Thank you for your vlog , grief is difficult, takes time and everyone handles it differently. Enjoy your content and look forward to seeing the move . Sheffield made plants vlogger moved within the last month with 200 plants ! Look after your joints ,i have Rheumatoid disease since i was 30 and in my mid 40s osteoarthritis
Thank you for your comments 😊 I've watched his vlog already 👍 Do you take anything to help with your joints? Supplements? 💚
@wyldhouseplants For my Rheumatoid now on infusions, but for osteoarthritis I found diet ( Mediterranean diet ( alot of fish) try to watch my weight ,as more weight puts pressure on joints and strengthening area around knee using resistance bands and wearing patella supports .If in alot of pain try alternating warm hot water bottle and cool one .I find some of the creams are good If pain is bad steroid injections do help .x

Sending love and hugs to you on your loss. Feel the same way about my collection and just want to appreciate them more next year and not bring in so many new ones and keep the ones I’ve got thriving. Thanks Kate 💕💕 wishing you a happy new year!
I enjoy your show! 1st time. I have trouble understanding you when music is too loud... better after music stopped 😊beautiful plants!!
Sorry about that! It seemed ok in edit and then louder once i uploaded it 😅💚
Hugs to you! Grief is hard, but I promise that it does get better 🙏 ❤🫶
Thank you 🥹💕
I have the corn plant like you have on the left side of your video. I just got it and it is not looking good. Help me please. How much water does it take
Which part of the video do you mean? I don't actually own a corn plant. If it's looking sad I would very gently ease it out the pot to check on the roots 💚 I would water a corn plant when the soil is about 80% dry.
Merry Christmas Alexis 🎄🎅 Great video of the highs and lows of your plant collection 😀🇨🇦
Thanks so much! Merry Christmas and happy new year 💚

What a lovely house you have!
Thank you! 😊
I hope you are feeling better soon 🤞 Have a wonderful Christmas 😀🇨🇦
Thank you! The family are dropping like flies 🤧 tis the season! Have a wonderful Christmas too 💚
The first time I did it with my Tineke it worked and I had 2 branches. But when I did it twice after that, it always went on the same way with no branches. At least I have two now, but it's so annoying.
Oh that's interesting, is the plant getting lots of light?
@wyldhouseplants Yes,it does. It is in a south facing window. She has bright light, even direct sunlight in summer. I don't know why it does that. It is really beautiful and grows pretty fast but it just doesn't want to branch out.. 🤷♀️
Thanks so much. Could you share your ‘recipe’ for the zebrina’s semi-hydro mix please? The mix itself and how much you feed it would be great pls :-)
It's in the coarse semi-hydro mix from Soil Ninja (linked in description). I feed every water as she lives under a grow light and is still putting out new growth 💚
Any tips for making my asparagus fern fuller, and not having yellow/brown, dry crispness? It’s in a bathroom and I do mist it to help with humidity but still find it goes crispy lower down, and also doesn’t seem to get much fuller or bush out much when I’ve had it for ages!
I would check the soil, they tend to come in very dense soil but actually prefer a chunkier mix with lots of aeration. Mine took off when I repotted it and now I can water it more frequently and don't worry about the roots rotting. Also don't be afraid to trim it back 💚
@ thank you, if I trim it back would you propagate cuttings in water or perlite?
Also can I ask what you use to hang your pots from the velux windows in the kitchen please?
@@Holly-Bell cable ties 😊
@@Holly-Bell I meant more trim back to unhealthy bits (yellow/dry) but if I was to propagate I'd probably opt for perlite 💚
Always look forward to your vids! Your collection is amazing and also you’re such a great educator!
Thank you so much! That means a lot 💚
❤❤❤❤
Absolutely love your videos. I always get a few tips and tricks from you. Keep 'em coming! From across the pond in Ireland x
Hello! Thank you so much, definitely planning to ramp up the content in 2025 💚
I love the joyful glow on your face as you're talking about the plants you really love at the moment. :)
Aw what a nice thing to say 😊💚 thank you!
Love your content so much, I’ve binged all of your videos! Would love to hear more about your job as a plant technician!
Thank you so much! 😊 I did make a video about my job, I just need to get round to posting it! 💚
Can I ask, do you need to rinse all soil off propagations before they go into perlite? And likewise when going from perlite to soil or pon does all of the perlite need to be rinsed off?
If I'm going from soil to any other substrate then yes I try to remove as much soil as possible, but if I'm going from perlite to soil or pon then I don't bother as perlite won't do the plant any damage :)
That's very helpful thank you. I've been struggling for ages with mine, and suspect not enough light, and over watering. I really love the baby version. 😍 New subscriber, I'm glad I found you.
Glad it was helpful 💚 the baby is getting big now I wanted it to stay small forever 😊 Don't worry if yours doesn't grow much over the winter, they can go a bit dormant and then pop back to life in the spring 🌱
@@wyldhouseplants thank you for your reply. I'm in summer here in Australia, so I have the opposite problem to you. Yes I'd love it to stay small too, as I think they're prettier. I've been on a binge, watching your older videos. :)
@@EssEmm3ah I see well enjoy the Summer, not jealous at all 😅! Aw thank you for watching my videos, it means a lot 💕
I bought recently a Zebrina which was pushing a new leaf. The plant drops it’s little leafs from the beginning. Now almost all leafs are hanging after watering. However, I always make sure that there is no waterlogging. It is now in a bright room at around 20 degrees. What am I doing wrong?
Oh no 😯 sounds like an issue with the roots, I'd gently lift it out of the pot to have a look at the roots 💚
Couldn't help but notice isn't it risky to put so many pots on the microwave?
We rarely use it so it never gets very hot 💚
It could be that Pilea moon valley needed a little more water ;) I don't think it needs high humidity, but frequent watering with small amounts of water, indirect light, and pruning. It'll survive😉 Have a nice day!
Thanks I hope it does 🤞 I need keep it fairly moist so I think it might just not be the plant for me ☺️💚
chunky chunky roots! 🥰
The best! 💚
I love these problem-solving videos. I cannot for the life of me grow the Pilea Peperomiodes indoors, even tho people say it's easy peasy. (Outside, on the deck in filtered light, it thrives, w/leaves the size of wee pancakes). Out of curiosity, what would have happened if you "topped" that mother plant? On some plants, that works to force growth below. Also, would keiki paste work where the mother lost leaves? I love me some topiaries and remember admiring your PP when you did the recent tour. Thanks ... wonderful to have the expertise of a houseplant professional.
Oh wow I'd love to see leaves the size of pancakes 😊 I thought about topping her or trying keiki paste but I decided she had just gotten too tall and I want her to look more compact again. I've got another one that's growing nicely so I thought I would have an experiment with this one 🤞🤞💚
@@wyldhouseplants LOL "wee" pancakes and my niece has harvested lots of shower gifts from that beast, so I finally gave her the mother. But, these now are priced reasonably, so I'm going to try again, by staking from the get-go + placing directly beneath an overhead light. We shall see. Thanks again for your rehab videos ... so helpful!
I have a noid oxalis and love it! It's not full like yours, but it's still very cool and almost succulent like
Such a fun plant 💚
Things happen 😀🇨🇦
yup, we just have to adjust and try again 💚
Great to have a uk u-tuber for a change, love your videos so much I’ve gone back to your first video so I can follow your journey with you, good luck with your Chanel and I look forward to your next video 🪴
Thank you so much, what a lovely comment :)
Do you reuse your soil after you feed it?
Do you mean when I repot do I reuse the old soil? 💚
Well said. Thanks
Thanks for watching! 💚
Hi, new follower here :) Can i ask if you wipe each leaf if you see the nasty bug shells on the leaf? Would you recommend scrubbing jade leaves or spraying lots? I tried a cotton bud on the jade and its dented now :(
I would opt to shower the plant first to blast off the worst of the infestation. I would then spray the plant down, and if it has large leaves I'd wipe, if not just spray, leave and then repeat weekly. Hope that helps!
Very nice.
Thanks 😊
Hello
Hi 💚
My Hoya linearis flowers remind me of the smell of a small blue vinyl case I had as a child that I called my Paddington Bear case. How odd that I recall that nearly 50 years on ❤
Aw I love that 💚 smells can be so powerful
I'm quite impressed by your clarinervium 👌 I'm considering giving up on mine. It is sooo slow... My other Anthuriums keep pushing out new leaves, well, except for the veitchii, but at least that one looks alright. As for the clarinervium, I just don't seem to get the care right. I have a small crystallinum that has been sizing up nicely and I find it so much easier to care for. I do love the shape of clarinervium leaves though.
As I say it's the best it's ever looked, it's come a long way in the last few months and previously didn't look like much at all! At least your other Anthurium got the assignment 😊💚
I also have a Florida ghost, I want to ask if your plant has ever flowered, I wonder what it looks like? However, many people recommend that when potential flowers appear at the same time as new leaves appear, it is better to just cut off the potential flowers because it can slow down the potential new leaves. What do you think?
None of my Philodendron have flowered for me, but many of my other aroids have, especially Alocasia and Anthurium. Most Aroid flowers are not much to look at and you're right lots of people do say to cut them off they believe they take energy away from producing leaves. I have been experimenting with this a bit over the last few months as there is evidence that you should let your plants flower and if you cut the flower off, they will just produce another flower. I tend to take it plant by plant and decide what to do 💚
Your plants are doing great 👍🇨🇦
These ones are 😁 definitely are few that are struggling too! It's been so grey in the UK.
I would take a guess on the anthurium being a hybrid x Silver Blush, because of the slightly thicker veination 😁
Ooh interesting, thank you, I hadn't thought of that :)
Your Zebrina is epic what a great job
Thank you! She had a really good Summer but her growth is slowing down now with the shorter days, I'll probably get her a grow light. Do you have a Zebrina?
@wyldhouseplants I have 4 Alocasias but not a Zebrina although still time haha, I have mine under grow lights for the winter
Hey new sub here I am dealing with Thrips right now 🤦♂️ what was the bug spray that you use thanks
Hey! Urgh honestly thrips are the worst. Provanto is the chemical pesticide I use if you want quick results 🤞🤞
@wyldhouseplants Thank you very much
I’m battling with them too now. Waiting on beneficial insects to help with that.
Ugh they are the worst! I had some success with beneficials over the last few months 🤞
Healthy plants
Thank you, lots of work but worth it 💚
Very beautiful plants 🪴
They really are 💚
