    I finally got rid of my Model 3, and replaced it with a 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited AWD, just a few months ago. The Ioniq 5 is MUCH better! The only differences with my version on this side of the pond is it has a glove box (not a drawer) and the frunk is smaller, only enough to store my roadtrip charging paraphernalia. They've fixed the seat belt rattle in mine with padding on the back of the buckle. They've also remedied the lack of a rear window wiper with a digital rearview mirror -which I really love!

    This has just popped up on my feed so.... Yes, I recognise some of those Superchargers. Two years ago (when your video came out) the wife and I did a trip to see an old school friend of the wife's who lives in Castillion et Castets (south east of Bordeaux). Easy peasy. Last year we drove down to Sicily. Not in one day as we want to see some places on the way. But also easy peasy. And the (Bip&Go) Tag covered me for the ferry crossing at Messina. (Edit: We live just south of Edinburgh so took the ferry to IJmuiden both times)

    It might be half a ton heavier but it's infinitely safer as well, lower center of gravity from the battery means less chance of rollovers (25% of fatalities) no engine up front to end up in your lap (frontal fatalities 40%) and even side crashes are lessened with the battery reinforcing side structure. If you're buying this car you're probably well off enough to care about living longer so you should account for that in any review. Oh and it's Vegemite mate. ;)

    Can anyone advise please...... TESLA Hmmmmmm!!!!! I took ownership of a brand new AWD Model Y on the 23rd of January 2024, and in a little over 2 weeks I have done 760 miles. I don't have a charger at home so I charge at Tesla superchargers at 40p a KW. I go before I start work at 5am when it is the cheapest rate. I did do just over 100 miles of charge at the local shell garge which cost me £26.81 the other 4 superchargers cost me a total of £80.40 thats a whopping £107.21 in 17 days. Does anyone think this is correct or do they think I have an issue with my battery. To be honest the first few day I did put my foot down and have the heating on, some mornng I don't have the heating on at all. I have a 2013 BMW M Sport Diesel and costs me just over £80 to fill it and I would get around 600 miles to a tank of diesel. I regret getting a Tesla now.....

    • @quentinwillson8918
      @quentinwillson8918 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You need a charge box at home on a night time tariff like Octopus at 7.5p per kWh. On public chargers you’re paying top rates and also 20% VAT whereas on domestic rates at home it’s 5%. If you live in a flat or terraced house there are ways to get your own charger supply. Most EV owners charge at home at night. There’s nothing wrong with your battery - it’s just the price of electricity from public chargers that’s the problem. Good luck.

    Finger in throat reviewer. No mention that there is no space for your left foot so don't try any long journies in this milk float. £32,000 for a 2 seater in which he praises with grear aplomb and then criticises it for having cheap plastics and he is so into cars he couldn't find the volume control. From most reviews I have read on the Fiat 500e you would be lucky to get 150 miles out of a full charge. They are a nice little town car but no more than that but a very expensive shopping trolley.
