Hello i have an 159 1.9 jtdm 16v and i have a problem of no power and the car wont go over 4k rpm and my fuel gauge is going up and down very fast, it happened and then it stoped and now again the same problem ?

good morning bruno. Do you have an email to which I can send you some photos and information on why you should not use that tensioner on JTD 8V? As I told you, I have had problems with water leaks through the pump shaft, the problem was that tensioner. thank you!

So very good video. Now I feel calm replacing the belts after seing this and that about the 16v. My old 159 will come back to the roads after 8 years in garage.

i have an opel/vauxhall vectra c which also uses the 1.9 jtd engine (ctdi is the name for opel) and a double mass flywheel I hope to never hea that sound, I cannot afford it hahaha

I had the same problem this winter. Replaced starter for a stronger 2.2kw one and now it starts like new car again. One of my injectors is weaker too but the new starter fixed my problem

i want to save my 159ti wagon and i am considering to do this. do i use same headgasket than 159 originals?? or maybe gasket from 156??

I just changed 2 thermostats and still the water temp goes down to 73-75 degrees when I turn the heater blower on. If I drive it normally without turning on the heat, the temp will rise to 87-88 degrees max. I checked the big coolant hose with my hand while the engine is warming and it only gets hotter after it reaches 87 degrees so it means that the thermostat is opening correctly. Is the coolant temp drop normal for this engine?

I have Just found the problem.When a bulb inside is burned out, this problem is occured.change the bulb and use your control panel again.

I have same problem.Can we repair the control panel for this problem or I need to get a 2nd hand for the replacement

Here in the UK alternative fuels have never really been popular, although LPG has been available for 30 years as an aftermarket fitment for the likes of old petrol Range Rovers and Mercedes MLs but not direct from the vehicle manufacturer.

Hi Bruno, in my 147 jtdm 8v with DPF (2010) if I use the EGR plate with the three holes, i have error P0401 insufficient egr flow. Now, i swapped my old EGR with new Marelli one because it was too dirty and hard to move, i have no error using the "normal" open gasket but when i try the plate with the small holes it gives error (only on diagnostic, no engine light right now). In EPER i see with my VIN the plate 55226183 with the three holes, but maybe i need slightly larger holes? I really like using it because it reduces fuel consumption, better turbo response, less soot in intake and it gets rid of the "sawing" at around 2000rpm and light accelerator pedal. Any suggestion?

Hi man ! First I would like to thank you for your amazing explanations which I’ve followed perfectly to get the best synchronisation of this engine and now I know it’s the best way to do this job. Secondly, after doing this belt synchronisation 4 times perfectly with the engine running for over 30 minutes, after shutting off the engine, the intake cam only gets off (unsynchronized) about 3 to 4 teeth. I’ve redone it 3 times and always the same results… engine starts, run perfectly and at one point the synchronisation gets off only on the intake. Tensioner is new with the right belt tension. I don’t know what is wrong with this engine. Could you help me out to understand this problem please ? Thank you for doing those videos passionately 🙏

My Giulietta is a converted LPG one. I always use LPG. Just makes financial sense. Also cleaner than both Petrol and Diesel. More power too when using TURBO. Well done on repair

Watching your video I have realized that I haven't torque the head bolts correctly. I done only 90 degree. U saved me and thanks a lot! I haven't started the engine, I only need to remove the cylinder head cover and retighten the bolts to the correct torque and angle.

Bonjour, Le garage a changer mon volant moteur LUK. J'avais d'origine du SACHS. et maintenant ma audi a3 vibre partout, et j'ai un bruit de féraille quand je demarre la voiture (audi a3 TDI 140cv). J'ai beaucoup de vibration dans l'habitacle, sur la pédale d'embrayage aussi. Est ce qu'il faut remettre des pieces SACHS comme d'origine ? Merci

The gasket is not burnt. The circulation is working properly. The thermostat is working properly. It does not reduce water. The heater is working properly, but even if the car cools down, the pressure in the hoses does not decrease. What is the reason? Thank you

Is that kind of brake bleeder great? I ordered it from you because I couldn't get it anywhere else and it was 3 times cheaper than anywhere else...I was wondering if that includes putting fluid in that pressure tank? I didn't. I set the pressure to 1-1.5 bar.

That starter is tired AF. Talking from experience. Brushes are gone. After recon, the car was starting with 55 Ah battery after 4 days of rest.

Nice car I use to have one only problem was huge fuel consumption,never under 8l
