Hi, there! Great video! I've lived in and around Madison most of my life. Glad you enjoyed it here! 😊 A few things you might find interesting: the Fair Play Fire Station you pointed out was the first volunteer fire station in Indiana, and it's still active. The bridge was replaced because it was old and rickety, not because of a barge, but it was done by building the new bridge beside the old one then sliding it over to the original piers. It was an unusual way to do it. I think there's a TH-cam video of the timelapsed slide. Also, the Ohio Theatre had a fire, and they've been restoring it. They hold special events and screenings there to raise money for the restoration (thus the lack of chairs at that time).

Tractorhenge looks like an amazing attraction! Bloomfield looks like a great small town. You once again were successful at locating some amazing finds along the way. I think it is fascinating that Jerry Bruckheimer and his wife have taken an interest in the town. That is really cool. And it has resulted in a lot of cool movie memorabilia to check out in the town. Jerry Bruckheimer, the man who just produced the new "Deadpool and Wolverine" movie, as well as a bunch of other greats like "Top Gun Maverick", calls Kentucky home and has made his 'home town' awesome! Restoring some old downtown buildings and adding movie memorabilia from some of his movies and tv shows that make the unassuming stores a gold mine for those like us who happen to stumble into them! You've got to see the movie magic in historic Bloomfield!

We enjoyed your "Biggest Spectacle in Racing" tour, Jim and Vanesa! Shame the museum was closed, but it's great the gift shop was available to spend your money, 😁😁I recall the DX stations. Hey Jim, Vanesa we weren't there, but were at the one in my hometown! We love the small towns in the heartland of America too. Lovely Victorian architecture here, despite the👻👻👻's. Enjoyed seeing what you could of the old racetrack and it's great that there's ice cream nearby! Crawfordsville. I think that's where Terri and Keith from "Retired and Loving it" are from. Don't think they're living in the jail though. Sounds quite dangerous and they still have both arms! 🤣🤣Instead of the 50 stars we left you a big like! Thanks for bringing us along.

The history of the Jungle Park Speedway is amazing! If I owned it, I'd allow visitors after they paid a $10 fee and signed a waiver. History needs to be honored, and your video helps to keep the history and memory of this place alive. Thank you for sharing with us!

I just came across your video and I just wanted to let you guys know a fun fact about the track. There are a few cars that used to be raced on the track that are still on the property, they were abandoned.

Most people take a battery powered radio if you are coming here. Each screen has it's own radio frequency. If you dont bring one and use your car radio. You might end up with a dead battery. They do have staff that come around in golf carts that can give your car a jump start if that happens.

The buildings up the hill from the entrance to jungle park are also part of the race track history..

I remember that, my uncle use to be a truck driver and he would make runs to Atlanta and bring back about six cases of cokes from the plant.

Been to the Indy museum and did the track tour back in 1987. That gas station was neat, but the houses were very cool. Too bad the racetrack was off limits. Thanks for the episode!

The Riverboat Inn has THE BEST view of the bridge to Milton and the Ohio river
