It has to be rayman 3, even if it doesn't sell well. I'll still have it. For this idc about anything else. Rayman 3 is a one of the first memories i have of gaming.

I don't think Razorbeard could have consumed the Yellow Lum to become more powerful. I think the pirates are fueled by robotic version of rum; oil or some other processed chemical, which byproducts they dump into the rivers. So after being done chewing the Lum he simply discarded it like a piece of gum. Thinking this makes me prefer the cutscene of Razorbeard eating a Red Lum, even when it's less impactful. R3 on GBA Razorbeard wanted to use the Black Lum to become more powerful, those being malicious energy. It makes sense as the pirates drop Red Lums when defeated, Black Lums being from Red Lums. Red Lums are said to contain vital energy, life. Yellow Lums are the energy of the world, which pirates are polluting. They need life energy not magical energy. Thus the oil they consume is similar to the real world: ancient life, buried deep for millions of years.

Y’know, in the GBA version of Rayman 3, the lum count’s limit is 999, until you unlock the ‘lum challenge’ which serves as sort of a final level that you unlock for beating the rest of the game 100% and houses the 1000th lum. Not really a theory, just something to point out.

Lol I remember everyone throwing them out because they were nothing more than just a piece of useless cardboard, and I mean you can't really blame them since like cartridges don't really need anything to protect them since it doesn't matter if they get scratched.

This 1000% I don't display my retro Nintendo games because they don't have boxes, or even good ones when they do

rayman universe got no consistency in the first place

I really liked the Raving Rabbids GBA port because that's the closest we ever got to Rayman 4 also I miss them since that way I would buy both a handheld and a home console version and get to experience two unique adventures from my beloved franchises without having to wait for several years for a new entry in a series

Games were at its best when devs had to overcome limitations and still making it work phenomenally. It’s cool to see handhelds get full console experiences, but there’s something about games like sims 2 on psp that really made an interesting experience aside from the other versions.

It's still wild how Rayman 1 on ps1 was the best version of it, and then Rayman 2 happened.

I really miss handheld alternative / demake versions of games. I fondly remember Rayman RR on the DS that was completely different from the game we got on the Wii / PC, it's mind blowing that it's like the shortened / 2D adaptation of the game that Rayman 4 was supposed to be on the Wii It's just crazy

To be honest I miss Nintendo eShop from Nintendo 3ds i hated Nintendo how they dont support 3ds or wiiu anymore and its not fair for gamers and consumers at all its better than waiting for a NSO 3ds or wiiu and spending 60$ on a monthly to play some games you already had from wiiu or 3ds they're logic doesn't make no sense same as Nintendo sued poly world for no reason at all and sued Nintendo fans for making fan games.

i play on 3ds and i take the last lums but yes my game crash, after that i switch off my 3ds and wen restart rayman on my save i see 1000% and i said to my self yess

8:35 eurothug2000 review of the game has an interview with one of the developers and from what i remember disney gave them a ton of liberty with this game and one of the developers just said "what if we made a survival horror?" 13:25 is it confirmed? i knew that they used the same samples but i didn't knew this

That lums counter going from 1000 to 999 is absolutely brilliant. It's a form of meta storytelling that can only work in the medium of video games.
