I wonder if the Present Day-Abstergo events in the Remakes of AC1 and AC4 will either be direct meta continuations where Desmond Miles isn’t alive to revisit his ancestors anymore or if the AC1 remake will remake the Desmond Miles present day storyline in the AC1 remake too… I mean… will the Remakes of AC1&4 actually recapture the original 2012 to 2013-present events where a remake model of Desmond Miles or that faceless Animus User from AC4 again? Or will the two Assassin’s Creed remakes have two new Present Day storylines within those two remakes with Present Day-Basim visiting two of Desmond’s Ancestors and then start talking what Desmond’s ancestors have been doing since he’s been trapped in that prison that’s surprisingly kept him alive for 12 centuries while tricking Layla into taking his place as the new immortal prisoner of sorts there too… I think?… man present day lore within the assassin’s creed continuity is complicated, but at least having new Present Day storylines within the two AC Remakes of having two of Desmond’s many ancestors being revisited through the eyes of Present Day-Basim could make some interesting sense to those remakes, yeah… I bet having new present day storylines within the retold historical assassin stories would have some interesting connections one of these days I wonder what.

While rayman 3 is still hard for getting 4 - 5 stars and a good score the actual combat itself is really hard to die in or fail traditionally so i'd really love to see a harder mode for seasoned veterans of rayman like me. :3 also god, i really hope they don't lose the grungey atmosphere if they do remaster it...
1:54 Not Astro's Playroom it started with Astro Bot Rescue Mission on the PS4 for the PSVR. it was very obscure so it makes sense why people think that he was made for the PS5 bundled in game
Oh I know, and if we’re being technical it all started with THE PLAYROOM in 2013 on PS4, but the only games relevant to this video were Astro’s Playroom and Astro Bot due to the marketing bots
If it's Rayman 3, they better bring the opening music back. They snubbed it in the HD port. Maybe they'll remake the original in the style of Origins and Legends but that certainly seems unlikely. Either way, Rayman AND Croc coming back, and the same time? Hell yes.
I think they lost the rights to using Madder in R3 HD, which is sad so it’s unlikely they’d be able to use it again. I may or may not be working on a video that semi-remakes Rayman 1 in the Legends engine 🫡 (months away though)
So, let's just assess the situation thus far. Ubisoft dropped their TGS presence, Astro Bot got the Stellar Blade and Helldivers updates announced, Ubisoft delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows, and nothing new on Rayman (as usual). Also, something you didn't mention that I think is far more likely, I feel like this may be a way to promote Rayman titles coming to PS1 and PS2 classics on PS4 and PS5. Remember that Rayman, Rayman 2, Rayman 2 Revolution, and, as you mentioned, Rayman 3 HD all released on the PS3. While I really despise Rayman 3, the game Ubisoft greenlit and developed without Michel Ancel because he was busy with BG&E, and I really dislike the HD "port" (it's just the PC release running in a higher resolution just like BG&E HD was with minor changes), I'm really hoping the PS1 and PS2 versions of all of these games get dropped on PSN just like Time Splitters did a few weeks back, in time for the series upcoming anniversary. Edit: Just so no one thinks I am needlessly hating on Rayman 3, it is my least favorite entry in the series as a whole. I always felt it was lacking the charm the team from Rayman and Rayman 2 put in their titles and the game also always felt unfinished to me. Its tone compared to prior entries also felt off and the lack of the same team and director is a lot of the reason why that is in my opinion, never mind how game relied more on crass humor to be "funny," among other issues I have with the game. Edit 2: This article (80.lv/articles/disbanded-prince-of-persia-devs-now-helping-with-rayman-remake/) just dropped detailing how the reassigned Prince of Persia devs are now working on a Rayman remake with Michel Ancel's involvement.
I would love this. I really would. Sadly, I worry they will just have a beyond good and evil level, and he Rayman will likely just be a bot on that level.
@@corkben Even though the Kain bot is(by my own admission) sporting, his costume from Blood Omen 1 my thesis still stands. As the aforementioned game set is coming, on the 10th of December this year.
Well, the fact that Rayman is getting to Astro Bot is intriging to say the least and I wonder how is he going to be adapted to the game's artstyle. Now, despite the posibilities, I don't think Rayman is getting a remake, remaster or anything, but I do believe he's going to serve as advertisement for the second season of Captain Laserhawk since there's no way in hell Ubisoft haven't seen the sheer amount of attention he got when compared to other aspects of the show. They will remake rayman 2
Oh, that would be awesome ❤
I think Raymans appearance in Astrobot is homage to it's release on the original PS1 which was extremely successful. It also appeared on the PS1 Mini a few years ago. So I think this is them respecting that legacy.
Normally I’d agree. But all the DLC bots have been tie ins with upcoming releases. It would be weird if this was the only one that wasn’t
May god hear you PLEASE
What the fuck you were right
I hate this game being referred as an advert, cuz even tho that's not wrong, i think the game stands on its own as a great game even if you don't know much about the references (literally me knowing very little about playstation)
I prefer seeing it as a smash bros type game, technically an advert. But it also works to discover new franchises i didn't know about (even if sony doesn't make it easy to play them)
Sorry for the long message, i'm very passionate about this game lol might delete this comment if i feel embarrassed about it lmao. On the topic of the video, hell yeah Rayman :3
No no I completely agree. It’s the most fun I’ve had with a new release in years. I even felt wrong referring to it as an advert, but in order to make the point about Rayman I couldn’t really find any other words.
I guess I could’ve said it wasn’t an advert, rather a game ripe for marketing crossovers or something. I get your frustration.
@@corkben naaah it's fine. I just get pretty damn annoyed when people say stuff like "the game is only good cuz references" or "the game is good but without the references it would be a shallow and bland game" when it really isn't that at all. I really hope i see a review when the references and cameos are left right at the end of it just to demonstrate how good this game is outside the references.
With that said, Good video!! And now with the DLC announced, we may see Rayman in it! I seriously cannot wait to see a Rayman Bot (if there is one pls pls pls)
@@Shenenew You know what, I’m gonna make a full Astro Bot video, focusing on the non-references parts. I completely get what you’re saying, and I agree. I loved Astro Bot so it’d be good to see more love going towards the real juice of the game!
@@corkben o-oh my god...
Dude, you don't have to make it if you don't want to. But that's so cool!!! :D
Oh god don’t give me hope, if I have hope and it ends up being for nothing I’ll cry
I do really hope we get something good with Rayman for his 30th anniversary though, even if it is just remasters
Please don't give me hope. I would kill for trilogy remake.
2:33 I KNOW, I GOTTA BELIEVE.
I really like both rayman Legends and Origins, but the only thing I adore in Rayman Legends is the amount of attention when it comes to modding like Ubi-Canvas as a entire game utility and level making app or rcp which is like the best main menu for Rayman Games and a lot of love when it comes to modding!
This is true. I’m surprised a whole new fan-sequel to Legends hasn’t been made using these tools
@@corkben there is no need to demand so much from fans cause not many people are into that and also these tools are constantly being developed, they have actually grown much this year and we are still behind actual working Engine where we can do everything like they did. We have a lot of things to discover. Actually at the second hand I am a developer of one of the DLC's being made to Rayman Legend! Feel free to check out!
@@Lapislalipek not demanding anything! I just know how passionate Rayman fans are so I was surprised it hadn’t already happened. I’ve been following the new Legends DLC for a little while now. Looks amazing!
rayman needs a comeback...
i remember ubisoft posting globox drinking plum juice on their twitter or something so yeah it's rayman3
Lock in for the Rayman Mini console port
Me still waiting on that rayman 4
MY BOY IS COMING BACKKKKKKK
Considering Limited Run Games doing so many remasters, such as Croc, Gex trilogy, etc, it could easily be another set of remasters done by LRG. Not ideal, but a good step
that would be so cool
Yeah I completely get where you’re coming from, and I agree that’d be interesting. I think they should do it like that
Nothing to do with Rayman (which I mainly enjoy), but am I the only one who thinks that Astro Bot really, REALLY looks like EVE (especially when it comes to their faces; their eyes, their black monitors and their white AI bodies), as a die-hard fan of both Team Asobi and 2000s Pixar?
No I also thought that when I first played Astro’s Playroom tbf
I would love a Medievil like remake with Rayman2. Its such a nice and athmospherical game. 3 wouldnt be bad too, but its not my favorite Rayman game :D
I hope you are right...but ubisoft and a boardgame company is working and have kickstarted a Rayman Boardgame few weeks ago. So, let's hope they do a new game and its not only because they are working on that boardgame
With Ubisoft about to be most likely closing. Highly doubt it.
if rayman 3 gets a remake or remaster id really love for there to be additional difficulty options. While rayman 3 is still hard for getting 4 - 5 stars and a good score the actual combat itself is really hard to die in or fail traditionally so i'd really love to see a harder mode for seasoned veterans of rayman like me. :3
also god, i really hope they don't lose the grungey atmosphere if they do remaster it...
Oh yeah, I hadn’t thought of that much. A hard mode would be great
Now we need another a new lbp game
1:54 Not Astro's Playroom it started with Astro Bot Rescue Mission on the PS4 for the PSVR. it was very obscure so it makes sense why people think that he was made for the PS5 bundled in game
Oh I know, and if we’re being technical it all started with THE PLAYROOM in 2013 on PS4, but the only games relevant to this video were Astro’s Playroom and Astro Bot due to the marketing bots
Adolf Hitler was the last thing I expected to see in a video about Rayman lol
you better be right dammit
If it's Rayman 3, they better bring the opening music back. They snubbed it in the HD port.
Maybe they'll remake the original in the style of Origins and Legends but that certainly seems unlikely.
Either way, Rayman AND Croc coming back, and the same time? Hell yes.
I think they lost the rights to using Madder in R3 HD, which is sad so it’s unlikely they’d be able to use it again.
I may or may not be working on a video that semi-remakes Rayman 1 in the Legends engine 🫡 (months away though)
Rayman 2 revolution
god please i beg let them release a r2 remaster that actually runs on modern computers
rayman 1 could get the prince of persia treatment though dont forget that
Being ‘remade’ to avoid a hostile takeover only to restart and never release it? Hope not tbh
@@corkben i just meant like, the remake that came out in february or whatever lol
It's just a bummer that Rayman games are not even in the ps+ classics
1:48 splatoon looking creature
You could argue that the Kain and Raziel bots, foreshadowed Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered.
Yes! Actually I considered making a YT short mentioning that
@@corkben Even though the Kain bot is(by my own admission) sporting, his costume from Blood Omen 1 my thesis still stands.
I want to believe Ubisoft is working on a new Rayman game or something Rayman related, but this company hasn't given me anything to prove that they care.
