ELEVENS DIRT LIFE
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 31 ธ.ค. 2019
We've been living the off-road/dirt life for a while now and have built multiple Jeep's along the way. Thought it was time to start sharing some of our experiences, product knowledge, build progress, adventures and advice.
We currently own a 2020 JEEP Wrangler JLU, a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Mojave, a 2008 Jeep Wrangler JK and a 2005 Jeep Wrangler LJ. We have also owned, built, and sold a 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK and a 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU. Lots of first hand experience along multiple Jeep platforms as we have modified all of them and have run multiple suspension/tire/armor/you name it products. Most of our content will apply mainly to Jeeps but there will definitely be some crossover for general off-road/adventure products and experiences.
Appreciate you following along and sharing in our Jeep Life.

Hard Top Lifter by Smarter Home
Super easy way to get the hardtop on and off without needing any assistance. Also a great way to get the top off the ground and free up that floor space.

What sizes ORIs you got ?
14’s front and rear
Are these like they’re flex era 4’s that come with a two position switch, with one setting for the yellow backlight and then another position for full white?
Yes they are.
How did you wire it to your aux?
I ran the wiring through the tailgate (there are a few openings you can chose from) and then in and along the passenger side interior behind the carpet. Then went through the fire wall on the passenger side (there is a rubber grommet you can poke through). In the engine bay it goes across the firewall along the hood and to my Spod.
Does the camera work with the stinger for backing up as well? Or just on the mirror?
That particular camera works only for the mirror> I use the OEM back up camera on the Stinger Heigh10 as well. That one goes on automatically when reversing and I can select it at anytime on the head unit.
Graphics suck bunny ear antennas has better resolution than this crap. Always freezing and it laggy
Very nice.. it cost to get it to look the right way
Is the rattle factory or aftermarket? 😂
@@vegasxventures definitely aftermarket rattle. Adds a few more horsepower 😂
Is there are undate on this build? did you guys sell it or still have it?
@@leecaldwell1029 we still have it! I drive it a few times a week. We haven’t done anything to it yet except a few small items. Plan is to build this one out to a mostly dedicated rock crawler. I’d like to do a video documentation on here when that starts and all through the process. Not sure when ill get that going b/c i want to be able to do it all within a reasonable time period.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE can’t wait! I have a TJ and always watching build videos to see what others have done. Debating on TJ stretch next year. I am in Utah so Moab and sand hollow. Makes sense to be setup for rock crawling
Very nice brother🎉🎉
Can anyone share on how camera quality compaires over factory? I have heard some are worse?
I have the newer HD cameras and the quality is very good. Pretty close to the factory cameras.
I have the original Patagonia MT. I think the tracking on the freeway is the worst part. The jeep wonders everywhere. The shop was strongly against me buying the Pata MT because they said they had the same problem with other customers. If the pattern is the same, I think they will have the same issue. Also the ride quality is bad if you air up to their recommendations. You simply just try to air down the Pata MT to 31 from 37, you can tell a huge difference on comfort. Saying the ride is not harsher with higher pressure, it's impossible. The frequent rotation are a pain in the neck too. This tire is not for on road use. I don't trust it's safety. I need to constantly adjusting the steering on freeway. Off road they are great! But the lugs get chip by rocks easily. I'll not try another set unless if it's free.
Interesting. I've had pretty much the opposite experience as you have and I've personally run 5 sets of Pat's on my Jeep(s) over the years, 2 sets on my wife's gladiator, 1 set on my step daughters JK and 2 sets on my stepsons JKU. All of them drive/track awesome. I'm talking 70-80 on the highway with one hand on the wheel. I built all our our jeeps and everything is dialed and set up proper as far as steering and suspension goes. Same thing with running higher psi (we all run 34 psi) and with a decent suspension set up the ride quality is awesome. In my experience the people that have issues with these tires on road don't have their Jeep/Truck/whatever set up correctly and have underlying issues with suspension/steering/alignment etc. Not saying that's your issue but that's been my experience. Most tire shops and some "Jeep" shops don't really understand how to set up Jeeps as far as alignment and suspension parts and geometry. A
I’ve been researching 2024 Mojave X vs Rubicon X. Y’all’s video makes me a Mojave Man!
We love ours!
Are these pretty good for a daily driver?
Most definitely. My wife and I both daily our Jeeps and have gotten really good mileage out of our MT02's. These tires work well at higher psi's than you'd typically see on MT tires. That higher psi helps with road manners as it allows you run on the center of the tire (they are crowned and designed to be run on the center tread block), which helps with road noise, road manners and tire life. We run ours at 34-35 psi on road and that has worked well for us. My wife got over 40k miles on a set.
Man’s she a keeper right off the bat she’s always liked trucks. Hell yeah. GREAT video
Yea buddy lookin good 👍 Question do you run a crankcase vent system in your Jeep for steep inclines?
@@joshbuck5877 thank you 🤘🏼. Im running the UPR catch can. Zero issues with the Jeep smoking at steep inclines since i put it on.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE ok awesome I'll check them out.

@@joshbuck5877 super lame. I had an out of state buddy source mine for me.

Maybe you can try to run less nitrogen in the bottom chamber, and just use sway bars. Maybe that will get rid of that pogo feeling. I’m getting ready to install 16s on my LJ this week. I will try that, and let you know how it works.
Did you put the KC on there or did they come like that? Looks great.
@@brentharrell we made the KC logo and put them on there
Do you have the C2 or D2 load range?? If so why did you pick the load range?
I have the C/6. That's the only option available on the 42's right now.
Do you know what the loaded tire measured height is on your Gladiator?
I don't remember off the top of my head the exact measurement but I do know it was 37"+ at 34 psi
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE I was curious before I had them mounted. I now my Milestar MT 02 38s mounted and mine measured out at 36.6” at 45 psi in the front. A little heavier in the front on my Power Wagon….
your a life saver, used 2 fender washers and bolts with a mallet and good to go 👍🏻
@@mitchdavitt6772 glad to hear this worked out for you. It’s a life saver for sure
I just installed mine and with it closed at freeway speeds it is way louder than the Freedom panels. Still really like it, but this makes it less than ideal for a long journey.
Can you tell us what size they land at? I have 38” Patagonias and they come in at 36.25” at 35psi. They don’t make 40x20 in Patagonias so might step up to 42”
@@mclovin2011 un mounted on its side I’m getting 41 3/4”
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE awesome thank you. Do you know what they come in at mounted? Assuming much less than 41?
Is that you Buster? Hahaha.
This bracket shakes way too much! I have it on my JL and it wobbled side to side because of too much weight up high without support. Easy fix though. For each side, stack and glue 3 rubber washers, like from a garden hose, and use some double sided tape to hold the shims in place as high as possible between the brackets and windshield frame. Worked like a charm.
@@ddmcgrue9113 hmm. We’ve never had any issues with the light or bracket shaking. Have 3 other close friends running the pro 6 bar as well and they’ve never had issues. Don’t have the center rubber piece from the light bar to the windshield tight enough on the windshield?
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE Hey, thanks for the response! I cranked the center rubber piece pretty tight and the rubber wasn’t sliding on the windshield frame either. I wonder if I might have received a dud?? I had to add washers on the studs to space the brackets out too. Without them, tightening the two outer nuts caused the brackets to flex and rattle on the glass. It’s great that my problem isn’t a common one because I love KC stuff!
Looks awesome! How’s the wind noise with these on? Also can you do a video on the view inside the cabin, I’m guessing you can see part of that lights from inside.
@@aristotlefullthrottle9567 wind noise is about what you’d expect from a light bar. Doesn’t bother me and I don’t even notice it. View is fine in my opinion. I have a Genright cage in mine so I’m used to having things in view. The lights are barely visible at the top of the windshield
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE awesome so no horrible whistling noise like straight light bars?
@@aristotlefullthrottle9567 no whistle on mine and my wife’s as well

That setup would never pass Pennsylvania inspection . But Pennsylvania sucks that way!
It's not CA legal as well but luckily we don't have inspections here. Would be a fix it ticket on a number of things if the decided to give one.
That’s why you gotta move to Texas , not more inspections starting January!!!
Hi , new to all this , could you tell me what would be the correct width wheel to run a milestar Patagonia mt 2 38 " 17 " rim Thanks 👍
17x9 is a great wheel size for a 38. That's what my wife is running on her Gladiator.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE Thank you 👍
So you haven’t had any issues with heat? I remember hearing that ORIs were more geared towards lighter buggies. Just curious. I’d love to get a set on my LJ but I’m afraid I might not like them and be stuck with the investment as I live overseas and would pay even more for international shipping. Ah you touched on my comment at 15:42 literally right after I finished typing 😂
Good on dry rocks, ok in snow. Ok in water. Not good in mud. Not good on wet rock. Lightweight. Less expensive. But I prefer Baja boss.
What you didn’t mention was one of the biggest selling points for why I bought mine. If you use your Jeep to run errands, you can close the top while you run into Walmart or Lowes, and not worry some kid seeing a radar detector on the dash or other expensive electronic device; And get on your running boards and crawl in through the top. Also, today I had my SunRider top open and out of nowhere there was an unexpected rainstorm, which I was able ro close, the top and not get wet
Great point. And definitely one of the cooler features.
Have you run their 'Level-It' kit? Really seems like that puts the ORI setup up another level above everything. High end coil overs may have an advantage if you're building a high speed baja style race truck. However, for daily driving to standard offroading the ORI seems to be a clear winner in ride, simplicity, and function.
I haven't run their level-it kit. It looks pretty sweet though. I use the Powertank Shock boss and soon will have their new dual fill kit.
“we can go. we can stay. we can hide. we can runaway” - stick figure 🔥
Street legal
That would depend on your state laws. In CA we can’t have any light above our headlights on while driving on the road and they have to have a solid cover on them.
Awesome looking gladiator. Great job. Love the KC lights. Love everything about the Jeep. Great job.
Thank you.
Quick question. Is the bracket needed for an adjustable RR track bar? Or only needed if you want to keep it horizontal? Any issues if only used the adjustable track bar frame to axel?
Good question. Typically you want that rear TB as flat as possible, which is why with most lift kits you'll see a Rear TB bracket included even when a rear TB is not. Having an adjustable rear TB will allow you to get that axle centered. That being said you could do just an adjustable rear TB if you are needing to center the axle and the angle of the rear TB is decent.
is there any other way to route the power to the lights ?
You could try and tuck the power cable under the bracket. Mine was pretty tight to the body so I went with the KC wire hider along the bracket.
That dude is so hot

Will my stock ranger make it to this spot? I would like to see the water!
Probably pushing it with the ranger. There are some rock climbs that require ground clearance. I think 33” tire minimum to get back there. But it’s totally walkable and less than a mile to the water from the parking lot
