The War Games is approximately 250 minutes. 3 minutes of this is the TARDIS team getting captured. That means about just over 1% of the entire story's run time is them getting captured.
I think the main difference is that it feels like the characters make a small bit of progress in every episode of the War Games. Whereas for Frontier in space, it’s not until the penultimate episode that it gains any momentum.
it's not a lie when people say the war games is just them getting captured and recaptured... but it's still a great story and i will never accept real slander for it :)
This channel is awesome lol - well done 🫡 - if I might put in a request, I'd be very interested to see every time anyone mentions the Time Lords across the length & breadth of Doctor Who (including all the implicit references in the 60s) - would make a cool video! 😅
and this, ladies and gentlemen, is why they introduced the Psychic Paper in New Who, to prevent scenarios like this from occurring and padding out the story. because let's be real here: it's padding.
POV: when you're in a getting captured competition and your opponent is the war games

This is the best thing I've seen on the internet all day, and it's not even teatime yet.
And I thought Frontier In Space was the most capture-dense story

Shorter for the colour version of the story methinks. We'll wait and see.
