Never mind Dave seems to be the same all down that coast at the moment probably better at night 🤔. I'll be on holiday down there at the end of October so I hope there will be some fish around then especially bass 😁👍

Might have been worth using some light river gear and attempting to catch some of the small species like Wrasse near those rocks….

Nice Video mate. Like the chit chat. If you really want to be geographically correct, the most southern point in the uk is the Lizard in Cornwall. However Isle of Wight fishing is very good ( check out Frugal outdoors).

Hi Dave, just started watching your channel. I’m watching from Peterborough and going to start sea fishing this year and hoping to get to some of the marks you talk about.

You're right Dave! Fishing is not just about catching fish. I spent Saturday night with my Dad and brother at Shingle street and didn't catch much, but its was how I enjoy spending time. Stress free by the water catching up with family and enjoying the moment. You seem to have a good following of like minded anglers, have you ever thought about arranging a beach fishing social meet up/ match? Maybe to support a local charity. Reading comments and watching your videos I suspect lots of people who would be keen on supporting it

Like a wind sock ….. you can see which way the wind is blowing!!!! Comedy gold, you should be on stage at the Britannia pier. I heard from an old landlady that gravity aids in the lengthening of the old guys tadgers! Must work double if you walk around bare-arsed naked. With well endowed old men on the beach, I’m not surprised that the beach is clear of young women. Not fare on the young guys they know as their expectations must be unreachable!!!!!!!

went fishing yesterday on south beach and caught 6 bass all schoolys the smalest one about 4 inches long

NESW.. it's going to depend how you define the UK and whether or not you include inhabited/uninhabited islands. But the IOW won't be any of these points!

Yep nothing worse than being tugged off at Ness point. Fished there many times as a youth, all the way from North Dean camp site to where you are and the other side on the beach. Caught a lobster on rod and line from just up from that spot. now 61

Whiting season in coming, the sport should pick up nicely very soon.

I used to loose gear after gear when I sea fished I learnt the hard way . I now use 50 lb yellow braid main line strait throw no shock leader 80 lb rig body 50 lb snods with viking hooks I always get my gear back I get an hook straiten now and then and still catch plenty of fish you will save pounds Dave believe me

Decent little session mate. Guess you could put another species down on ya list...the lesser spotted todger...although best not measure it, ay. Shame about the boat, but would've struggled getting over the bar at the entrance to the harbour if the engine ain't up to it....

Well the Clacton beaches have been busy with holiday makers and not many fish coming out. I ain’t been for 3 weeks now. But after seeing that video it’s made me wanna go again. Might do an evening tide this week. Well done Dave another great video. 😊

Nice to see you back Dave can't wait to get fishing on Corton beach but that won't be until end of October ☹️ see you were having fun with the nudists 😂😂😂 keep your eyes firmly out to sea 😂😂 you may have been snagging on old groyne posts, we stay at the campsite on top the cliff to your left. If you want to try somewhere different try at the bottom of the cliff to your left you can park in the village and there is an alley between the houses a load of steps to climb down and fish around the old chunks of sea wall had some nice fish there including bass. Looking forward to tomorrows viewing at Ness Point only been spinning there no joy, wanted to fish the concrete pier thing but had flower on the railings so someone had died there massive tide rip off the end looks good for bass 😁👍 good luck
