It seems like the memory bandwidth of these cards is higher than vCards reported. 895 GB/s for the 5080 (+26%) 1792 GB/s for the 5090 (+77%) Also the 5080 has 10,752 CUDA cores
Yeah that suck and the same specs of a 4080 Super 😢 they can une 3GB modules to have 24G of VRAM instead if 16 on a 256-bit. The 5090 will be a monster (2x 5080) but i'm sure it will be 2000$ 🤦
I can't wait for RTX 5090 to come out! I can't wait to finally buy... gpus with lower prices!... what? I'm broke, all I can spend is about 150$ on Aliexpress, I want my Rtx 3060 for 150$.
we are going to need steel reinforced motherboards and cases if these cards get any thicker. A brick is more aerodynamic then my 4070ti let alone the 4090
Hey, the leaks originate from a well known leaker Kopite7kimi. He has a good track record for these sort of leaks, however he has flipped flopped on what the specs will be for the 5090 multiple times now. Check out my other video "The 5090 is Coming For your Wallet" to see the other scenario for the 5090. If it does have 32GB of GDDR7, I think it will cost 2.5-3k
And the basic math skills show that the card will be saturated trying to reach the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.1 and or 120 frames at 4096x2160 in games like flight sim 2024. I hope the 5080 and 5090 will at least support 14,16 or 18 bit colors per channel. At least the new cards will have hardware for ray tracing geometry. BTW the math shows that the 5080 will be just over 10% faster than the 4090 as in the previous gen just like the 4070ti super is almost 10% faster than the 3090ti. If Nvidia stays with their Performance ratio Gen over gen these numbers are pretty close. just use some math skills from grade 7 is all you need to figure the ratio's out generation over generation.
There is no way Nvidia is launching the full die for the 5090. Even if it was $3000 people in AI would just buy that instead of a professional Blackwell die. In reality it will more than likely going to be cut down to a 448 bit buffer and 28 GB ram. Nvidia will just launch a Titan and call it the Titan AI for about $3500 and give that the full die with 32 GB and 512 bit bus. If the 5090 is anywhere near $2000 the 5080 will be $1300-$1500. Nvidia will have no competition especially in AI. They’re not stupid they need those prices points to justify their current market CAP.
@@MrHav1k Nvidia was charging $1200 for an 80 class GPU with the 2080ti, and $1200 for the 3080ti and 4080. They had to lower the price when the 4080 Super came out because of competition at $1000. What do you think is going to happen when there is none? It’s going to be spun as this: 4090 performance for $300 less. That is the reason I said $1200 - $1500 for the 5080. What has the street price been for the 4090 for the last year? Up to $1500 for the 5090 is not a stretch. If it sounds like I’m being salty, I am.
@@SiliconSteak I definitely hope you’re right. Something to think about: right now Nvidia cares more about AI than anything else, look at how much gaming is contributing to their revenue. It’s almost just a rounding error. The 5080 comes just under the tariffs for China and AI is booming there just like the rest of the world. The sad thing is Nvidia doesn’t care if gamers are buying their cards and China is a booming market. If I’m right it would be a ripoff, for gamers, but what about AI? Nvidia just cares that their cards are selling at a huge profit. And that is why I’m salty, I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think so. Time will tell. ✌️
If you bought a 4090 when it was new, you have had the fastest gpu there is for more than 2 years. That warrants a high price. I think the same will be true with the 5090, Nvidia won't need to make a 5090 ti or something like that. Because nothing will compete with it, so you can be sure if you buy it you will have the strongest gpu for the next two years. The 5080 on the other hand, it feels like they have already decided to make 5080 ti and perhaps even a 5080 ti super which will be released in steps, to milk the gamers good. I would not buy the 5080, i would wait for the TI version which will have more vram.
@@Moonmonkian Thanks. Thats not a bad sugestion. Though if the 5080 is slightly faster than the 4090, a 5080 Ti will be significantly faster than the 4090.
just so you know, there are quite a few PSU with a 2x 16-pin connectors, my Straight power 12 1200w Platinum being one of them. Also, there is some PSUs like XPG FUSION 1600W 80+ Titanium, which has a few of those connectors. XPG one can even run more than 2x 4090s I think. There are some other models which have a few of these connectors, but I cant recall them all atm
if the 4090 got melting problems and my 4080 didn't , then I'm sticking with the 4080.. 4090 will probably have similar faith as the 4090 as it packs more power.. 600W is just crazy
Yea, like i said though I am more disappointed with the minor 10.5% bump in cuda cores. That really needs to be more like a 30-50% bump getting us to 15K CUDA
In Australia, one can buy a complete 1440p system with LCD and accessories for the cost of unreliable blast furnace 4090, and here comes the entire power station 5090 for what, $500-$700 more....Damn...

Nvidia def could do this. My thought is if they do the 5080 is DOA. No one wants to pay over $1k for a 16gb 256bit card. Feels like a rip off..
