Will Sackboy be able to follow his footsteps back to The Gardens after defeating The Collector?
That's the question that this video will be answering as we see what it takes for each level in LittleBigPlanet's story to be completed backwards, with one important rule:
Each level is played normally beforehand, allowing us to set up anything that we need to that might make the backwards playthrough easier.
This challenge is basically just asking if each level can be completed forwards and then backwards in its entirety, without any restrictions at all. And while I could have just presented the video that way, I thought it would be more fun to imagine it as one big playthrough of the game, with the narrative being about Sackboy on a big journey back through all of the worlds, where the levels don't reset when he returns, and that his actions have consequences for later visits, as if it was real.
This was a really fun one to do because of the unusual order of levels and the exploration of certain game mechanics that have never been relevant for any challenges before this. Which is also cool because avoiding checkpoints has been an idea for a challenge for a while, so I'm glad I was able to do some of that here.
