Duude why skip the carb removal, iam having a big frustration time taking off mine and can't find any detailed video on how to remove them especially on that model.

I have the c2 from 1999. I've been everywhere on it from tracks to touring. It's such a comfy all round rocket. The C version had a tad more power and lighter 182kg. I've owned mine from a year old. The bike not me 😂 and I'll never part with it. It holds far too many memories 😊👍👍

As an R1M owner who has a pretty good idea what one of these is like to ride, I’d ditch it and get a Streetfighter. I’m all about adrenaline dumps and high speeds but even to a hardcore sportbike owner, there is a limit to what is reasonable and prudent in a life and limb sense-there’s no value in a bike that doesn’t really work under 100mph on public roads……..Sure, the Streetfighter or similar super naked isn’t *that* much slower, but at least you’re not uncomfortable…. Me, I’m in the market for a Speed Triple for this exact reason-I’m getting too old and broken to enjoy these bikes and even with 9 bikes in my garage (three are the wife’s), unless I’m on the way into, in the middle of, or out of a corner,….. I’d rather be on something else. The sole exception to that is her Street Triple RS-if I could get that with leg room I’d want to ride nothing else…. So Speed Triple 1200 it is.

James, you and I could be great friends and riding partners…. Really enjoyed your video and bike. I’ve had a long list of really exotic motorcycles and I get it-your enjoyment of your TDR is infectious and I feel like I’m there with you talking about it, listening to it and smelling the burnt two stroke… very happy for you! We didn’t get these TDR’s in the USA so they are about as rare as rocking horse poop in the states-but after seeing this I’ll definitely keep an eye out for them. Are these fitted with RZ350 cases or is the engine an offshoot of the TZR 3MA? If you’re ever in Detroit, respond to this reply and we’ll figure out how to hook up and go for a ride on my bikes!

Got an 03 Fazer with 16,000 mls. It had 10,000 when I bought it fifteen months ago. Totally reliable, oil and filter change and a back tyre after a nail. Gets up and goes when needed, but can pootle through town traffic. Love it...

Love the e92 only have the 2litre Msport at present but love the car but looking at the e92 m3 for next motor this will sit alongside my Hayabusa gen 1 but will prob keep the trust Msport also as this though 170 bhp has been a reliable good looking motor bmw all the way .

A really nice time wrapped condition GSXR 750 water cooled. They make at the back wheel on the Dyno. Between 90/95 horse power. Showing my age now back in the summer of 1993 PDQ in Taplow did a open day. Off which there was Dyno contest. I owned a 1990 GSXR 750 L. with a full Cobra RS exhaust on it. Still have the photos of it. Anyway there was a few water cooled GSXR'S put on the Dyno and did 90 to 95 with race exhausts on them. Anyway to my surprise and everyone else. My 1990 750 L won the contest. With a 100 horse power at the back where. With standard jetting. Which it was running lean. However all early GSXR'S are brilliant bikes whether they are oil cooled or water cooled. I think you can't go wrong with the one in your video 👍.

Great vid James ! I purchased my ZX7R from Carnells Milton Keynes in 97 I still have him , we did Brands Indy in September,spent a week at IOM and seem to ride similar roads I’ll keep a look out for a purple Suzuki and a retro paddock jacket ! 90s bikes just make me smile !

Nice.! I have a B1 also 24000 miles. Got an issue with mine overcharging. saying 15.15volts with the lights on. Changed the regulator Im reconing its to do with the light bulbs, theres one in there that dosnt like it. Any ideas wjere else to look if its not the bulbs........?

Im in the middle of a pani tear down right now. How did you split the cases? Did you buy the liner puller tool? I kept slowing down your video to see , but it looks like you didn’t pull the piston sleeves. Any help would be much appreciated 😊

Thanks a bunch!!! I'm having the same problem and did the same tests and replacement. Now I know how close it is to starting, Just have to fuel up the carbs, and update my plates & insurance.

Ducati 99.9% effort goes into looks, .1% goes into mechanical reliability. The disillusioned Ducati owner that I now am. Will never buy another one. They're just a name/brand that make pretty, but mechanically unreliable bikes..

The Honda VFR 800 without the can is an absolutely sounds like a brute. Aftermarket exhaust give the VFR's it's true sound. Greetings from Australia. I've had two VFR's 750/800 and planning to get another one hopefully before Christmas.

Damage was probably from debris in the oil.if it was from heat,things would change color

Very good informative video . I had the car new in 2015 and after various other cars I’m going back to this exact model to get the fun back into driving . Buying from BMW 1 owner 27k so should be good .was nervous about buying an older car as I always have new . Your video has convinced me it’s the right move. Thank you

And that’s why I will never buy a Ducati,, any thing u have to buy for them is crazy prices,, I no they build a nice bike but dam,, Ducati no they can charge big money for the bikes and parts,, they have convenience enuff fanboys that there bikes are worth it,, I’ll stick with the Japan bikes and aprilia,, aprilia parts are a little pricey but nothing like Ducati, mind boggling prices
