Great video thank you. I’ve wondered for some time why Asian men don’t have the same dominance and you explained that well. Asian men are smaller in stature and therefore cannot hit the ball as far which is more important in the men’s game. I’m a little disappointed you didn’t mention Karrie Webb, with the exception of Annika Sorenstam, Karrie has the most LPGA wins in the modern era with 41 victories. Aside from Annika, Karrie is the only non American in the all time top 10 winners list of the LPGA. I thought that would have been worth a mention. Thanks for the video.

I do not believe that either player were ruined by David Leadbetter. I believe that their Korean culture demands hard work, and both players saw success with David. The pressure of being in the spotlight and the rigorous training schedules took a toll on them. Lydia won a lot of tournaments under David. Lydia left David and couldn't find that success after changing caddies, coaches and equipment over and over. She finally went to Sean Foley who helped her get back to being successful again. Being a talented child prodigy takes a toll on a person with everything that goes with it. To blame David after all the success Lydia had under his direction IMO is unfair. Michelle suffered many injuries, but she was golfing for many years at a very young age. I don't think you can actually say David was to blame.

In Korea; when you are an athlete; one's entire life is commited to the craft. Its just the way Korean culture is. Very minimal school/education. Complete do or die for atheltes. Unlike America; school education and sport has to be equal priority

Well said. I am a Korean male and proud to be one. One of my cousins who is also Korean went to UC Berkeley (do not wish to give out name) with full scholarship and now his on the PGA tour. A lot of discipline and a lot of work. Well done.

There's also a but of a culture thing. Asian girls seem to enjoy hitting balls and improving their swing and find tue game interesting. Most western women think it's kind of a dumb game and don't take it seriously.

Because our women had a head start with freedom here… now other countries have free women too. Now it’s going to come down to skill and hard work. I doubt our ladies can stay near the top for much longer.

Only partly correct - only the obvious - it is much more than that. Just for a start - in Korea talented juniors are kept on the driving ranges for years honing their swings and techniques - they have to 'earn' being allowed to play on a real golf course - and they continue doing that. In Japan and Thailand and China it is the same - the girls have to earn their way up the chain - nothing is given and they accept being driven to succeed - most western girls do not and will not accept that. The second main issue is mental toughness and commitment - that is genetic and endemic in Asia - that is why more and more American LPGA Pros are Asian Americans. Most western girls are spoilt and self-centred - they are treated like Princesses and they do not have a clue about self-sacrifice - and that is what it takes to be successful on a Pro tour. Getting back up when knocked down, and accepting things dont always go your way, is something Asian women have inside them from a young age. There are some other reasons too - but that is enough. 5/10.
