She’s a beauty, how do you find such beauty’s? Love the fact people are starting to appreciate the older bikes 🏍️. Keep the content coming, im loving it 🥰
Thanks for the video. I love these super sport bikes from the 90s. But I still remember how I stood in front of these machines as a child and marveled with enthusiasm. I have a zx9r myself since this year and am looking forward to the next video.
Hi James, I put a bid in on that one too! Glad you got it, as the one that I did win needs a bit of going over as well, so I can measure my progress with your content!…..
Had a B1, burgundy and grey, around 1999, think it had only 4k on clock. The guy was selling it after only 2 weeks as his wife burst into tears when she saw it and thought he would be killed on it !! Loved it, straight line performance excellent and so comfortable on long runs. Handliing was strange though, even on excellent tyres it was like it often would not tip in to corners unless forced a bit.... and then later on I read an old Performance Bikes article in which they determined the shock linkage design was flawed and didnt allow the shock to function in its full range.... when the mag really used to delve and had the late and brilliant John Robinson doing the tech stuff (think the factory altered it on the B2 tho' and it was thereon a good handler) Not sure if only some bikes had the problem but I can assure you it did exist.... Excellent machines, wish I had a nice low miler now for retro days out 👍 And that induction noise....... 😉
Oh also an original screen and other items actually. I've restored 3 of them now. An Ebony Black one. A Candy Wine Red one and the obligatory Green one. But I've also got a full Teal Pearl Green fairing which is SUPER RARE. Best regards.
They did actually change quite many bits between that and '98 C1 I had. I love that frame arrangement in these. Valve clearance, plugs, carbs etc. is so nice to do in these. I got ZZR1400 with leaking oil from cam casing. Though it's simple thing to do. Got the fairings out and I was astound how little space there was to work. It took me like three evenings do everything. I literally thought that I need to drop the engine out completely to make that gasket change. Huge frameparts going over engine. Absolute nightmare.
From Denmark, I have is nice old green with black frame ZX9R it is a 1994 model, first registered in 1996. I love it, it's heavy but nice to drive, mine has driven approx. 39,000 miles, = approx. 63,000 km.
Love the kawasaki,s....started off on a two stroke kh100ex in gloss black that looked mad,,even now,, last kawasaki i had was a 636a1p in red and black that went like sh£t off a shovel, i unfortunately had to sell it,, would have loved to have kept it,, and ironically that needed the suspension nebuilding, so it kinda worked out ok,, i did toy with the idea of getting a zx9,, looked into a fireblade to,, but settled on a Italian aprilia rsv1000 first generation because i love there speed mainly and how easy they build torque from nothing to silly speeds...can't wait to see this icon back fighting fit ready to rock at silly speeds. Great bike, great video.
I just got done restoring a B4 1997 zx9r, if it has 30k plus miles I’d recommend a valve adjustment and since it’s a 95 I’d also recommend replacing the head gasket as they are known to fail on the B1-B3 models.
Overall not too bad for it's age, good luck with it. I ride the 2000 E1, although it's off the road as just done the head gasket, then had some issues after lol
No I don’t think so, runs like a dream so will just be doing basic maintenance. For seal video coming on this weekend and then next weekend will get the full ride video up 👍
I am eyeing up one of these, it's in concourse condition & a 1997 B1 with 10800 miles from new. I've been cautioned that the B1 is known to blow head gaskets around 20000 miles & a major job to sort. Do you know if this is in fact a true known serious issue?

Правда 👍✌️
I still have my 2000 ZX9R ..got it new ..I have 128000 miles on it..still runs .rides ..and stops like new !!!
James, perfect timing, I am about to start working on the same model and colour as yours. Looking forward to future vids
Thank you

Awesome thanks for sharing
Another superb clip 👍

Many thanks!
Look forward to seeing you tidying this up and getting it out on the road 💚🤍💜
i had a ZX-6R similar year, absolute bullet proof pocket rocket, the london traffic was my playground for several years, amazing times
Awesome machine. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

Always wanted one of these
Looking forward to the next stage
Thanks 👍 Couple of new vids out now 😁
I’ve got the C2, lovely bikes. I had GSXR SRADs and an R1 in the day. The ninja was a better more rounded bike with a brill engine
I own a 97 and it's in show room condition, and it's a beast
Thats a good find, they are a lot of bike for the money. I have a later C model as a track bike and its great.
Love 90s sports bikes nice color schemes bodys new bikes are so advanced now but so boring these older bikes had character and soul
Well said 👍
Nice work. She looks very much like my ZXR750 L3 with her clothes off ❤
That's cool!

Well done on your channel. I wish you all the best!
Thank you
I've placed a vid up of my extremely original ZX9R B1. Check it out please.

Lovely!! Thanks for watching
Had one and I sold it at iirc 134 tkm's '98 though I think there's plenty of life in that left if not used like a fool 🙂
Great video

Хороший вариант для мотоцикла 💪🚀✌️
Be warned that air box howl is addictive
It certainly is ! I just bought this bike 🤘🏻
You dismembered and reassembled Buzz Lightyear. You monster
The model newer was a nz sbk champ bike .
Are you going to be checking the valve clearances? If so can you do a video covering it?
Great vids by the way 😊
No I don’t think so, runs like a dream so will just be doing basic maintenance. For seal video coming on this weekend and then next weekend will get the full ride video up 👍
I still have my 2000 ZX9R..128000 miles ..runs like new still ..IV always kept up on valve adjustments..ITS SO IMPORTANT !!.

No sure to be honest! This one was fine!
@@jamescrawshaw71Good to know, thanks. I'm buying one, fingers crossed mine behaves similarly......
Miss myvold b1
Buzz Lightyear
That’s what the kids called it hahahah
Will do thumbs up only if you remove the eyesore of a beercan
Don’t worry that gone with the new rear shock!! Looked terrible but took me back to the 90’s when so many people used to do it!!
@@jamescrawshaw71 thank you very much, give that bike the love she deserves
"cowazakee"
That bike is blatently property of Buzz Lightyear.
Toy Story also came out in 1995.
A year after the 9r then as these B1's are originally 1994, this is just a later registered B1.
I have an original end can if you're interested?
I'm all good for parts but thanks very much for the offer.
@@jamescrawshaw71
Please have a look at my Candy Wine Red B1 1994
kawaSaki......not zaki...🤮🤮🤮
Not sure what you mean there Adam? Have I spelt something wrong..
These are a pig to ride. Could never match any fireblade
Rides beautifully to me my friend, fantastic bike 😁👍
The ZX9r's were better than the blades of the time, especially the later ZX9r's.
They are far better than a Blade 😆
