    Just a note, muddle the mixture can’t get you basalt monolith or static orb. It tutors for CMC 2 not 3, so it can get you your winter orb. There’s a blue creature that has the transmute for 3, but probably better off just putting in tribute, trinket, and/or trophy mage for the search since they also give blocking bodies for the same cost.

      I love the mages with their etb tutors. I may have to put those back in, especially with all of the new counters I've added

    My Urza deck doesn’t get anywhere near the amount of playtime to reflect the effort and investment I put in the deck 😩 love Urza!

      I feel that !! Hahah I have a couple decks like that

    Dead eye navigator can make the tokens by soul bonding with Urza, and then Bounce Urza for constructs. With infinite mana you can make infinite Karnstructs.

      That's what's up !!

    I like all the foil and altered art. I was not expecting Kaldra Complete foil. I'd get rid of all the 0 costs except for lotus petal. Put in Soul of Phyrexia and Nyvinarall's disk. More islands and a high tide. Perhaps a pentavis bounce synergy. Dump static orb for windfall.

      I love the soul of phyrexia + nevinralls disk combo, like my own little artifact Avacyn. I also have high tide. Gonna make these updates and see how well it runs. I'm admittedly trying to do a little too much with this build. This seems like the edge it needs

    Just a quick correction you cant search for a 3 cost with muddle the mixture. You check vs its casting cost which is 2.

    Transmuting Muddle will let you tutor for a CMC 2 card. Maybe you meant drift of phantasms, that can fetch a 3cmc.

      Yeah I got it confused and always overlook the deets on the transmute cards

    I do like that this build is unique...it's not just another Urza deck.
    Are you purposely keeping it slow and clunky for your playgroup? I like that it's your own thing...but this list seems very under powered. I'm sure it's still strong with your playgroup...Urza is just busted that way, but IMHO you're running a TON of cards that just don't really need to be there.
    Do you plan on making this deck more competitive down the line? Or are you happy with the power level it's at currently? It might be perfect depending on who you play.

      I like it so far, but definitely can add those popular Urza combo pieces like Dramatic Reversal, Polymorph/Hullbreaker combos. I like playing artifacts and getting tokens from playing the artifacts. IT can be upgraded more to cEDH level, but he's already not my playgroup's favorite commander to play against, since I end up playing solitaire most of the time and establish two playmats worth of a board presence :P

      lol I totally get this! Urza is extremely easy to make TOO powerful for a group which can totally kill the fun of things.

      @@twitchster77 Yeah 🤣 I don't want to be in a 1v3 all the time lol

    How has 26 lands worked for you? It seems way too low of a count to me for as high of an average mana value as your deck has.
    3 of those lands come into play tapped, 17 of them only produce colorless and only 8 can produce blue.
    Do you find you have to take tons of mulligans before finding a hand you can keep?
    The deck may well work perfectly fine at 26 lands, but on paper, even with all the mana rocks, that seems very low to me for your specific build.

    • @MTGAlpha
      @MTGAlpha  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the mana base can be tweaked. There's just enough ways to produce blue to cast blue spells. Can be tweaked though. I was getting flooded at 30 lands and not needing them when I could tap all my artifacts for producing mana.

    • @twitchster77
      @twitchster77 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MTGAlpha You do have tons of cheap rocks, and of course Urza himself is amazing at giving you mana, so if 26 is working for you, that's great.
      It's super hard to get the land count just right and takes tons of testing to figure out.
