the harmony vocals do "happineeeess.."? Sounds like "and he faaalls" or something.

      I actually hear that too.

If you reverse that “and he falls” part, you will hear the word “happiness”! So on tape he was actually saying “ssenippah” in a mouth bass fashion, as a little nugget to all the freaks reversing everything :-)

I couldn't really hear what he was saying, but what Nerkin said below does make sense as if you do reverse the audio it does sound like happiness. So he probably was saying and he falls or happiness backward.

He very well could be singing Hairy Fuzz. You never know with the Beatles’ antics

8:38 i think thats the highest chest-voice note that john sang in the entire beatles discography, but correct me if I'm wrong

Almost. Lennon hits B here. But "I'm So Tired" stretches him to his limits (But I know!) with a C#, 2 half steps above B. You can even hear John smile after getting up that high. I've never heard a good backstory on how john prepared to hit that note. The only explanation I can come up with is he was always capable of going to C# but treated A (4 half steps lower) as his comfortable high register.

Also, note that lennon hits B at end of "I want you" with his "yeah" scream. His voice splinters into falsetto after reaching B...which further confounds me how he managed to reach C# so clearly on "I'm So tired" 6 months earlier

@@thomaspappalardo7589 not in chest register. Are you counting the falsetto? Anyone can hit that falsetto. But a B in chest register is another animal

@thomaspappalardo7589 wait. You're thinking "jumped the gun" hits C? He's singing a B there on the C. Singing root note is beneath lennon. He went for C maj 7 chord
