You're right Dave! Fishing is not just about catching fish. I spent Saturday night with my Dad and brother at Shingle street and didn't catch much, but its was how I enjoy spending time. Stress free by the water catching up with family and enjoying the moment. You seem to have a good following of like minded anglers, have you ever thought about arranging a beach fishing social meet up/ match? Maybe to support a local charity. Reading comments and watching your videos I suspect lots of people who would be keen on supporting it

I am discussing with my mate G at the moment about doing something for charity, we’re thinking RNLI.. was looking at a go fund me page, I got 1400 subscribers and 2000 followers on my Facebook page, even if I can get £1 donated of each person should be able to raise quite a bit of money.. Organising a get together with Anglers can take a lot of planning, Not sure if you watch Bretts fishing diaries but he does a tight lines calm minds meet up the last Saturday of every month..

@@TheDavidharding yes i herd people say that a good place to fish hopefully ill get a few on my hooks lol. Do you have a rough estimate on how far the rock go out ? dont wanna be losing tackle on them all day long as it will get expense .

Yep nothing worse than being tugged off at Ness point. Fished there many times as a youth, all the way from North Dean camp site to where you are and the other side on the beach. Caught a lobster on rod and line from just up from that spot. now 61
First tenner in the “buy a new car fund”! Either that or 5 pints of Fosters at “The Feathers” by the market. You need the 5 pints after seeing those 2 old blokes shlongs. Even I’ve had nightmares!

@@TheDavidharding not many people fish this spot i do not know why cos i only catch bass there (south beach lowestoft) apart from 1 eel 1 whiting over 5 days also 30 bass upto 61cm
NESW.. it's going to depend how you define the UK and whether or not you include inhabited/uninhabited islands. But the IOW won't be any of these points!
@@George_Salt yeah I think if I do it il just stick to uk main land otherwise like you say I could be on small uninhabited island in the middle of nowhere..lol..

@@sloth-h1g there not to bad, I didn’t lose any gear.. I’d say they stick out about 12ft just enough to hang the rod out to clear them..
Another great video Dave, You are right about fishing, if I catch any fish, I love it. What sort of squid do you use, unwashed or washed squid?

Might have been worth using some light river gear and attempting to catch some of the small species like Wrasse near those rocks….

went fishing yesterday on south beach and caught 6 bass all schoolys the smalest one about 4 inches long
