Being new to picking up Comics i have no reference as to top writers & artists, just recently bought "Zatanna Bring down the House 1-4" suckered in by the Cover art with the #1 foil, would rather the modern stuff wasn't soft blending on the lines and colour transitions etc (if you know what i mean) i like the older style used on comics with hard/sharp defined lines on the ones you show basically, they have more soul to them, i guess it's down to computer tech now we get these. Long tangent aside, the story art though.... ouch. I can now see why the guys over at comic book palace rag on internal art. If it was like Heavy metal i would have been hooked, nice display items though. Also i previously mentioned about IDW's BTTF comics, luckily i snagged a complete run at a bargain of a price. Bob Gale who co-wrote BTTF was involved, in essence recommended, story is enough to look past the art🤘 Last snippet, Vampirella cover art through the years, amazing but hard to get in the UK, yet i'm still keeping Heavy Metal top #1

The outtro was by far the pinnacle of this video Randy haha. Life it like an unboxing of comics with your content, never know what your gonna get. Some great results save that Aquaman. Maybe CGC does hate you o.0

Nice grades for vintage books! Not noticing what someone is wearing is one thing, but I'm sure you would have seen the missing corner on a book as you prepared them for submission, correct? That's highly suspicious 🤔 Thanks for vid 😊

I love how much you know the artists

I don't know if you use/used a scanner to take the photo's of Comics in the past. I switched to using one, much faster process than using a phone. Goes straight to computer also so putting name/issue etc is less finicky.

You may want to consider cleaning your own books. I was really surprised how easy it is for the most part and I’m not the most patient guy around. I’m not going to write a giant comment here but if you do a little searching around TH-cam for comic cleaning tutorials you’ll be able to learn the basics fairly quickly.

I love these early FFs. I would love to have some of these, but they are out of my reach right now. I did complete my run of FF 101 - 200 in CGC 9.0 or greater (average grade is 9.4)--with the exception of FF 107 which is only CGC 8.0. I've got a couple of candidates to submit to replace the FF 107 CGC 8.0 when there is a solution to the bent inner well problems. Have a good day. 😉

Wish I had recorded my reaction for posterity. Now, I’m getting back my first big ten-book CGC submission soon. I’d like to do an unboxing on YT. What’s your setup like? Do you use a phone to shoot the video or an SLR camera?

Very interesting to learn that CGC on pulps dont consider trimming a restoration, and therefore wont give pulps a purple label for that reason.

Guessing CGC grades is too hard and random of a game to play... 🤔😵‍💫🔮 I bet blackjack is more your style! 😆♠️

Really liked the Marvel and overall comics history lesson! I dig the format with you talking a bit about the story behind the book. I knew Hulk wasn’t initially green, but didn’t know the part about him being Night Hulk!
