I'm probably in the minority here, but I replay single player games like a quadrillion times with zero incentive and it doesn't get the slightest bit worse. In fact, sometimes It blows my mind, like in Dark Souls when I only found out about the existence of Ash Lake behind 2 illusory walls in a row on my 4th playthrough. That game shattered my mind so thoroughly that I ended up beating it literally 14 times and it's the only game that I will forever remember the exact amount of times that I beat it. The only thing stopping me from replaying the games I love even more is just when life happens. I know people experience everything in their own individual way, but I personally never really understood all the fuss that people make about replayability, like, I always questioned if people really like a game if they don't replay it often (while having the time and resources to do so). I don't know if it's some sort of neurodivergence, but if I love something, wether it's videogames or not, I want to constantly re-experience it until the day I return to dust.

You're completely right, and here's why: I, a person who grew up playing *ZERO* Sonic games, got into the series as an adult in my late 20's for the first time, and I liked Adventure 1 better than 2. Almost significantly better. And guess what? I LOVED the Big campaign, it was chill and atmospheric asf, a very nice break from all the action of the other campaigns. Gamma's story hit me much harder than anything in SA2, made my unc eyes tear up. I thought the controls and physics were better in SA1, and that SA2 was the prototype to Sonic Heroes' godawaful controls/physics. I liked the music better, I liked the bosses, it's just flat out the better game. That's it, that's all I gotta say.

I agree with the list for the most part. I'd put 08 dead last personally, so switch it with 09 and I'd put the first svr game below 11 and 10.

I personally had more fun with SA1 levels, SA2 is fine when you get good at it, and mech stages or the treassure hunting is not bad, mech is just get big combos.

While i knew of the series before, it's kinda hard to escape if you grew up in the 00's, THUG PRO was my first full introduction to the series, which eventually drove me to play the actual singleplayer campaigns. Games where the traversal of the environment is the main mechanic are really rare.

My problem in SA2 is how you have to hold the B button to spin dash rather in SA1 you can just tap the button and it will charge instantly

the only thing i have a problem with is that spine transfer and manual spin is the same button. it kind of bothers me since it can mess up my combos. if anybody haas a fix for this please let me know.

Saying thug 2 and thaw are too silly is dumb. All the games are silly. Project 8 and EA Skate are what killed Tony Hawk games

I remember 6-7 years ago I randomly found Thug Pro and tried to play it, but I quickly abandoned it again because of the input and resolution issues you mentioned in this video. I haven't touched it ever since. Just randomly found this video and your recommendation of Rethawed got me intrigued! I think it's finally time for me to revisit Tony Hawk! Tony Hawks died after 4. I stop playing the series after Tony Hawks 4... I hate the underground series and all games after that. To cartoony and to many bugs, bad optimization, comical graphics and pysics. Like many people I prefer the classic games. This games are product from that time, and they also change the series to much after 4, and people overall didnt like it. But the main problem is the same as the other sports games, like fifas, nbas, and so on. Minor improvements and same gameplay over and over again... And because all of that, people lost interess. The first games are well grounded on reality and fell like skating simulator, after 4, the games are more arcady.

Finally someone said it, I found adventure 2 so disappointing compared to 1. Literally only a 1/3 of the game is even replayable/good. I can replay adventure 1 over and over.

Control scheme and graphics for THAW was the best, but the story and levels were lacking. Plus the false advertising of "no load times", which was actually achieved by THP8 despite all of its other short comings.

I really wish they wouldve done with they did with rethawed to thugpro instead, i fear this will split the community in the future, and its already pretty small. either way looks interesting, will stay on thugpro for now but this video has me tempted to look into rethawed. thanks for the video!

The definitive THPS experience was playing online before 2005 and I'm sorry to say that no amount of mods are going to replicate it.

Tony Hawk's Underground is Goated 🐐! Even its out of bounds areas are legendary!

I’m currently 140 emblems in SA2, and I gotta say… This game is so trash, I would have a better time S ranking all stages in Sonic 06. Sonics movement feels like he’s tripping, going to a complete stop. Unlike the free flow in SA. Treasure hunt stages are so annoying with the puzzle mechanic. But I’m actually quite ok with that one stage with 3 planets. Mech stages is bad in every way. Limited movements, forced to combo everything. Even tho it doesn’t have a reverse timer, you still have to rush even more. Only good thing about SA2 over SA is the music from Cosmic Wall

Lol ngl you can play the entire series on PC using PCSX2 to emulate a PS2. I do this on my macbook all the time
