      That’s a very tough question to answer, only because I’m not an expert with every manufacturer. BUT I can say from what I’ve experience, researched, and seen first hand, it has to be Toyota. Which is wild because I don’t even like Toyotas. But Toyota has gone downhill significantly in the past few years, which is why I’m doing a video on them soon. My personal favorite brand is BMW or anything German. I say that purely based on how they drive and the fact that BMWs aren’t as bad as everyone says. It took me owning one for me to realize that. You think EV’s are less maintenance? I can’t say for sure because I’ve never owned one but from friends and people I’ve seen online, the maintenance is slightly less but you still pay for other things that almost makes it about the same in ownership costs. I went to work for GM Engineering in early sixties thru GMI in Warren. Alas GM was bad then and has never got any better. GM was the brainchild of wall street whiz Durant and was formed to gain a monopoly and price advantage in the US vehicle market. Since the thirties GM upper managers always took care of the Wall Street Shareholder investors over customers and employees. They had an advantageous lock on the blue book values for all their Chevrolet variants of Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac Products. The products used the GM parts bin with the slight differences being in the body trim and motors and that motor fact had really disappeared by the late seventies and they were getting sued for Chevy engines in the other branded Chev/Pontiac, Chev/Oldsmobile, Chev/Buick and Chev/Cadillac in the eighties. Much Ballyhoo is made about the Corvette but the early model had to use Ford sourced steering and Shocks. It was pretty obvious that gm was down when the first Buick La Crosse was a rebadged discontinued Taurus and the last front drive minivans from Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, & Buick were rebadged discontinued Ford Windstar Vans. Since 2009 you failed mention that the company and their investors screwed the Taxpayers of the US, UK(Vauxhall), Germany(Opel) and Australia(Holden) and that Chinese Investors in Shanghai China had really taken control of the bankrupt post '09 gm. Also That The Latest shared Chevrolet, CHEV/GMC, and Chev/Cadillac big SUVs are an almost Carbon copy of the Ford Expedition with an ancient late seventies Australian Holden developed Chev G8 push rod V8 they label the LS. You missed a whole BUNCH of problems. I could ramble on and on writing a big whole Book on 100 years of GM failures.

      @@A-BombEnergy I'm excited you replied, thank you. I'm going back and watching all your videos. The quality is A1. I had a M340i back in 2020 and I loved it. Unfortunately it developed a oil leak early on and BMW Lemon lawed it. I'm still considering picking up a M440i GC. I absolutely love the i7. I ironically didn't buy it to save gas, I bought it because it has a lower center of gravity, the quiet powertrain is as close to RR as you can get and it has a hefty feel with the added weight. I know that's the opposite of what a BMW is however I drive approximately 300 miles a day. The i7 is a treat to cruise in. The down side is our charging infrastructure. Electry America is always broken or far and inbetween, it's extremely difficult to find DC fast charging and it's made this whole experience unbearable. And the charging infrastructure is joke and I am sorry you are having to put up with it. My friend has a Mach E and sometimes I catch him sleeping in his car while charging because he can't get home. @@A-BombEnergy The honor and pleasure is mine. The issue was isolated to approximately 1,000 units thankfully. I've had a few 40i models since (740i, X6 xDrive 40i, and a 840i xDrive GC) and they were flawless past 50,000 miles. I take care of my grandmother (Cook, Administer Her Medicine) daily and I don't live in the same city. I don't want someone from the outside to do it when I can. At least ill know everything is done right and she trust me. She's 98. I don't get range anxiety in the traditional sense. Mine comes in if i'm home and forget to charge. I have a fear of needing to abruptly leave from a earthquake or rushing to the hospital and having a low charge. Driving, i'm fine. In the beginning, I always had to have 100% charge because it's free. Now I fill up at 10%. The charging infrastructure is the main reason i'm giving up electric. Aside from the notorious Electrify America issues, i've run into people who cut the line, will unplug your car or cancel your charge if you're at a certain level, I had a woman key my car because I wouldn't stop charging so she could. I never seen a group of adults act a certain way over 30 minutes of free charging. It's not worth it to me. You do the same, hit me up anytime, about anything. Honor to have you as a friend. A few weeks ago I went into my local Ford dealership to test drive a hybrid Maverick I had my eyes on for a while. Didn't like their suggest APR online, but I wanted to see what they drove like, and do some "what if" paperwork. Test drive went great, sales staff was very kind, but the issue was the price, and there was NO negotiating, even on used. Their lot was beyond overflowing, I mean they made a maze of cars, because no one was selling anything. For 4 hours I was the only person on the lot. There were crickets, man. The guy prints out some papers and starts talking to me about pricing, and I see this "dealer" charge of $1,695 just sitting there as "delivery fee." So I asked him what that was and he said "Oh, that's what Ford charges to ship their cars from the plant to the dealership." I was shocked. Ford charges the dealerships, who are literal Ford dealerships, almost 2 grand to just have the cars shipped to them, and then try to pawn that off on the consumer as a "delivery fee"? I said I wanted that dropped, or the conversation was over, and he said Ford doesn't allow them to remove it, it's stuck there. Ridiculous, man. And don't even get me started on the extra $600 charge if I bought the car for Ford's "security" system, that the dealer uses if their cars get stolen, that YOU (the consumer) don't get to use! It's only for them if someone steals the car off their lot! It's deactivated once you buy the car, yet you still have to pay for it! I couldn't believe all the extra garbage and trash they were trying to sell. No wonder their lot was overflowing.

      You liked the hybrid Maverick? Not saying thats crazy at all btw, I drove one for a week with the military and I did not like it at all. The constant turning the motor on and off and brake assist thing made me nauseous. How much were they wanting for the pick up truck? I'm kind of shocked they wouldn't negotiate on it. Did they give you a reason? It sounds like you had a typical dealership experience and I am sorry that you had to deal with that and wasted your time. The fact that they were trying to charge you 1695 in a fee that isn't your fault nor should you have to pay is ridiculous. Every dealership seems to be doing this now and if they keep this practice up, they are going to seal their own fate. I had a BMW dealership, tried to charge me around the same price because they put new tires on the car. I told them to put the tires on and I'll get my own tires. Needless to say, they dropped all the ridiculous fees. It sounds like you need to find a new dealership or try to find one from a small town dealership. I have been looking at Facebook marketplace and that seems to be a decent place to buy cars. I have had subscribers tell me that it worked out really well for them too. Maybe that's the future of car purchasing. Or online purchases. If you need any help finding a vehicle, you can hit me up on Instagram. I can take a look online for you if you want. I know the process is really frustrating. Thanks for commenting my friend and I hope you have a great upcoming weekend. -Brandon

      @@A-BombEnergy So my story actually has a pretty happy ending. After I left the dealership and went home, my wife and I were like "someone's gotta have a used one somewhere." So we looked all over our state at dealerships and found a 2023 Maverick XL with 17k miles on it. Single owner, clean carfax, no issues at all. Seems like we got really lucky. Took it for a test drive the next day, and much to our surprise, they were all about negotiating. Their dealership's slogan was something like "3000 below the competition guaranteed!" so after we told them about our experience at Ford, it gave us some wiggle room. Helped that I took a picture of the paperwork Ford brought me too. That's another thing, the guy said we couldn't take the paper work or they charged him $50 per page? No idea if that's true, but at this point, I sort of believe it. Anyhow, we ended up signing and getting a 6.49 APR (wife has immaculate credit lol) and driving it home next day. 24k. Oh, it also has the tow package included. I know the hybrid can only tow about 2,000 lbs, but for our house and yard projects, it's perfect for us. To your points though, the brake assist thing was nuts, I actually found out there was a button to turn it off right by the traction control buttons, so I instantly turned it off. The Ford dealership was asking 27k for the USED Hybrid I was interested in (no tow package, XL), and 33k for the new (base XL), but they'd have to order it so we would need to wait a few months. Also, they wanted either $1,055 a month for a lease, or 10% APR for financing. No wiggle room, even with my wife's incredible credit. I was floored, dude. My last daily driver was a 2019 Hyundai Kona that I got in 2020, my credit was around 670 at the time, and I got locked in at 4.89. It's insane what dealerships and banks are charging for interest on loans. My wife lives and dies by her Subaru dealership. She's been buying and leasing cars from them for 10 years, and they actually recommended the Ford dealership to us because we wanted either a Maverick or a Bronco, and the Ford was part of their "dealer family." Well turns out, being part of the family meant absolutely nothing. We actually called the Subaru dealership after the experience and they were floored by what I told them, and they even offered to let us check out a Ranger someone had traded in, but it was just a little too pricey for us. Though, we probably would have gone with it if we didn't find the Maverick. I appreciate you offering to help me find a good deal though man! My wife and I love your content, and we hope your channel keeps growing.

    I'm an European working for American company in body repairs/collision business. I've been interested in US manufacturers, dealerships and repair shops for a while now and your videos give me so much valuable insight, so big thank you for that! My opinion about the subject would be, the consumers let the laws work against them. They become "slaves" for the big companies because it's just easier that way and mostly because they can afford it. I believe that consumers should always fight for their rights, always seek for a better option, because often times you will find it out there with just a little effort! I have bought my '23 Ford Fiesta last year. My dealership experience was great, but mainly because the model was not selling well and I knew I'm getting it before ever visiting a showroom. Already at home, you can do a decent research into prices, equipment and insurance. Although, while the process might be easier in Europe, I can still remember other brands here (for some reason mostly Japanese and German) having super-awful dealerships, so it's not like Europe is completely different.

    The video talks about how Ford doesn’t know how to do business for outsourcing labor. Strangely, that is a tell tale of how they do know how to do business. It is not that Ford is simply wanting cutting costs; they have to cut costs. The remaining question is why, and the answer to it has nothing to do with Ford. It has to do with the state of the economy. This is not a political issue, so let’s not go there. The cost of labor in the US is too high, and the out coming quality doesn’t match it. The issues highlighted here are experienced by many manufacturers, not just Ford.

    • @A-BombEnergy
      @A-BombEnergy 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It’s not a good business practice to outsource labor when you are getting American tax payer funds. It might save them money in the short term, but everyone knows that cars built in Fords Mexico plant are nowhere near as good as the ones built in the USA. There are so many other ways to cut costs, the problem is they don’t want to get uncomfortable. Think about it, workers in Mexico plant make like 7 dollars a day and yet the car price is still the same price. That’s an insane amount of profit, which okay great. But why do you need federal funding then? It’s unethical and businesses that operate that way will fail, they always do. I do agree though, the costs in the US and really the West is too high. I could tell you why but then it would be a conversation better had in person over a few drinks. Thanks for commenting Daniel. -Brandon

      @A-BombEnergy 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have heard this too and experienced it actually when I bought my first and second wrangler. What I’ve found is it depends on the car but if this is becoming a trend…then it’s going to backfire on them I think. They are already charging so much for the vehicles and people that are remotely inclined on getting warranties will only do so if the price comes down. Some Toyota dealers are knocking off 10-15% off MSRP on new vehicles because sales are slowing hard for certain models. It’s the only way to move the metal. I can’t imagine what sales would be like if they didn’t do that… Idk if that answers your question but I hope this practice doesn’t become the norm. Carmax and a few others are the only ones I know that don’t negotiate, but there is a reason for that. Can’t wait for the Toyota video, I think that’s a very interesting story. At first when Toyota started selling to the wider world they didn’t have much experience and sold a clunker I believe it was called the Toyota “crown” then they realized that to compete with other well known and established brands like ford and Cadillac they would have to choose their own niche, and not only that but they’d have to do it cheaper and better than anyone else, when they figured that out is when we got absolute gems like the Corolla and Toyota pickup. People still didn’t trust them so they weren’t valued by their owners and got the crap beat out of them, but they didn’t break like all the other cars from well known brands. So now people started to realise their value, and I’d say around 2015-2020 is when they really gained a reputation for being reliable, also around the time that they stopped focusing on being so reliable, so now people are selling 20 year old 4Runners with 500k miles on them for 30k+, Toyota notices that they’ve now suddenly been elected to the position of ‘luxury brand’ and now they start charging luxury brand prices for their vehicles. Which are now unreliable. I hope they can make a comeback but I think they flew too the sun on this one.

    I haven't bought a car from a dealership since 2008. 16 years. One of my coworkers a couple of months back had to go buy a newer, not new car, and holy jesus. I watched this poor guy's anxiety at the THOUGHT of going to a dealer to buy a car shoot through the roof. he got through it, bought some beater mazda for way too much from a buy here die here joint, but the look of relief he had when it was over was crazy. i mean this guy looked like he was awaiting a cancer diagnosis at the thought of having to go buy a car. its pretty easy to see why Carvana and Tesla sell. Tesla sells cars like Apple with corporate stores and Carvana you aren't dealing with a salesman, a sales manager and Finance guy. honestly dealers are one big part of why owning a car kinda sucks. i mean at all points in your ownership its designed to separate you from money. the dealership experience is so bad, as you said in the previous video, people would rather go to the dentist. then you have insurance. which can be nearly 1/2 again their car payment. then you have gas, and then maintenance, and finally repairs. i was blessed to grow up with a great dad who taught me how to do my own maintenance, and I've expanded on those skills as I age. A female FB friend was spazzing out on FB last month that the jiffy lube wanted $150 for an oil change, and I had just did mine. and i spent less than $40 DIYing it. back in Jan i had to pull the car apart to install a clutch slave cylnder in the trans and while i had it all apart i changed out some other stuff too a preventive maintenance. i spent about $400 in parts and supplies. it would have cost someone else $$$$. between car payments, INS, and stupid repair and maintenance costs, its little wonder why younger people are shying away from getting a DL and a car. I mean right now, if I didn't drive my car for work, if i had a job that didn't involve my vehicle, i don't think I'd own one.

I really think Tesla is changing the game on how cars are sold and I hope they continue to push the envelope. The dealership model is actually hurting the dealerships as well because if they had more competition, it would push them to improve. But there’s none and so they just think they can take people for a ride. Which is exactly what they’re doing. I feel bad for your coworker too, and I understand his pain. Dealerships can be intimidating because it’s a professional environment, where people are pros at reading people. Unless you do it every day, I understand why you’re intimidated. Sounds like you had a really really good dad growing up and my dad did the same thing. Looking back I think he just wanted me to change his oil in his car, but that’s OK. I still learned a lot. That's funny, I was just wondering WTF, LOL! Salesmen hate me, I destroy them by flipping the script. I make it so they desperately want to sell me the car/motorcycle rather than my desperation to buy it. I've even said, "Look, I don't even care if it has seats installed, I'll mount lawn chairs in it! If you want the satisfaction of knowing you didn't let the hardest sell you've ever had leave without buying a car even when he didn't want it we need to knock down that number" Destination fee, gone! Undercoating fee, gone! Every nonsensical BS fee, gone! Less than invoice plus tax, that's it! Of course I do have an ENTJ-A personality and if you ae familiar with that it means I'm heartless and ruthless and thrive in conflict. I been feeling more like an INTJ lately but I took the test again and I'm still ENTJ but with only +12 on the "E" instead of +70-80, LOL! If you have no idea what I'm talking about (wouldn't fault you if you didn't, like "WTF is even that?" LOL!) I've provided a link below. Check it out and take the test it's only 10 min. long and then read the personality bio. That's where the fun starts as it will read you like an open book, you might even feel like someone been spying on you for years. A very helpful resource to better understand why we are the way we are. Have fun! www.humanmetrics.com/hr/you/personalitytype.aspx

      Yeah brother that’s really the only way to buy cars from dealers these days. It’s like a literal battle when you go in there and you have to look at it that way. They love to play the games but you can’t play them back. I did that once and boy will I never do that again lol! And I’ve taken that test before, in SOF you get tested like crazy. I consistently score as a INTJ T. It’s like an architect and strategic thinker. Also good to see you again brother 😁 -Brandon

      @@A-BombEnergy INTJ's are like the top of the personality food chain followed by ENTJ. Funny how you got the T as the Identifier, LOL! You chaotic young man! Yeah, you'd be the Architect, I got the Commander, what's interesting to me is I also scored a 256 on the EIQ but my personality type is somewhat emotionally devoid. I think what it gives me however is the insane accurate ability to "size people up". I used to have my own house painting business and I sold every single bid I put out there, I was so good at closing the deal I had other contractors bring me in on deals they couldn't get signed and I close all of those too. And all I did was read the slightest changes in facial patters to determine which way to pitch my approach from. Later I realized that it doesn't matter what you're selling or what service you are providing. It wasn't that I had lower prices because I didn't. It was me they were buying, the confidence I instilled in them that I was the only man for the job who was not only going to do the work as prescribed but I would be accountable for anything that went wrong and treat them right. That is the number one intangible that if harnessed will be the biggest contributor to your success. It's not what's being sold, it's whose selling it that people buy. And I to am always glad to ear from you too, although I have no stake in anything you do. I do want for you to enjoy great success, because I know you will appreciate it and find ways to help others as well. It's getting nuts out here so I hope you are strapped up and got the situational awareness switch flipped up. And remember, while we may not be the biggest and the baddest out here. We can more than make up for it by being the meanest and the nastiest. God keep you and yours close by his side brother.

But when I find a toyota it's like a shocker! And most toyotas mattel makes are old old land cruisers and vans trucks etc Once in a super blue moon you find a 2020 Tacoma. Smells like mattel is getting their pockets filled by the big three to advertise to children dog food domestic models. Excuse my French🐶🇨🇵

      Thats a lot of miles for 2 months! Wow! You must be having a blast driving it, my friend has one and he LOVES it. I won't ever own an Asian car because they just don't do it for me unfortunately. They are super reliable but I'll admit and they are changing how they do business when it comes to style/flare. Many of the ones i've driven were just boring to me and didn't fit my style. However, it sounds like your Forte GT is rocking and rolling and maybe I need to look into it. My current daily is a BMW M340i and I like you have a blast every time I drive it. Still have my jeeps though, won't ever get a new one though because what they are doing to the brand.
