12GB minimum for gaming and 16-24GB MAX for gaming. Anything beyond that is just future proofing mostly

It doesn't look like a match for B580 24gb with 192 bit bus. Also Xe2 20 cores is too little for that VRAM. I can't see it. Just doesn't look right. But as B780 Xe2 32 or 40 24gb with 384 bit bus it makes lot more sense. I think G21 is at where it ends as PCIe 4.0 x8 REBAR card. You want to take a step up first you need to utilize PCIe 5.0 x16 direct access. If you don't why have PCIe 5.0 and Arrow Lake? Just linking the dots. I see this as a hype fake rumour to create clickbait. B570 is about to launch and INTEL needs something to keep the talk going. People are now anticipating for something bigger. People have hope and even B580 with 24gb would get them talking. But what if giving this hype you actually announce something that is even bigger? This is how I see it and hope I'm right. Announcing B780 Xe2 (32/40?) 24gb VRAM 384 bit bus and B770 Xe2 (28/32?) 16gb 256 bit bus instead. And if $450-550 it would take all of the Nvidia and AMD thunder at 2025 CES (Wed, 8 Jan 2025 - Sat, 11 Jan 2025). INTEL looking at the cards and saying "I'm all in". That would be fun. For that they'd need that b770 with a large memory pool on the cheap

I think Upscaling Textures would be nice, but you want to have a base size of about say 2k, going lower will have noticable upscaling artifacts. As for VRAM size, it needs to be 12GB MINIMUM, i'm not going back to 8GB. Games are just going to keep getting larger.

should've used a xeon workstation like an hp z420 with like a 600w power supply grab a 2x6 pin to 1x8 pin adapter (unlike the fire hazard of the sata to 6 pin adapter) and get a 1070 or rx 5600/5700 or rx 580, will be better, also get like a xeon e5 2690, 8 cores 16 threads and get extra ram sticks to upgrade to 16gb of ram, total cost should be around 200 bucks depending on which gpu you pick, i just bought a z420 to replace my hp 600 g1 twr with a shitty gpu and even worse 320 w psu, will sell it to get the money for the new cpu ram and gpu, will probably sell the old parts from the workstation too

Dude games look like shit when I use DLSS frame gen ofcourse it depends on the game and something like metro exodus probably uses 2.0 but something like chivalry 2 looks like i assume it uses 3.0 BUT the swords get fucked when they swing and warthunder looks bad too when i use dlss. I REALLY want them to massively improve it
