Absolutely love seeing the godfather of FM Moneyball do a complete breakdown, as well as little back story, on a manager's style of play! I am convinced there is nothing you can't do my man. Love the graphic breakdowns so much as well! Keep it up Mustermann, the community needs more content like this!
Loved these new types of videos. Consistently get excited seeing your videos pop up. Hope there is something in your life giving you as much joy. Thanks and happy holidays (if you celebrate)
Having done Chelsea for Moneyball Clinic, then getting them for Match of the Delay, and covering them a bit during the Tuchel video - it's probably not likely there'll be much Chelsea based content for a while (just want to be realistic with expectations)
Going to immediately holiday test with Rochdale and then cry in the comments that it ''doesnt work'' when Ian Henderson only scores 5 goals and I finish 8th.
Looking at your tactics and the way you seem to play the game, I think you'd crush a Lopetegui tactic/video. Shame he isn't doing so well right now which makes it unlikely! Great video as per, I hadn't heard of this guy before and now I'm downloading his tactics and diving into research!
See...it's what I said on stream yesterday...I don't do it deliberately. It's just part of my vocabulary. I wish I was witty/fast thinking enough for it to be on purpose!
Hey Mustermann, first of all I want to say thanks for the skin and all your hard work! I am a big fan. I have a question though. When I play, I am trying to create a 2-3-4-1 shape regardless of the actual formation. Right now, I use a 4-3-3 and create the midfield 3 with a DM on DLP, a CM on CAR and a LB on IWB. However I am not the smartest when it come to roles and stats, so I am not really sure which stats I am looking for, as for example the LB on IWB kind of splits time between being a LB when defending and a DM while attacking. Could you maybe make a video on which stats you are looking at for each role? Or maybe a little broader, which stats you look at for the back 2, the mid 3, the front 4 and the striker? Again, thanks a lot for the hard work!
The same answer as mentioned in other videos. There isn't an answer by role. What I look for in a Ball Playing Defender in one tactic will be different to what I look for in a Ball Playing Defender in another tactic. Instead, in every Moneyball Clinic video that's why I talk about which specific metrics I'm looking for in relation to that team/tactic.
Tiki-Taka is the must tactic for my every Football Manager Save 😊 i am still living in fm21 until now the main reason is variety of tiki taka plays and goals, cant stand with Match Engine of Fm24 😅
As frustrating as the ME can be once you've had a full year of it, I must confess I'm still enjoying it. You can have success in a variety of ways, even if some take a little more work than others.
Very interesting tactic, I'd love to see your Pep Guardiola recreation if you ever go for it, obviously City are not doing so great at the moment but still 😆
Pep's a tricky one. He's been covered wonderfully and in a lot of detail by other creators, and I'm not sure there's much more that can be added to the discussion. Unless we see some major changes in the upcoming weeks.
I do like these tactic videos. If it's possible I'd like you to show what you think the managers stats should be, for example, Carrion has 9 for defensive line. I'd like to edit it, to what you think is should be.
As someone who removes all staff attributes, you might be unsurprised to learn I definitely don't look at the hidden ones. That would make it very difficult for me to give any accurate insight in this matter. Sorry.
When you set squad pressing at maximum intensity, will you go to some of the singles instructions to adjust to a lower pressing frequency? In this instance, high defensive line, I’d tell my central defenders to press less, the regista and wing backs stay on balanced, the other front five on high press. We are compact and high, so we should press in front of us.
No, all the player instructions were covered in the video. Like Las Palmas, the commitment is to engaging high throughout the team and reducing opportunities for the opposition to settle.
Vertical scrolling. Can't remember the exact height and zoom (I change from video to video to get as zoomed in as possible whilst also trying to get the action in frame (and I didn't do that well). For actually playing, I use lowest height/maximum zoom as I find this more interesting for highlights, and I don't necessarily need to see as much.
Hello @MustermannFM love this video and break down! Could you maybe do this with Henrik Rydstroms Malmo FF, He have been playing with some idea from Diniz tactial approch but tweaked it little bit. Today Malmo FF playing 3 diffrent ways and it would be awesome if you can try to make something like his tactics. Today he uses 4-2-3-1 , 4-4-2 and 3-4-2-1 plz !
Have you watched RDF's video: th-cam.com/video/a8RfpI_EN6c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oziRXZQo33Un0lc- I appreciate it focuses mainly on the 4-2-3-1 shape, but I think he does a very good job of getting close to the system within FM. As achieved with the tactic in this video, it is possible to get situational overloads out wide, but getting it consistently as part of the core identity of a tactic is very difficult with some of the restrictions in game. And as RDF has done, that often requires an asymetrical system which often means you can only really tilt on one side (or have to switch between multiple setups during the course of the game). I'll check and see if there is anything else I can add to the discussion, but I'm a firm believer that if someone has already covered the subject well, it is better to promote/link that work, that just regurgitate the same information.
Relationism is a relatively new phrase, so in an academic sense, no - but many of the principles can be caught in the classic Inverting the Pyramid, given it covers quite a lot there. Otherwise check out the articles of Jamie Hamilton.
Great video as always but Pimienta is doing so bad at Sevilla now. Pretty sure he's tweaked his tactics a bit becasue the team has no ballers in midfield.
5 red cards in 15 games has been shocking, but Sevilla currently being 13th when they finished 14th and 12th the last two seasons is pretty reasonable. Especially when they're clearly a team in transition with the moves made over the summer.
Its quite funny that the final position in the simulation its almost the same position they were during the first the half of the season irl, then in the second half well, they were the third worst team
I took Las Palmas' badge and used a colour picker to identify the RGB values. If you RGB values you found for Leeds are coming up more gold than you like, you might want to try different RGB values.
Honestly, it's unlikely. There are a lot of great videos out there on Klopp's tactics over the years. I doubt that I'll be able to offer anything new to the discussion
Carrileros and mezzalas aren't wide players. They are players who drift wide. Notably WHEN the play moves wide. By playing narrow and focusing through the middle, most progression will be central, but when it does go wide, they will get closer to the wide players. As seen in both the real life highlights and FM highlights.
@@mustermannfm And won't there be problems with the wing-back, who tactically play as wide as possible, won't they be torn away from other players during the attack? Сорри, английский не лучшая моя сторона
@@nonipon9580 this is vital. A basic principle of football. You want to maintain width to stretch the opposition defence (opposition full backs can't tuck in because they need to make sure our players in wide positions aren't completely unmarked). The wing backs holding that width gives the wingers freedom to drift inside.
RDF is amazing. There's no point in copying what he's doing, because he's already done it so well!! Plus, you know me by now - I like to look at those things that don't necessarily get the same attention. Ideas over results.
@@mustermannfm You guys are so different from each other, RDF always make space-hungry tactics, you always make ball-hungry tactics It’s like seeing IRL managers for me 😂

what a great, well informed video 🙌 echoing the sentiments that I would totally watch an ongoing series on this
Much much appreciated, dude. Always keen to make sure that if I do this kind of content it's focussing on something different to the mainstream.
I fully agree
Me too it seems to do well on other channels. Keep up the good work
Petition for Mustermann to have a Netflix Series about Football Manager.
Netflix really should have a Football Manager series, given they have that exclusivity deal!

Excellent insight. I'll try this system myself, see how it goes.
Hope it goes well. As discussed, it's important to find teams that suit the approach!
Another epic video!

Pimiento is ‘pepper’ in Spanish
So basically Las Palmas is coached by Pepper Man 😂
The equivalent of Garcia in English is "Gerry" - I'd originally titled the timeline bit as "The Life of Gerry Pepper".
Going to immediately holiday test with Rochdale and then cry in the comments that it ''doesnt work'' when Ian Henderson only scores 5 goals and I finish 8th.
They have a former Man City academy player in their team, so they should be able to do anything!
