MUSTERMANNFM
A veteran of the FM series, going all the way back to Championship Manager Italia in 1993 (yes, I'm old). Creator of the Mustermann skins (links below) and recently started creating TH-cam content. Awful sense of humour.
MONEYBALL CLINIC
A team guide series, using a statistic-led approach to squad assessment, tactic building and recruitment.
METHODOLOGY
I performed 10 full detail simulations of the Top 30 leagues to create a single database to give me insight into player and team performances under the current Match Engine. Set up in real world mode, with the first transfer window disabled. Teams were able to make transfers in January, allowing us to get a sense of what the AI considers each team's areas of weakness.
All player statistics were exported for players in active leagues who played over 900 minutes, aggregated and then standardised to per 90 metrics. All players will come from this pool.
No editor files were used as part of this process, ensuring that the guide provided is applicable to the vanilla game.

I didn't realise beforehand how slim the pickings are for Italian players who are both affordable and perform well. Add in a cautious mentality tactic, and we might be in for an absolute hiding!
Wow, this looks very cool! This will be a total FM24 masterpiece for Moneyball (and of course for you). Unfortunately not able to follow live on Twitch, but I will be following on youtube.
I have also done this exact same thing, but I messed up a bit. For one, as you are aware, you will start with terrible team cohesion in CAC. I also forgot about adressing what languages the players spoke. To compensate for the lack of team cohesion and a common language I improved team cohesion with the editor. After it was too late, I realized this maximized cohesion, so I won the league with the worst squad in the division. Another issue entirely I am very curious about how you have experienced is the Agreed Playing Time assigned to your players. In my experience too many players are assigned too much playing time by CAC. What is your experience, and/or have it been manageable for you? Really looking forward to the stream! :D
My experience is non-existent. Or, that is to say, it will start on Monday 😂
I did notice the playing time, which I believe is a reflection of the player's playing time at their previous club. I'm planning on adjusting it in increments until it is appropriate. E.g. drop it a notch every month or so. If that causes players to kick off, then so be it. Nothing wrong with a little of adversity to force us to make changes come January!
Excited to see how Barberis does, I had him way back in an FM14 Serie A save and he was pure class as a DLP.

Even myself. I am very much an asynchronous kind of fella. Having worked many years in shift work, the idea of having a schedule that allows me to watch something at the same time every week is kind of alien to me! I don't have shifts anymore, but those habits of having to catch up after the event are now ingrained!!

In terms of squad cohesion, it's about being mindful that assembling a whole squad means there are no existing relationships. Kinda. We have quite a few players who have played together at other clubs. Ultimately, when putting together the players, I have no idea how they're going to fit into social groups. Because the club doesn't exist until it's all done, there are no scout reports that can indicate how someone will fit in, and so ensuring there is some common ground just helps to smooth things over during the first few months...hopefully.

I have quite a big one in the works, revolving around the idea of developing your own tactical philosophy, and how to refine from watching what happens in-game. It might be put on hold until FM25, though!
I just started a create a club moneyball like this 3 days ago. Team based in Vianden, Luxembourg playing in the regionliga in germany similar to fc andorra in spain 2nd season just got promoted to the 3. liga

@@mustermannfm he was sh*t at galatasaray then had a loan move and tore his achilles tendon there. still not able to play irl i believe
@@zephyr6777 from what I can tell, he moved permanently to Ankaragücü, and tore his tendon at the end of the season. Then moved back to Pisa on loan over the summer despite not being likely to return to playing until 2025. Which is weird!
