I think Tom and Peter had some surprisingly good episodes. For example The Caves Of Androzani was a good episode. Some however, weren't so great. E.g City of Death or something like that, but 95% of them were bangers!

In my opinion, Moffat had the best understanding of what the show and the character of the Doctor is. Had flaws, as all writers do, but his passion for the show is unrivalled.

Things I learned: 1. All the ‘important’ names are surprisingly consistent 2. They never pronounce the R in Cybe*R*man?!?! 3. Daleks pronounce Omega like an American does, while Benton was the only one who pronounced it like a New Zealander

Jon Pertwee my second favourite doctor who

I rewatched The Five Doctors the other day and finally recognized the shot of Jon Pertwee driving Bessie as the one Clara showed up in, and wondered why of all the shots of him they could have used, they used one that wasn’t even from his own era xD I didn’t realize until now that the shot of Patrick Troughton was also from The Five Doctors!

I feel like the advent of video calling has altered the way camera looks can be understood. Some of them read as though they were looking at the audience, like a 4th wall break, but sometimes like in the TDOTD his "no sir all 13" it reads as though he's looking at the Timelords through a video call. And some of the old episodes are kinda recontextualized through this. The random people on the street. To me they aren't looking at me, they are looking at whoever is opposite them, because it's a public place and there are undeniably more people there

And its even got a reference to soup man's obsession with soup

My favourite part was when they reversed the polarity.

Spiking the camera (or "looking at the camera") is not inherently a 4th wall break. It can be, but it's the intent behind it that makes it a 4th wall break. For example: Martha could have just as easily looking at whoever was adjacent to her around the console.

Ok you could argue that the 1st and 2nd were because the Eleventh Doctor remember hearing the first as the Tenth Doctor and thought great idea. Not sure about the third.

It does seem in line with the Doctor that he makes people "luckily" win the lottery to get out of bad situations every now and then

If you somehow came across this video having no knowledge of the show beyond 2011, the thumbnail might make you think that John Bishop is the Twelfth Doctor, and I love that

I don’t know why, but I found the Mara flashback the most chilling, probably because while we do also hear the lightning from the hands of the Gods of Ragnarok, the fact the Mara screams, with Sutekh’s music in the background, adds an extra layer of terror to the atmosphere. Sutekh’s flashback is also chilling due to the lack of music as we get the flashback, mixed with the Fourth Doctor seemingly in pain, almost as if fighting Sutekh was actually slightly traumatic for the Doctor.

I love that you ended it with reverse the jelly baby of the neutron flow
