NEW NAVY SEAL GUN SLINGER BURPEE (KETTLEBELL COMPLEX) #kettlebell #burpees #fitness
The navy seal burpee with the kettlebell “gunslinger” move done for 60sec with 30s rest, then skip for 60 and back to the complex again.
Love the kettlebell swing but the gunslinger seems to activate the back even more and works brilliantly with the navy seal burpee.
Go for 12-16 rounds or more if time permits.
Great for conditioning and getting some quality movement in.

Just got mine a few weeks ago. Best shoe I’ve ever had by far. Not cheap, but they are the best IMO. Love them!
Another great Video. Looks like a tough session this. Smashing it
Cheers Tom - hope all’s good with Bath rugby 🏉! (Will have to steal a few of your training plans !)
Must try this one. Your videos are fantastic for all round training motivation
Thanks - give it a go… more coming ! Appreciate the comment
What a session! I need to be banging out sessions like this James I think it would really help. 💪😎🤘
Cheers Ben, yup - try it out - it’s a good one… hope all is well your end.
That looks a tough one James, nice to see little Rufus chilling in the background, hope he is getting on well.
Thanks Innes .. yes, it is good to see the old dog still getting himself into shot!
Nice work James. I have not progressed to double KB exercises yet. I’m still practicing the basics, clean and press, TGU etc I have recently introduced KB shin box extensions to my routines in an attempt to fix my tight hips / weak glutes. Great stuff as usual 👍
Ah, just found out what the shin box extensions are - look pretty brutal but very effective! Loving the feel of the double kettlebells - for me it really helps to make sure I engage my glutes fully - and generate power. Sounds like your KB journey is going well… thanks for the comment.
I just thought that would be a lot lighter, but with the react Phone, which is kind of heavy, I guess that’s normal
What kind of split do you do or do you do full body training? And how often per week?
So it depends but generally yes, full body splits but I do emphasise on on upper or lower each time - lots of kettlebell work too. I train 6/7 times a week but again, some are easy and some very hard … I will do a proper video soon as a few people have asked. How about yourself?
Thank you for your answer. That sounds really good! I'm trying to get a structured routine again. Not easy with two kids. My current plan is three full-body workouts (kettlebell and calisthenics) and on the days in between sprints and trail running. What do you think of the structure?
@steffenfelix8639 that sounds great … I would say to make sure you throw in some super easy sessions - like rucking or something . Do you have anything / goal in mind ?
@@movemorenowjames You mean rucking instead of a sprint? Sounds plausible! My goal is to stay strong for my children/family. Building muscle is a nice side effect 😌 Your channel always gives me a lot of inspiration! 💪
@steffenfelix8639 thanks! Good to hear and also, great goals… no I mean still keep the sprints but also add a few easy sessions … just works different energy systems and also helps with overall recovery
Late to the party here. I’m in my 60s and not a runner but have recently started suffering badly with PF. I think you’re right, shoes make a helluva difference. All the old advice just wasn’t working so I switched to an old pair of zero drop Merrell’si had in the wardrobe and immediately found some relief. Doing some research, it seems most advice from physios is at least 30-40 years old! And the one study that is more up to date had 14 “experts” and 40 study patients, not many considering the size of the UK population! Anyway, I found and American podiatrist on TH-cam who’s advice is contrary to everyone else but it works! The towel gripping exercise, getting rid of narrow shoes, etc, etc, and strengthening the foot seems to be the key. This doesn’t happen with regular shoes and trainers which actively encourage heel strike. Going to zero drop I’ve noticed I walk entirely differently because heel strike without the padding is incredibly painful! Anyway, I decided to that although I’d like to progress to barefoot shoes eventually at the moment I need some cushioning so I got a pair of Altra Provision 6s. Wow, they are incredible- zero drop with some shock absorption, what could be better? But I’m now convinced strengthening the feet, ankles and legs is the key to getting rid of plantar fasciitis, not just getting “well padded, supportive shoes” as this doesn’t allow for good circulation, which seems, by many accounts, to be incredibly important.
How often do you train calisthenics during a week?
@@iMurk it’s almost daily but it’s mixed in with running and heavy weights too but generally there will be some body weight movement daily (could be 15 mins or 60)
Loving the content. I wear Vivos for everything apart from running it's Altras. I do bars and rings with Kettlebells in my garden, and the main reason for the following is that I also have a little BT 😃
Ah, I’m guessing BT is border terrier !
We have negative heels in college 50 years ago. They had very wide toe boxes. They were called Earth Shoes. Weird to walk in, but then Earth sold its name or changed its shoes I don’t know.
Sounds pretty cool, thanks… will try to check them out !
Yes I love them because of the toebox, the zoomx, how well they run even on the road, and how dirty they get! Got 600km on my first pair, and second pair ready to go! Protip: wait for a Nike discount code to buy these
Thanks for the tip and yes, great shoe!
Nice! I was wondering how long your foot is in cm and which size you use in the Lone Peak? Which size would you use in the Altra Mountain King? Altra is remaking the shoe 😊
So I am 28cm and go for a size uk 10 in the LP
I can’t remember (and not currently home) what size I went for in the king mT - think 10.5 though as they are quite a snug fit
@@movemorenowjames is it the wide version?
You're a beast for talking while doing the cleans and lunges btw.
Thanks… it’s tough one but love it
Timp 5 silhouette for the timp fan, no holes, boa, check it out
They looks great! 👍 thx
Great workout! Is there any advantage doing kettlebells etc in barefoot trainers over Altra's or even regular trainers?
With barefoot style shoes there’s definitely a lot more ground feed back and better stability for sure , the altras are good as zero and wide - I would nt recommend “normal” trainers as just a little too bulky and uneven … if possible, no shoes on firm grass feels the best - personally
Good stuff :)
Thanks!
Great workout 👍 the KB clean to rear lunge really gets my HR up 🥵 thanks for posting.
Love it too… great move - thanks 🙏
I ran 100km race in Nike ultraflys and ruined my feet. Put them in the bin
Sorry to hear that … I guess they clearly aren’t for everyone- I used them for my last ultra - they felt ok 👌 (that said, I have gone completely different direction over the last months - more minimal)

Word just got out they are going to sell these again.
Heard the news too….. interesting stuff - it’s a good one ! Thx
Looking forward to seeing the new direction fir the channel. I"m in my mid 40's and after years of CV exercise only, i have recently discovered the versatility and benefits of kettlebell training. 💪🏻
Thanks. Lots more coming … will be posting a few whilst on holiday (took car so snuck in a kettle bell!)

Great channel...ironically I am doing moving away from solely running to a more 'complete' fitness regime, KB's, body weight, skipping. Plant based warrior. Keep up the good work. I hope that your dog improves,. Big BT fan.

Hi mate, quality review. Thanks for it. I am looking for some trail boots and Nike Kiger 9 is also on the list. What about running in the mud? Do they slip or not?
Hi. Thanks. The grip is considerably better but that said - in mud, still not brilliant but then not many shoes are. It’s definitely a great trail shoe though ..
Just received mine an hour ago. Got 9's because my other Altra's are 9's. They are tight. If I'd seen this first I would have gone up half a size. If I take the insole out they feel better so maybe a thinner insole? People with wider feet buy Altra's so why do this? So thanks for the good review.
It’s a shame - they aren’t for wide feet !! Yes, taking the insole out works but as you said, we shouldn’t have to!
Hi! Can you recommend me the size ? I'm 27.3cm for each foot. Should i take 10 or 10.5 ? Thanks
Sorry for the really late response… so I am 28 cm and have gone for the uk 10.5 - I would go for the 10.5
I know this is an old video, but isn`t it 6X pro OR 6X sapphire? You can`t get a 6X pro sapphire combined
@@zin.nesis1 thanks; I must have somehow got bogged down with too many names !

What kind of shoes do you use for everyday life?
So, luckily I can wear trainers most days - so a mix of altra and vivo barefoot but also big fan of Birkenstocks ! … I also have some wide feeling desert boots / chukka boots
@@movemorenowjames Thank you for your respond! I have a tear on my plantar fascia. Do you know anyone who use these kind of shoes after a tear to build strength? Maybe not in the acute phase but later.
@@carinamagdalena4961 would love to say I do but sorry… can’t help much here. Hope the recovery goes well. There might some info on vivobarefoot website about injuries etc

True to size .
Interesting, sounds good. I got the Wildhorse 8 but find it very brick-like. Curiously it also doesn' t have a toe-bumper where this lighter and more nimble one does. Maybe I should try this one.
