Based on how the title sequences in series 7 get darker every time, and the weirdly large amount of shots in the episodes focused on flickering lights, and the fact moffat was super overworked at the time, I think there's a strong chance it tied into a plot arc that got cut for some reason.
I always thought it was getting darker because it was leading up to the death of the Ponds and it wanted to be forbearing
Idk, as the colour got slowly further more different from usual it left me wanting to know why. Felt like smth was going to happen, and I was right
Where’s the Carnival of Monsters Delaware Theme?
That was Australia exclusive only. So it doesn't count
Not broadcast in the UK.
i love Matt smith’s era so much because everything about the show kept changing in such subtle ways exactly like 11’s adhd. His title sequence having so many different varieties makes so much sense for his character and i hate that no one else here talked about it. The directors went out of their way for his era and it was so, so, so well executed. Truly one of the best eras.
I kinda wish 7as titles weren't so oversaturated, but I do love that they exist
@@DittoGTI i like the oversaturated style, it matches how matt portrays the vibrant character. It matches his energy for the episode, sometimes correlated to the overall emotion.
@@LeBeaBae It just seems cheap to me. Like a crap Instagram filter
@@DittoGTI i don’t think it’s cheap just because it’s simple. sometimes little details like that can help people who notice tiny details have some fun. I personally loved the colors, they felt fun and different, especially for my adhd.
@@LeBeaBae The colours were good I just hated how oversaturated they were. And also I wish they'd kept the 3D text
I was kinda expecting the text scroll from The Deadly Assassin, unless that doesn't count?
That’s not the title sequence.
cool
You also missed Terror of the Zygons!
I believe you missed out in Series 9 Heaven Sent where only Peter Capaldi’s name appears, as Jenna Coleman obviously wasn’t in it
They also don't mention that Husbands of River Song also has Alex Kingston's credit. Not the only thing that makes that intro unique, but something to note
Damn, these sequences would make great horror movie intros.
❤
Seeds of Death? Space Pirates? Spearhead from Space?
can we agree that matt's 2nd opening its so mid?
It was a good concept but executed so awfully
Why did they ever have to change the titles?
Series 7a got creative with their titles eh?
what about the delaware theme
Was never used.
@@DrWhoFanJ but like.... it SHOULDVE been :(
@@DrWhoFanJI believe it was accidentally broadcasted for two episodes in Australia
@@DittoGTI Indeed it was broadcast* twice in Australia. Australia is not the UK, though, and they were indeed both unintended.
@@DrWhoFanJ Now I'm wondering... I believe the Delaware theme is also used in the blu-ray releases of Pertwees episodes, but is it anywhere on iPlayer
The dinosaurs on a spaceship titles being out of sync makes me angry.
