- Quick rundown of the soon to be released KC Pro 6 light bar bracket for the Gladiator Mojave and 392 Wrangler models.
These models have a different hood and cowl than the other Galdiators and Wranglers so KC had to develop a new bracket and we were lucky enough to be one of the few to get our hands on a pre production model to test and report back to KC.
Should be available to purchase in July-August of this year.

Good to see they are working on the bracket! I have been calling them for year to get one. I got the rhino bracket and it sucks! Shakes all over the place. Hope it’s available soon!
They should be available late July early August of this year!
Love to hear it, can’t wait
Did you off-road at all with the lightbar? Did it make any noise?
Yes we did and I have a bunch of friends running this same lightbar on their Jeeps. No rattles, no squeaks, no noise offroad. The only noise you get with this bar is win noise on the highway, which is something you get with any lightbar. Its not bad and easy yo get used to and if you have the radio on you cant hear it at all.
Man can’t wait for them to send me the email telling me they are ready to buy. My 392 is just waiting for some lights. Beautiful Mojave 👍🏻
Definitely completes the look. They will look great on your 392!
Looking good Fam! Have you tried curving the bar a little? I have mine curved between lights 2/3 and 6/7. Helps give it a better spread without sticking out too much.
We though about curving it but wanted to try the flat style first. Will probably play around with it until we get it where we like it
This bracket shakes way too much! I have it on my JL and it wobbled side to side because of too much weight up high without support. Easy fix though. For each side, stack and glue 3 rubber washers, like from a garden hose, and use some double sided tape to hold the shims in place as high as possible between the brackets and windshield frame. Worked like a charm.
@@ddmcgrue9113 hmm. We’ve never had any issues with the light or bracket shaking. Have 3 other close friends running the pro 6 bar as well and they’ve never had issues. Don’t have the center rubber piece from the light bar to the windshield tight enough on the windshield?
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE Hey, thanks for the response! I cranked the center rubber piece pretty tight and the rubber wasn’t sliding on the windshield frame either. I wonder if I might have received a dud??
I had to add washers on the studs to space the brackets out too. Without them, tightening the two outer nuts caused the brackets to flex and rattle on the glass. It’s great that my problem isn’t a common one because I love KC stuff!
CAN'T WAIT HURRY
Have you had any issues with very loud wind noise? I put the soft top on my JT for the summer months and have read it makes the front of the top vibrate loudly. I’d really like to have these.
There is definitely some wind noise. The bar can be flat or curved. Ours is currently straight/flat. We are going to try and put a little curve in it to see if that changes the wind noise at all. Any light bar on the roof line is going to generate some wind noise, there really is no way around that.
@@ELEVENSDIRTLIFE Thanks for the reply. I’m traveling for work and it’s in the shop being lifted, KC’s put on, new tires and wheels. I’ll be back just in time to test it out driving to Jeep Beach in Daytona.
@@602North did you ever get the lightbar? Is it making the soft too flutter? I saw a guy put a gobi deflector behind his and he said it worked. Just seeing what you ended up doing.
@@lsilvasfire i did put the light bar on. Right now, if you’re in a headwind at 70 mph, it’s quite loud. Off the interstate it’s not bad. Looking to add the Gobi or make something that will work. If you look at my channel, I have videos of the light bar.
That looks awesome .I do have a question for you. Do you get wind noise at all especially on the highway?
Yes you definitely get wind noise as you would with any lightbar above the windshield. Its not too bad once you get used to it.
So did KC end up selling the light bar kit with the keyed retaining nuts?
Not sure on that. You’d have to check with KC.
Hope you can buy just the brackets. I have Go Rhino and they dont place my none kc lightbar right
Not sure about that. Will have to wait and see what they do when it gets released.
