Cool Uncle Mods: GachaSP Build Tutorial & Advice for the Final Revision
The Gacha SP is one of the most exciting mods to have come out of the Gameboy community - the form is inventive and it's a Gameboy Advance to boot, which I feel doesn't get enough love! I am so happy the final version has been released with a whole lot of improvements and once again I've teamed up with @PCBWay to show you how to build your own. Huge thank you to @josephtomkinsmusic and Retrogame.evo for creating this mod and putting it out in the world!

The 4 screws in the back of the console, battery bay and the one that secures the cart slot area are the same as OEM
The top back uses 3 of the screws from the SP top screen surround on a normal SP
The ones that secure the front faceplate to the middle inside and the ones that secure the PCB to the front are both M 1.7 thread and 4mm length including head

I might be little late but maybe somebody can answer my question: I'm searching for a device to just backup my Pokemon save files before changing the batterie and put them back one the original cartridge after that. is that even possible (with the burnmaster) ?? thx a lot and great channel :)

I haven't, but I do know it's features are more limited than the Joey or gbxcart. It should do what you want just fine though :)

You can make a Japanese system English by Soldering R2 under the heat sink. A blow dryer helps get the heat sink off. Prices may be better from Japan.
I have the Datel Action Replay. I like being able to update Swiss on the SD in the Gecko. Then run the SD2SP2. I am very exited about the Gamecube M.2 Loader. Soon the wait will be over.
Love the videos. I don't know if you do, but I would not recommend wearing your contacts while soldering. Exposure to fumes can be problematic over time.
Thank you! I only wear my contacts when I'm on camera at home; the cat hair irritates them enough, would absolutely hate to get solder fumes under them to boot 🥲
Anybody remember the moondrop ssr and ssp? Same thing two iems ssr was teble city ssp was, slightly less 😂 but man are they comfy and good for podcast/ recording

I just don’t know if I can let go of the form factor of my SP. But I would like to in the future if I get another damaged SP
Also I’m creating some custom PCBs for my next Wii portable and I just bought a hot plate to deal with these buttons

Can you review the Full Mod Kit for the Game Gear on Console5? It seems contain every possible mod. I'm hesitant because I haven't seen any reviews.

Hiya Uncle! Out of curiosity, what printer do you print your actual covers on? I've been looking for a decent printer for doing this sort of thing but struggling a bit as im not really sure what to look for.
Hey! I use a canon pixma pro 100. It's a BIG BOY and quite pricey, but it goes on sale with rebates really frequently if you live in the US. I think you can get it for at least half price at times.

I’ve been waiting for a premium modernized/upgraded clamshell product for ages! 35xxsp looked awesome at first but yeah the clicky LR buttons were what turned me off to it for suuure. Good to know about the exploding battery situation though, that kinda reinforces my decision to wait for a improved model 😂 thanks 😊

I don't remember you referencing those emulation handhelds before... I'm quite interested in one, but it's not high-priority at the moment, and even when I get one, I'm still keeping my proper handhelds~ Good to know about the battery issue on the 35XXSP though...
I have a video on the Miyoo Mini Plus...kinda 🙈 I'd recommend retro game corps' and taki udon's videos if you want to narrow down options. But also use your head - rgc does teardowns and he kinda glossed over the battery sitting on the CPU, but to me that is a huge red flag and liability in a product. Turns out I was right to think so 💀

@@yourcoolunclemarisa It takes time to make a great video 🙆♂️ I made the buttons with standard buttons without printing them and they are not comfortable to press😭 I am trying to order dedicated buttons from PCBWay.
