It is in the description: HOW DO I CHANGE THE COLOUR SCHEME? Included in the download is a folder called Mustermann Iconic Alt Files. Inside here are the alternative colour schemes supplied. Simply choose a scheme you want and copy the file into the Mustermann Iconic/settings folder. Once done, delete the file “Mustermann Iconic settings” and rename the copied file to “Mustermann Iconic settings”. Inside FM, reload the skin, turning off caching. If you want to set your own Colour Scheme, you will want to edit lines 214-241 inside the aforementioned file, using a text editor such as Notepad. Colours are defined as RGB values.

Bayern are unlikely to ever be a contender for one of these videos, I'm afraid. Not really much challenge with a team who has won the league 15 times in the last 20 years!

Schlotterbeck is such a quality player. Freiburg have had a great history of bringing through some excellent players, too. Stretching all the way back to the Finke era. Such an interesting team.

By and large, there's not really much "challenge" when you take over a team who it is possible to win the league with without transfers. So someone like Barcelona/Liverpool/Inter/etc... is very unlikely.

It's literally covered from 00:40 onwards. You download a compressed file. You need to extract from that compressed file using the archiver of your choice. For most that will be WinZip or WinRar.

Yes, player instructions make a difference. Both positive and negative. It's about complimenting what you're trying to do overall. By and large, there are certain instructions which can be very effective, and often crop up in the "meta". In a world of needing to provide the "Best" or "Ultimate" tactic, it is not uncommon for these to become commonplace. Subsequently, a lot of these tactics will play our quite similarly. That is the nature of video games. There will always be certain combinations that are more effective than others. That's not the purpose of my channel, however. In this series, the ethos is to provide very basic, foundational tactics. Things which can serve as a starting point and be built upon. Sometimes that might include one or two player instructions. Other times, like here, none are necessary. That said, on Patreon you get access to a Director's Cut version of videos. For this episode, this included playing the next game on full highlights and going through the process of building upon that tactic. Observing the good and bad, and using that to inform tweaks. That resulted in some changes (3 players given a Player Instruction each, a change of position, one Team Instruction change)

You have a unique channel which is what i prefer here for sure. So i appreciate the fact you do it as a basis to learn about building upon the basics. Be wary - whilst I usually have Get Stuck In on, that does mean that the opposition get more set pieces. And we know how effective set pieces are in the game!

The colour scheme itself hasn't been tested widely. Whilst it works on the squad screen, I haven't checked contrast throughout and probably won't be any time in the near future. In fact, it's already been changed for the next video. There are instructions in the FAQs wherever you download the skin for changing the colour theme yourself. Just look up the RGB colours for Roma.

You won't get any performance data until you play competitive matches. I recommend keeping a save point before each season ticks over to the next so you can go back and check past players, too, as data doesn't get carreid over.

As mentioned in the description: CLARIFICATIONS The squad view in the skin in this video is not part of the public release. This is because it causes a number of issues elsewhere - including, but not limited to, being unable to see players out on loan or international squads. It involves turning the team squad page into a training page, and then specifically defining the columns in the view. And it's very buggy.

And that is what it is in the spreadsheet. And for any other metric where a lower number is better.

@@mustermannfm yeah, I get that and I think that one is important for defenders and midfielders especially maybe I didn't understand your thought process or I didn't explain mine properly (also, English is not my first language). So, when you were talking about requirements for your strikers, you said that you wanted to look at Pressures attempted due to playing a counter press game. Isn't it then better to look just at Possession won instead of the differential? As, from what I gathered, the striker who has 15 in Possession won and 13 in Possession lost would be listed as worse then the one that has 5 in Possession won and 2 in Possession lost, even though he is obviously better at doing what you want him to do then the other one.

@@tp2436 I don't compare on possession differential for strikers. You can see in the spreadsheet formula which metrics were focussed on. Possession Won is not a useful metric for pressing forwards either. Even if a pressure is successful, it is relatively unlikely that the forward is the one who then secures possession. There is very little variance in pressure success rate (usually around 33% across all positions), so whether you focus on pressures attempted or pressures suceeded doesn't really matter. I prioritise pressures attempted because this is the larger number, and therefore difference between activity is more noticeable. E.g (10 pressures attempted vs 9 pressures attempted is much easier to see the difference between players, than 3.33 vs 3.00 successful pressures).

The bigger the slice, the better a player is. In metrics where "better" would mean doing less of something (possession lost, goals conceded, etc...) the bigger the slice, the fewer times they do it.

@@gordo179 no, because it depends on the team and the tactic. What you want from a ball playing defender in one system might be different to what you want in another system. It might even be different in the same team and system just separated by time, based on the abilities of teammates. If you want to use a statistic-based approach effectively, then you should view it holistically. What do I want from the player in possession? What do I want from the player out of possession? What areas are the team already strong in? What areas are the team currently weak in?

@@mustermannfm thanks for taking the time to reply. How do we learn what we want out of players for eg. If we want to emulate the very popular 3 box 3 in possession? Also, how do you cope with wonderkids you signed who are club-grown but not performing statistically? My eg is mathys tel. His attributes are good and his Moneyball stats are actually ok but his goals scored and assists are not great.

@@gordo179 Well answer those questions. If, for example, you want a player in a certain role to carry the ball and beat players. Then you want to look at dribbles per 90. Just follow the path logically. If a player isn't performing, then they are sold. If you need to keep some around for homegrown quotas, ask yourself if they're poor performance warrants them taking the place ahead of a youngster who could be given the chance.
