You know, we USED to do that when we started submitting books a year ago. Looks like getting lazy cost us. Time to get back to it. You are DEAD right!!
The outtro was by far the pinnacle of this video Randy haha. Life it like an unboxing of comics with your content, never know what your gonna get. Some great results save that Aquaman. Maybe CGC does hate you o.0
New subscriber; great video and great books! Fun submissions to see. Look forward to new content as well, especially Atomic Age covers. Great stuff. Thank you
Great timing, Randy! Was looking for something to watch while on a break from a project and your video just popped up! Gonna enjoy a coffee, some Sour Diesel, and good ol' comic book talk!
I love these early FFs. I would love to have some of these, but they are out of my reach right now. I did complete my run of FF 101 - 200 in CGC 9.0 or greater (average grade is 9.4)--with the exception of FF 107 which is only CGC 8.0. I've got a couple of candidates to submit to replace the FF 107 CGC 8.0 when there is a solution to the bent inner well problems. Have a good day. 😉
I have a #100 that's in REALLY good shape that I'm considering getting graded. I REALLY want to find one of the issues with the sideways cover. I always forget how much I loved FF back in the day.
I don't know if you use/used a scanner to take the photo's of Comics in the past. I switched to using one, much faster process than using a phone. Goes straight to computer also so putting name/issue etc is less finicky.
The corner missing is HUGE! Not a chance I decided to submit that. It's the kiss of death for any book. I feel like I should have been more upset at the time.
The real "Comic Tom" 😂 Cleaning some of your best books would make them look better and maybe also increase the grade. 👌 Fantastic thumbnail! Pun intended 😅 Also great t-shirt 👍
Nice grades for vintage books! Not noticing what someone is wearing is one thing, but I'm sure you would have seen the missing corner on a book as you prepared them for submission, correct? That's highly suspicious 🤔 Thanks for vid 😊
Exactly. And my presser Tom would have seen it and said something. It's not like Aquaman #8 is worth anything under an 8.0 really, and he would know that corner would stop it from ever getting over a 5.0. At least it made good content for youtube?
@@justinmyers5209 I feel the same. I wish I could go back in time and tell my younger self not to buy garbage like Speedball and Aquaman, and spend that monthly book money on CLASSICS.
I don't know for sure, but my mistake is slacking on taking photos of books I send. Too much flim-flammery at CGC these days to be stupid. And I was stupid.
DAMMIT! That sucks, man! I've been lucky so far. Thankfully this wasn't a very expensive book, but that's a HUGE corner to be missing, so it still sucks.
You may want to consider cleaning your own books. I was really surprised how easy it is for the most part and I’m not the most patient guy around. I’m not going to write a giant comment here but if you do a little searching around TH-cam for comic cleaning tutorials you’ll be able to learn the basics fairly quickly.
I actually love the cleaning videos for some good, relaxing ASMR when I'm trying to nap! Flying L is my favorite! I wish I had time to clean books, I barely have time to make videos!!
😅I wouldn't throw anything away! I think the .5 golden age and silver age books are the best way to build a collection that goes up in value, then you can move up from there over time as you sell them for more money. Funding the hobby!
It's a valid question, Mr. Dropkicks. I guess I'd say that I'm hoping there is enough on the good column to even it out? Like my ASM #300 in a 9.8. Probably didn't deserve that...but I got it. Does that help offset the bad, and make it worth it? I'm not sure, honestly.
Sorry about the corner on the back .I always take picks before sending them in.i learned the hard way.
You know, we USED to do that when we started submitting books a year ago. Looks like getting lazy cost us. Time to get back to it. You are DEAD right!!
agreed, this all day every day.

Hahaha, THANK YOU!

Thank you for subscribing! We are here to have fun! I appreciate you checking out the videos. Cheers!
Great stuff as usual! Have a good day 🙂
Thanks, Bronze-Age BIll!!!

Ha! Perfect, hope you enjoy!
Great books, thanks for sharing! Now I'm bummed I sold my FF 18! Have a good day! 😃
Have a super skrull day!! And thanks for watching!
I love how much you know the artists
I would know so much more if I bothered doing even 8 seconds of research! 😅

I DON'T, but there is a scanner in that printer sitting RIGHT behind me in that cabinet, so that's a fantastic (four) suggestion!
Great stuff! ... Except for the Aquaman stinker, lol
The corner missing is HUGE! Not a chance I decided to submit that. It's the kiss of death for any book. I feel like I should have been more upset at the time.
Great video. 1st time watching. Nice comics. Bummer on the Aquaman.
Thank you VERY much! Appreciate you watching!

Thank you! I definitely need someone local to do cleaning that I can trust.
That Spider-Man 53 is bad-ass
Anything with Doc Ock on the cover is dynamic. There are so many great Ock books, like #55 as well!
You can’t be expected to just REMEMBER these things …..

Hey! It could be worse! Your sign off could be "Have a Randy-Dandy day!"
🤣 I hope the ending at least made people laugh!
Yea they took a small corner off my tec 69
WHOA. WHAT???
It was weak on that corner because of a small crease at the corner 😮 boy was I shocked. They can be hard on older books
@@justinmyers5209 I'm so impressed you have that book. It's iconic!
Yea I got lucky a long time ago. Wish I would have grabbed more big books back then but at least I went at it pretty good
@@justinmyers5209 I feel the same. I wish I could go back in time and tell my younger self not to buy garbage like Speedball and Aquaman, and spend that monthly book money on CLASSICS.
Great books! believe CGC hates me as well.
Awwwwww, but we love you!
You super sure you got back the same aquaman book you sent in?
I don't know for sure, but my mistake is slacking on taking photos of books I send. Too much flim-flammery at CGC these days to be stupid. And I was stupid.
I've had 3 of my golden age books damaged by cgc cases
DAMMIT! That sucks, man! I've been lucky so far. Thankfully this wasn't a very expensive book, but that's a HUGE corner to be missing, so it still sucks.
Did you take pics before submitting?
Nope, I got lazy over the past few months. It's completely on me, sadly.

@@SwarmofComics You’re right; they can be very relaxing.
I won’t be throwing away my golden age .5s in the trash. Not everyone has thousands to spend on books.

Why are people still sending their comics to CGC? Do they not know that CGC is going to damage at least 20% of them?
It's a valid question, Mr. Dropkicks. I guess I'd say that I'm hoping there is enough on the good column to even it out? Like my ASM #300 in a 9.8. Probably didn't deserve that...but I got it. Does that help offset the bad, and make it worth it?

YUP! Lesson learned. We USED to do that, and then got lazy.
