Hello everyone and welcome to Untouched Fishing.
This channel is dedicated to filming the quests to find some of the biggest fish the UK has to offer.
Fish like these are unlikely to live around areas which are convenient to anglers or places which are often fished. In my mission, I have and will continue to travel to places which likely have never had a lure or bait thrown into them.
Fingers crossed we can get lucky and see some of what the waters have to offer 🤞

In this video I decide to take on storm Darragh to try and figure out how storms affect fishing from the shore. I ended up spending 4 days out hunting for Cod and i'm happy to say that it does pay off in the end! I fish the North East coast in Scotland and in the end target 3 different marks using a variety of baits but mainly squid and lightly salted cart wings.

I have been keen to fish this mark for a while now but with winter conditions the risk is too high to do so. I decided that I was going to put some abseiling gear into the car to give me access to it. Before I had even got the rods out I was down arguably the most important (certainly the most expensive) piece of kit which was with me at the time. Enjoy!

So sad that even in the most isolated places of the United kingdom you can only catch tiny juvenile fish. That's exactly why I could never waste time fishing anywhere near the United kingdom. Everything is totally over fished! Nice to watch. Sad to realise that this is what is left

Flatfish, living hard on the bottom, are more vulnerable to pollution than, round fish, hence they often, have various weird growths and malformations if, caught near any concentration of human industry.
Before The Highland Clearances, the population was 3X what it is now. Don't kid yourself, no-one has been there.
It's not, trawling that is the problem. It's Scallop dredging which, has wrecked the seabed and left it barren. b Skate are easy to catch. You must, have been fishing in the wrong places. If you're going up there again, ask me and I'll tell you a few marks where, you WILL catch a Skate. I've caught Skate every time I've tried for them. Location is the key.
Why, travel so far? Dunbar area has Cod.

Class video man once again thoroughly enjoyed that! Would love to see ya one day going up to fish the rock marks up Aberdeen/Peterhead way, my stomping ground! There's a few seriously deep water marks on the A90 between Longhaven and Boddam (talking 30m + within casting distance) that can even produce a Ling...and who knows what else

I admire your enthusiasm, but you really should, check depth charts as well, as Google Maps. You can fish all day at lots of places n the west coast and ctach nothing but, small fish. You need to fund depth and structure for big Pollack. There are far moe accesible places where, you can catch much bigger Pollack. Message me and I'll tell you a couple.
hi mate, I do use navionics religiously. I think it's the seccond most used app on my phone😂. The coast was mainly shallow water and beaches. that rock mark which I fished from was I think literally the deepest point accessible on the entire coast! 👍
@@UntouchedFishing Precisely, but you were in a boat, so could travel find deep water if, you have a fish finder. The size of Pollack is directly related to the depth of water. If, you're gonna make that much effort, go to Mull and catch decent Pollack. Not as known as Skye, but just as good. Try the rocks at the back of Duart castle, or in front of Glengorm castle. Your navionics charts should show you a couple of good spots at Carsaig and Torloisk. Back on the mainland, try Loch Sunart, parking Camus Nan Gall and walking to the deep water, or there's a deep spot next to shore a could of miles past Salen. Up past where you were, there's Loch Duich where, i caught an 11lber from the north shore. Btw, Loch Sunart and the Sound of Mull are great for Skate, Spurdogs, and Pollack.
