It's good to show one's are not perfect all the time. We are humans, and showing that we all make misstakes sometimes is very good. I've done the same misstake.
I am an Alfa Romeo fan from 1968 when i was 12 years on ! I falled in love with 1300 junior. From then my first alfa was the 33 quadrifoglio verde 1490 cc 105 hp with 2 two barrels delortos . Following with 155 1.8 twinspark 1992 and 156 in 2003 , now at 68 i keep my 156 until god separates us. Greetings from Greece.
Obrigado Bruno! Great video! I always loved the sound of Alfa Boxer. My first Alfa was a 1.7 IE (8 valves version, 1992), and that car made me fall in love with Alfa. After it, I had a 146 ti (1996), a 156 TS Selespeed (1999).... and yet another 156 JTS Selespeed (2003) which I still have today and runs great!
They made boxer engines since the early seventies till the nineties. Their design had a crankshaft with only 3 main journals, which meant they were a bit limited with respect to engine capacity and power. They made 1300, 1500 and 1700 versions, the latter with two variants, 8 valve and 16 valve, top of the line delivering some 140 HP. It's a pity they dropped this concept, they were fantastic for the time.
They were very good engines and with a lot to give. Fiat discontinued the engine on acquisition for the twin Spark. Many engines were modified by owners with turbo or supercharger
Thank you once again for all the knowledge that you share! I have learned many useful things for my 33. I am going to use all that! ❤ Can you take out the radiator without removing the bonnet?
Where do you place the jack stands when you want to lift the rear of the 159 saloon? I wanted to lift both rear wheels off the ground today, but was unable to find a suitable jack stand point on the car. There are the subframe bolts, but these points are way to high up. There are the stabilizer bar mounts (where the buahibg are), but not sure how strong they are. Plus I wanted to check the stabilizer/sway bar links, so I didn't want to put the stands there. Although, maybe it wouldn't matter?
Hello. I use the plastic mounts area, here in Portugal we have no corrosion so it's not any issue. Actually, to lift the entire back end I just go all the way on the jack one just one side and both wheels came of the ground
@alfaromeonoproblem You mean those plastic jacking points, behind the sill? I only have one rubber in that shape, that I made, and use it to jack the car. But then I have no place to out the stands. My jack does not lift very high either.
@alfaromeonoproblem But I use then to lift the car with a jack, I can't put a stand on them at the same time. Plus I would need another rubber block... :(
you deserve more likes my guy. if you guys are seeing this don't forget to like Brunos videos please!
Thank you very much the support

@DashCamSerbia yes, the square ones. They are excellent jack points on these cars.

@DashCamSerbia I see, try on the subframe bolts
