- A day in Superman's home town of Metropolis Illinois!...It was a SUPER day in Metropolis! Superman town! Lots of people didn't know this town existed! Metropolis, Illinois, that is! Taking in the 15 foot statue of the man, the myth, the legend Superman is something we won't forget! In a town known for identifying itself with the man of steel, we couldn't help but take a look around to see what other "super" things we could find! We took in the museum and found other super heroes honored as well! It was a fun day...we're inviting you to be a part of it!

Honestly, Batman was my favorite superhero as a kid. Loved the old shows, but Superman was a close second. What a great store/attraction.

Metropolis is amazing! Super BigBoy would make an awesome movie hero. The merchandise in that store is great too. The Superman vs. Muhammad Ali figures were really cool. I am afraid Ali would have lost that one. Thanks for taking us along as you explore Metropolis!

So fun! Looks like a town that is worth a visit! There's a town near us that was used for filming of the series Smallville. Always enjoyed seeing some recognizable locations show up on screen.

I'll tell you what...the owner of THOR'S GYM IS A GEM for the town of Metropolis! This person is not only very qualified and great at what they do, but also very humble and dedicated to their mission! They are invested in the community and a huge asset to the community. I give it 6 out of 5 stars!

It's a neat area. Filmed an episode there a couple years back. There was a place a couple of blocks away by the Harrah's casino on the river that was full of movie stuff but it was closed when I visited due to Covid. There was a neat old theater in the area as well. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for a detailed tour, on my bucket list to visit Metropolis. There's so much stuff you can buy, though I'm from the UK so I don't know how I'd get it all home!

This is a good stop to get out and stretch your legs with the family. Unless you are a big Superman enthusiast, not much more to see.
