I'll buy a B770 if it launches instead. Hopefully we get some news about it in Q1 otherwise I'll be sticking with my 3060 for a while longer. As much as I like NVIDIA'S products and software, I simply refuse to support their cut back cards and exorbitant prices. I really hope Intel has higher end Battlemage coming out.
I'd have gone for the 5090 if it was $2,000 just to be able to say for once in my life I had the best system money could buy for ego purposes, but financial realities and better sense has thankfully kicked in. RNDA 5 in 2026-27 timeframe will probably give us equal or greater than 4090 performance at the ~$500 price point. Buying these halo cards has never aged all that well from a price/perf standpoint.
Also, for my math for the memory bandwidth I used Gddr7 at 32gbit/s which is Samsungs max speed. It looks like they will run at 28 gbit/s out of the box so a bit slower..
With how poorly games preform nowadays you'll need a 5090 in 2025 for 100 stable fps. In 2014 I bought a evga 780 super for 499. That blew up a little after a year so I upgraded to a evga 980 super for 559. I used that until this year and made a poor impulse choice bought a normal 4070 for 499 at a brick and mortar store. No way I'm upgrading to NVidia again anytime soon. If I can make it 5 years I'll buy a 1K intel card if it competes with the 80 class. If you told me 10 years ago I'd be dying to buy an AMD CPU and a Intel graphics card I would of never believed it.
@@504Trey hahaha 😂 dude, I asked and my card replied with husky voice "I still got it boss, let me show them what I can do" and started doing its tricks and looked at me and now spoke louder "them newbies got nothing on me boss! I am going nowhere!"
I"m eyeing the 8800XT. If that's under $600 it should be solid. I'd probably still go 5070Ti if it's no more than $700, but that'll prob be an $850+ card and at that price becomes harder to justify against the 8800XT. AMD can bring real sanity back to the high end and gain market share if they price this thing well while Nvidia is chasing AI in the datacenter/cloud. LMAO at Nvidia giving anything above $300 12GB...
Yes AMD definitely could. Like they could with every other gen. The only time in recent memory I was really liking Radeon across the board was RDNA 2 though
AMD literally said publicly that they can’t & wont compete high end. Also, they’re pairing their server/gaming GPU’s into one sku. They don’t care about gamers, ur naive AF homie.
Looks like DLSS 4 is going to be locked to 40 series according to Anthony over at TweakTown: " DLSS 4: This is probably my personal favorite part of the excitement of next-gen GPUs from NVIDIA, AI-powered upscaling with a next-gen DLSS 4 that works only on the new Blackwell-based RTX 50 series GPUs. We should expect even higher image quality than offered by DLSS 3.x and new levels of performance with DLSS 4 enabled on a new RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 graphics card." This actually sucks for the rest of us on older cards if true 😢
hahahahaha i like how all people are now like ufff nvidia is expensive also 5060 8gb and nobody should buy that shit also 5090 will be gone in about 10 min for sure and people will say iff expensive yet the moment the rtx 5060 and 5060ti launch they follow like sheeps and buy that trash like bruhh i not buying nvidia any time soon fuck that shit at this point i rather gonna buy AMD gpu cuz nvidia literally doing what they want and that is not good also if they introduce new features and they hide it again behind the pay wall just like 40 series it will be just greed.
I am perfectly fine with 2500-3000 dollars. I appreciate Nvidia for blessing us with much better technology while they could've easily skipped this generation and focused on AI.
@@504Trey THAT IS EXACTLY WHY JENSEN LOVES SMALL BOYS. HE CAN SELL PAPER PCB WITH A GOOD CHEAP ON , LATER IT WILL MELT DOWNM AND NO RMA....KEEP BUYING HAHAHA

Hopefully we start getting good games again.. silver lining ✌🏻
What do you think? Would you buy a $2500 5090, $1200 5080, or $800 4070ti??

I just can't get over of the fact that 8gbs of Vram isn't enough in 2024...man I was playing GTA 3 in the 2000's with a Voodoo 3 with 32MB OF VRAM
The good old days. I just had the same realization when I slotted in my 16GB 7800xt to play Stalker 2... the last Stalker game came out 15 years ago.
warmed up for 5070Ti if it's really $700+tax
@@henson2k honestly I have no idea what they will price that one at. 700-800 would be good

Remember Nvidia tried to sell the 4080 12 Gb for $900.
That was wild
Remember Nvidia tried to sell a 3.5GB card and claim it was 4GB the 970.
This company has always been scummy when it comes to Vram.
damnnn thatss scummy. Hope they don't do that for this launch. I played alan wake 2 recently and i was hitting 17-18gb vram on my 4090.
My 1060 6gb is still running fine on my dual 1080p monitors. I am gonna sit this one out (just like i've done the last 7 years)
yeah i cant even aford 4k stuff lmao im still on 1080p hardware. only wanting to have more powerful graphics card for modding.
