I was looking for my first commander deck and this one seems really great but it is too expensive for me at the moment 😭. If I cut cards like Mana Crypt, Jeweled Lotus, Ancient Tomb could this still be good or is just not worth it trying to make a budget version?

What do you think bout Urza's Guilt in this deck? It's a 2UB Sorcery: each player draws 2 cards, then discards 3 cards, then loses 4 life. I used to run that way back in the day in my old Megrim/Warped Devotion deck where for 4 CMC it was 10 to each opponent. In this deck, with just Nekuzar out it's a 6 point hit. Add in, say, Orcish Bowmasters and it becomes an 8 point hit to the whole table, and with 3 opponents you're amassing 6. With Sheoldred it becomes a 10 point hit, and add in any other pieces out like Underworld Dreams and Megrim and it gets scary super fast.

I know you run primarily black, but you would benefit from these three reds. Ojer axonil which at a minimum would make nekusar do 4 damage (or more if buffed) each draw, Solphim which doubles the amount of any non combat damage, and maybe the most beneficial, Harmonic Prodigy. If a wizard (nek) or shaman (sangromancer) ability triggers, it triggers an additional time. Encode whispering madness on Sangromancer with harmonic prodigy and nek out, makes for fun times. Bonus red card, but an a-hole card for sure, Price of Glory. Whenever a player taps a land for mana during another players turn, destroy that land. Counter my stuff at your peril.

some local players want me to go back and play again and i just picked up this man even tho he is a fallout character to build a roman deck. Basicly he already has his ace, then there is a vampire tribune, and a few other legendary cards that look roman with varying effects. i figure i will add a few cards to boost my legions overall damage but mainly focus on mana generation and spells that can drop a massive token army on the ground as my finisher. i figure even things like secure the waste x 10 ect with ceasar on the field is a big issue people need to deal with. plan to use tactical based cars like entrapment maneuver, murder investigation ect. and in stead of buying more expensive tutors and equipments ill use black draw cards that look like shady deals ceasar has to make to win the wars.

I’ve been running Well of lost dreams in my sunspeaker deck, and honestly it’s insane! Allows you to pay X where X is less than or equal to the life gained this turn, and draw X cards, and that with anything that gives you no hand limit is just stupid good

Careful with Shepherd unless you are running Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Its all players, not just opponents. I have a pretty busted Wilhelt deck and I do run Shepherd (for now)

Dead eye navigator can make the tokens by soul bonding with Urza, and then Bounce Urza for constructs. With infinite mana you can make infinite Karnstructs.

Paradox haze=second upkeep for additional life gain, Cleric class enchantment at level 1, et Al.= cards that add +1 to any life gained, Sphinx of Second Sunrise?=at your end step, you take an additional untap and upkeep phase, Pristine Talisman &campfire artifacts=tap Pristine Talisman for colorless mana and gain life, use that mana to tap down campfire gain another two life. Drana (something)=vampire creature with on your end step, if you’re gained 3? or more life this turn, opponents lose 3 life and you gain 3 life

You made a mistake in some of your examples of how Firesong and Sunspeaker interact with Red & White burn/lifegain spells. Specifically, for Sacred Fire and Warleader's Helix/Foundry Helix. You seem to be multiplying the damage by 3 and lifegain by 2, when the damage should actually be +6 due to the double commander triggers eg Sacred Fire would deal a total of 8 (not 6) damage and gain 4 life and Warleader's Helix would deal a total 10 (not 12) damage and gain 8 life.

What about adding that one black enchantment called exquisite blood i think were when your opponents lose life you gain that much life :)

Dud I made my own version of nekuzar mainly made it really evil, because I was irritated with a player in my group. He has a rule you can’t touch him or his stuff but technically he can’t control when he has to draw so that’s why I made this evil version and it is evil anyway man keep up the good work

Hey, Im probably a bit late but what would you recommend to build a more budget version of this? Ive only really about 300 aud to put towards the deck so it would be appreciated if you could recommend a budget version of this or where would I go to find a budget version to upgrade later?

Even though you made an amazing Ceaser deck i opted to add him to my Awaken the Blood Avatar build. For me it makes aristocrats burn and it is absolutely deadly. However i would like to point out you did make a few ver good tech choices for this style of play. As a fellow Mardu player, consider me curious to see what you can do later on with this.

Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Exquisite Blood help me out a lot in my Caesar deck. They would have a lot of synergy in this deck too! Ojer Taq is fun too. This vid also gave me some good ideas for things to add to my deck too. Thalisse and Kambal look solid.

As a relatively new player (been playing 2 years) I recently built this deck, had its first run out and playing against my friends who started when I did. Had them taking 14 damage a turn at one point 😂

you should put the new sword in there too! it gives pro from instants and sorceries so its extra protection from things like swords

Meloku, the cloud mirror would pair well with landfall abilities especially if you run out of lands to play

More isn’t always better. U should lower ur zombie count and add more protection. U should also add wonder which will give all ur creatures flyings.

Would tribute to the world tree actually work in this deck? Zaxara says the 0/0 is created ‘then’ add X 1/1 counters. So it etbs as a 0/0 and wouldn’t trigger it right?
