Great episode series! Thank you.
I been to Arizona did a road trip back in 2008 in my little honda civic bubble from east to west coast stopped at many national parks and camped still have to visit many more maybe I'll take my hawk 250 and my wife take the lifan 150 or Vader 125 but I'd have to tune it to do at least 75 to 80 mph
Hey I live in PA I just bought a hawk lol should start a chonda club lol
bro the cdi for my moped it 100 quid
The hell a notary cannot make a title
I have scooter looks like this one of yours it's a kazuma aiboshi 185 cc anyone had about this please help
That chain is too tight half inch of play each way
What sheet are you referencing
Do 150cc scooters take synthetic oil?? My Manual doesn't say to use synthetic. Will it run better with synthetic? I also have weird brand Chinese scooter. Thank you for your time video was very informative.
I got a front fairing similar to yours. Does the fairing turn withthe handlebars or stay still, connected to the frame?
Are we supposed to leave the engine on while draining the oil?
Yo my dude in my gy6 motor in a Wolf rx-50 the filter go down into the spring not the way You had done it I know it's 4 yrs later but have You had any problems with it???
Pollen, but what you're really running. Your finger through is tree sperm.
Do you need a resitor for the light bulb
No resistor needed.
Hey ,im in AZ too. New rider here, ive acquired a2021 hawk rps with only 39 miles on it. After watching hours of videos on TH-cam, i decided to do what the majority of hawk owners do, which is get a nibbi carb and pod filter. Im planning on. Deleting the airbox and maybe the aftermarkwt exhaust. Again, I am a newbie rider and any imput would be grwatly appreciated. My question after installimg the nibbi carb, do i leave it as is or do i rejet? If so what number would you recommend? Thanks in advance.
It definitely depends where in AZ you are. Deleting the airbox and putting a free flowing exhaust on will make the bike run more lean, so you will probably need a bigger main jet and possibly a pilot jet.
@TyposGarage I am in rio rico. That's close to border of nogales mexico.
I appreciate the video buddy, just picked me up one as a beginner bike & seeing different opinions on how it rides makes me want to get on it and go lol. Good video buddy
This was extremely helpful. Now as far as you not knowing how much oil to put in if when you do your next video or when you change your oil for the next time. And you're comfortable as the exactly how much oil you need. Pour the remaining oil from the container into a measuring glass. The difference between what wasn't poured into the measuring glass compared to what a full oil container was that will always be the exact amount of oil you have to put in. So pour that oil back in noting on a paper how much oil was left container. Get yourself some type of plastic clear container put a mark on it. Take the next oil container that you get for that into that clear container with the mark on it. That should be the exact amount of oil that engine should take time after time after time.
Last week in PA, I went to a Notary/Tag service to register/title my TBR7, and I also needed either a rubbing or a photo of the actual VIN.
What happens if overfilled? The bike would not start. But I redrained and added the correct amount assuming it was to much but still won’t start
What type of handguards do you have
I'm pretty sure they are just some ebay guards. I'll dig up the link and add it to the description when I get a second
We're waiting for merch, I'll buy a Typo's Garage tshirt
Can i used motorcycle oil on my scooter 150cc?
You sure can
My son has a KLR, almost 75K miles on it and runs like the first day. It's a keeper :) I didn't see any content from your channel in a while. The last I saw was the update on the VStar a few months ago. The algorithm stopped suggesting your videos. Today I found this browsing my subs.
Wow, that's good to know. As soon as I change the type of bike I'm featuring in the videos, the views plummet.
Great video thumbs up 👍
if you get new pipes get the fiberglass baffles on ebay sounds good.
So is there not a part 2 or 3 to your scooter videos
Will definitely try this tonight when I get home. My GY6 150 has been doing this recently. You couldn’t have explained it better.
Nice scooter
Lol I watched the whole thing to see if you caught a really loud MT-07 on camera since I also live in Flag
Ha! You wouldn't happen to haul ass down 40 often, do you? I can see the highway from my house and always hear that motor screaming. Lol
@@TyposGarage occasionally, I live on the west side of town and typically don't go past Butler lol
Thank goodness you were there to tell him "You stalled it" right after he stalled it, hearing that he stalled it with his ears, and feeling he stalled it with no more vibrations but, there was nothing that sealed the deal until you said "You stalled it" GREAT JOB!!!
Well, he knows how to ride now, so obviously, it worked. Man, you really broke that one down for me. Thanks!
Bro has been so busy he hasn't shaved his neck 😂 jk buddy It's a great video. I like the editing. Happy trails
😂😂
When I would come home to visit family and had a beard, my Dad would ask "What did you do, lose your razer, boy?"
I was considering purchasing this bike, but I've come across numerous horror stories about having to constantly rejet the carb if you plan to ride in the mountains. I live at an elevation of 2,500 feet and often ride at much higher elevations. It sounds like a hassle to adjust for different elevations. I'd love to see a video on how you manage this issue when riding through such a broad range of elevations in a single day.
So, I'm sure that I will be doing any super long rides with the Hawk where the elevation changes enough to need to change the jets. Since I went from a 110 to a 100/102, I would probably just carry a 95, 105, and a 110 to cover the range. I think I dropped about 1200 feet when I rode out to the Edge of the World, but I didn't have any issues with tuning. I was probably right at the edge of being too lean, but I didn't notice any difference. The carb is really easy to take off, so it would only take a few minutes to drop in a new jet if you're noticing issues.
@@TyposGaragethank you for this information. My hawk arrives tomorrow. Would love to see a video of you covering how to change jets at different elevations. I’ve not seen a video like that on all of TH-cam, and I know people have been looking for one :-).
I'm at 6000 ft and am running the stock with the mixer at 2 turns on the mixer with a thin washer under the needle and she is running pretty good. I do have an aftermarket muffler and a pod filter on it. Since i don't get to wet out here in northern Nevada the pod filter is my choice because i had the same issue with the intake hose. 😎👍
What size/type of o-ring/seal to replace for cylinders?
I honestly do not have that info. You might want to look on their website because they do sell replacement parts from the factory.
I love videos like this
My Hawk, a 2024, came with built in problems: the factory battery is horrible and needed immediate replacement. The battery "cables" are nothing more than thick wires and could not deliver enough power to the starter and the solenoid. The cable for the solenoid is a mere 3 inches long and I was able to find a custom length battery cable on eBay. I also performed a valve adjustment. So my bike is in pretty good shape now, but the idea that there will be no issues - is an issue.
My scooter starts goods, however when I try to accelerate it won’t move
Definitely something with the CVT transmission. Possibly a belt
That’s how I was I just learn today how to ride
Anyone have an idea? I have new carb, new coil, new cdi, new cyliner set and a new spark plug. Really strong spark comes out but the engine wont even cough. The valves are in:0.1mm ex:0.15mm.
I went with the bsr raven. 65mph on gps speedometer stock 😁 gonna drop the rear sprocket from 46 down to 42, and get some good 80/20 tires for a less buzzy ride at above 45mph. Other than that, shes a champ out of the box 💪
i got the 2023 hawk dlx EFI and got 75 mph out of it stock i weigh 180 so really impressed me and came with 17 and 45 sprockets
The speedos are know to be up to 20mph off. You did not get 75.
Looks amazing
I appreciate it!
🤙🤙
