agreed! 😊
I used to get Prince St Pizza a lot when I lived in Los Angeles. They’re very good. I imagine Darcie is gonna be so jealous you did this without her.
😅 Oh boy, I'll have to find a way to make it up to her. Man, I love LA. Any recommendations for pizza out that way?
@@TorontoOurCitypizzeria mozza is usually at the top of everybody’s list out there. Pizzeria Bianco is the new dope spot people love. And of course Prime Pizza. I’m going out there in a couple weeks.

Thank you so much! Have a happy holidays 😊
Descendant, Slow hand, and Afro Pizza are 3 places off the top of my head that do better square pies than PSP.
I have yet to check out Afro Pizza. I love love Descendant's and Slow Hand. Wish they had slices though. When you get the right slice from PSP, it's pretty legitimate. But it's like minesweeper. Half the time it's old, incorrectly reheated, or you're getting the only slice available. Consistency is the biggest issue with PSP.
@@TorontoOurCity Consistency is key
hey folks! Darcie's out of town, she'll back for our next video. Thanks for watching!
We miss her🥰
DO NOT BUY ANY FOOD from any of the OUTDOOR vendors. They set up shops for the sole purpose to earn money not to make food or good food. The food is mediocre and the price is crazy. Compared to European Christmas market, I would rate the food and the value that you get as 1.
i would add 241 and fresca. triple triple, chito's <3. -- i always talk w friends about what is the "OG toronto slice" -- before the new stuff so funny
Oh wow..we are going to visit Toronto in April next year. Can't wait! 😊
Lost all credibility when they liked Pizza Pizza. There is ZERO chance it's better than Nova or Iolio. It's the worst chain
Why wouldn't you show the inside of the first chocolate chip cookie? Super anti climactic. That's the whole point is to show the goodness not your face!
Used to be JJ beans.
Looks very expensive.
no Nord Lyon???
so cute!
This place is so overrated. The decoration is so unimaginative. Take a look at those in Tokyo.
Tokyo is bigger than Toronto, and has been richer than Toronto before Toronto even became one of the top rich cities in the world. It’s only in the last few years that Tokyo dipped down wealth-wise. They have bullet trains while Toronto has crappy subways and go trains. There are not a lot of homeless people and druggies there roaming around in Tokyo too. And winter temperatures are even milder there which adds to the ease and affordability of making complex infrastructure. What did you expect??😂😂 you’d have to rip up most of downtown Toronto and remake most of the infrastructure there to even make it closer to what Tokyo is. You can’t easily change a city once its archaic infrastructure has been set.
@@jan_07 I was just referring to the X'mas decoration and not EVERYTHING in the two cities.
Ha! I’m literally on my way there now. 😂
I love it! Enjoy it Joe. If we see you, we'll give you a shout! Hope you get some good food.

Hi @michelles9767 Oh thank you so much! I actually picked this one up at Walmart. They have some good cheap and cheerful holiday stuff.
Interesting,did not know about this,
Its a great market if you can make it to their next one❤ Dec 13th-15th Thanks for the comment and view!
Hey guys, what weekend did you go visit the botanical Gardens Christmas market? I won’t be able to go December 13 to the 15th. I live in Bolton so it’s really difficult to get down to downtown Toronto to visit any Christmas markets. But I’m glad you went to the Toronto botanical market, so I can hear about your experience there.🩷
Hi Jholly, We went the opening weekend of November 23rd, but the market is running again on Dec 13th-15th if that helps with planning. We are so happy we could share our experience with you ❤ It was really fun, and our first time at the botanical gardens. Is there any Christmas market Holiday tradition that you enjoy in Toronto? Thanks for the comment ❤
Well that was fun... reminds me that I really need to get out and enjoy the city more. There is always so much to do in this city.
Hi Jeremy, There is something for everyone in Toronto. Always something to see and do. If you're local or have access to the city, i highly recommend heading to this market on Dec 13 - 15. There is so much going on this holiday season in the city. Its the most magical time of year. Let us know if you make to this market or any other ones in the city.
It’s so crazy …full of people ..tour buses, and line ups to get in.
another fun video! I know its blogger style but if it wouldnt be too hard - could you put the final rankings in the description or on screen? Would be a nice reference later on for the stand out items!
Thanks so much for the comment and suggestion! We can definitely do more in the description of the videos going forward to provide further context and opinions on our dining choices. And yes, we’ll definitely add more to the screen as well! Hope you have a great holidays! And thanks for watching!

You are just such a cutey in this andI too am an I avid bird watcher. your mother is gonna be so happy that is a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful ornament merry Christmas to both of you and looking forward to more of this. The food looked amazing ❤🎄🙌🎄🙌💕🇨🇦
Hey Hope, Oh thank you so much❤ Those olives are amazing, if you get a chance to try them i highly recommend it, that marinade was so good. I hope she likes the ornament, Cardinals are such a symbol of winter. You rarely see the female cardinal on ornaments or artwork, so it was neat to find the pair. Merry Christmas to you too Hope ❤

Hi Brenda, thanks so much happy you enjoyed it❤
Hey friends! If you're interested in visiting the Holiday Market at the Botanical Gardens, it'll be running again between December 13 and 15. Thanks so much for watching, we appreciate each and everyone of you!
@@TorontoOurCity hi Darcy. When I lived in Toronto, my husband and I really like going to the Christmas market at the distillery district. We haven’t been in years since we moved out of the GTA. We first went to the Christmas market when it first started in Toronto. But I hear lately it’s gotten crazy, and that you have to buy tickets way in advance. I really enjoy all your food reviews. @@jholly5747Hi there, Oh that market is a good one. I can confirm it's gotten wild. Chris and i when on the opening day this year and i couldn't believe the size of the crowd. But its very magical ❤ Thanks for sharing, and thanks for watching! We love doing the food reviews ❤ Merry Christmas ❤
yay love u guys
Hey there! Thank you so much for the sweet words ❤ We love you too!
A great cookie tour. My take however…any business that uses that much packaging for three cookies needs to be slapped with such an environmental tax that they come close to bankruptcy so that they cut it out.
LOVE This!
Thank you! We had such a nice time making this video❤
Great videos this place looks awesome.
Thanks so much for the comment! We had a great time.
What the….hey how the did I miss this? Where was I?
So happy you found it❤ It was a seriously yummy time!
Craig’s Cookies are too underbaked (raw) for me but I have to agree that Le Gourmand is a standout!
I like a soft baked cookie myself, but it totally get wanting a crispy cookie. Thanks for watching ❤
You have to go to Bà Nôi! Best cookies and bread in Toronto :)
Oh that sounds good! Thanks for tip, we love a good bread❤
Le gourmand is #1 for me
Le Gourmand is an incredible cookie ❤
"Laminations" is correct. I used to work in Liberty Village...Starbucks next door to the LCBO. Au Pain Dore does a mean chocolate almond croissant (and spectacular muffins). Le Gourmand makes a killer rum almond...which sells out very early.
Oh thank you so much! I felt like it was laminations, but I'll be the first to admit I make mistakes so i appreciate you confirming that. Those croissants sounds amazing! Rum almond ❤ Yes Please.
@@TorontoOurCityDarcie Love you guys; you are so much fu!
... midnight cookie
We'll take a cookie any time ❤
Definitely should have tried the butter croissant at Emmer it’s incredible also… as someone mentioned a great constant for a comparison of croissant! Still super fun… thanks!
The answer is Foxies Bakeshop. Barbershop also makes an excellent cookie and god tier pastries. But it’s Foxies over everybody.
Foxies Bakeshop, we will have to check them out, thanks for the suggestion ❤
If you go on a Monday after 4pm you don’t need a ticket right? Are there any differences betwen going on a less busier day like a Monday/Tuesday as opposed to going on a Friday/Saturday?
That's right, as long as it's not after December 12th. In which case, a ticket is required after 4:00 PM on any given night, till the end of the season. There doesn't seem to be much difference from 4 PM on a weekday vs 4 PM on a weekend. And while it's not explicitly stated, I do believe there might be less street performances on a Monday or Tuesday, than you might find on the weekend. Either way, enjoy your time at the Winter Village!
Very nice but can we all agree it's a Christmas village. Merry Christmas all 🌲🌲🎄🎄🎄🎄
Plain croissants was the way to go. This comparison doesn’t make any sense.
I saw the Crumbl sign on the Well building recently. I was curious to try it but maybe not anymore at those prices. $6 per cookie!? They looked just OK to me, not worth that price or the line. I'm sure the line will die down in time so if I'm ever at the Well again I might consider one but I don't think I'd make the trip just for that. I tried Craig's Cookies recently and was not a fan. I didn't really like the flavour and the base was pretty much the same on all of them. They had this cloyingly sweet sugar taste that I didn't like. Not sure I'd get them again. I'll have to try Andrea's and Le Gourmand, thanks for the recommendations. I dont live near either of them, I'm further north, so it would have to be a special trip I guess.
I'm with you on Craig's. They're great home style cookies, but a little too sweet for my taste. One thing about Crumbl, the cookies are fairly large. And in some cases, they're less cookies and more cake/scone. In the case of the Pumpkin Roll, like in the video, that was a good enough portion for 2 people. But yeah, I think it's pretty expensive for what it is. Andrea's and Le Gourmand are fantastic, and I hope you get to try them out. Thanks for watching, cheers!
