    I just subscribed to support this young lady. As a 64 year old male who has been an audiophile since 1979, I believe that my generation must encourage younger generations into our audio passion.

    It's good to see young people in the audiophile community. Most of the people are old guys like me. I bought my first system in 1975, so yes I am an old guy!

    Very well done review. I actually bought a pair of the KEFs last month because positive reviews have been very consistent across the board. One of the standouts of this review was seeing a woman HiFi reviewer for the first time… and hearing her perspective. Thanks! Will subscribe!!

    Nice review! I totally agree with your assessment of the LS50 Metas. I had them for a short while and did not agree with all the other reviews about how good they are.

    Excellent review! You have a great setup!
    I use some small blobs of blutac between the bottom of the speaker and my solidsteel stands, which ensures they are not going to fall off.

    I also had a similar journey to yours. I had LS50 Metas previously which I really loved but upgrading to KEF R3 Metas with the combination of Hegel H190 and Gustard R26 DAC the sound became even more 3D holographic. I also use KEF's KC62 Sub from my previous setup which still helps to extend the frequency range and enlarge the soundstage

    Great review. You will go far. Perhaps add your opinion on things like "living room" decor factor or room size appropriateness. Perhaps a comment as to listener type ....
    A few thoughts but follow your gut this is the way a new audience in the hobby can be drawn in.

    Hello Potato. I have also had my Kef R3 Meta for coming up to a year. They are connected to an Accuphase E211 and a Music Hall Ikura with the Ortofon 2m blue. I want to hug and kiss these speakers as whenever I play a record, which hasn't yet been played through them, they make me laugh and smile! They find details, separate them exquisitely, and bass fat that my previous speakers did not/could not. They throw the image wide, deep and skyward. I really couldn't afford these speakers but I'm so glad I bought them.

    I have to say you have the most enviable system to test with. The Gato, the Metallica turntable, and the R3 Meta would make a truly classy setup. I am surprised by the bass impact you mentioned, I always thought the KEF were more thin, esp. when compared to the 1961s. Thank you for the analysis and being the first (and only) TH-camr to combine such a prefect end-game system...at least until your next system iteration😄

    I have come a long way with kef speakers. The first were the original ls 50, then I bought the meta version, currently I own the r3 meta, and in about 5 weeks my endgame will arrive in the form of the reference 1 meta. I love the sound of these speakers I know this will be the end of my road when it comes to speakers. As usual great material regards.

      I now use nuprime ida 16 with r3 meta, and under reference at least at first will also be combined. In my opinion it is a great amp with great power and bass control so I am curious how it will power these speakers

    I'm currently stuck deciding between the Kef R3 Meta, Arendal 1723 Monitor S THX and the Wharfedale Aura 2.

    • @bearclaw5115
      @bearclaw5115 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Meta's are the best all rounder in the group. The Arendal's need to be paired with a sub. The Wharfedale's have limited vertical dispersion. Not saying any of this has to matter to you, just putting it out here.

    • @dragonstone6594
      @dragonstone6594 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bearclaw5115 Yeah, but the Wharfedale is the cheapest one and has the most base output, the Arendal can get the loudest but it's the ugliest, and the Kef is the most expensive. hmm tough. choice. I'm waiting on a few more reviews and comparisons out there to decide.

    Good review and glad I ran across your channel! In looking at your set up I am assuming you use them for music only. Curious how they do for home theater. Did you happen to test in that scenario also, if so could you share your quick thoughts?

    Nice video! I have the Arcam SA20 and absolutely love it. I don’t listen loud so I’m getting more of the “Class A” portion of the Class G with my KLH Model 3’s.
    Question for you: how did your SA20 match with the R3 Metas? Any concerns? Good luck with your channel!

    • @Potato_Fi

    for a beginner good review, can be improved why you call your channel Potato Fi? with this name you don't sound serious. Hope you get more equipment on loan from different manufacturers, buying your own equipment can be expensive. From there you will gain more experience with audio reproduction and audio equipment.
    speakers rear port does cause problem when you put the speakers closer to the wall. This kind of speaker it is advisable you place them at least or greater than 3m from the rear wall.
