Great video i have orientation on the 30th. So the truck has power even when its off. Is there a generator u have to turn off after turning the truck off in order for things like the tv, ac/heater, and microwave to work ?

I’m very curious how the DOT views having work done to your tractor/trailer while you are suppose to be on break or off duty? You know you pull into the truck stop, do your post trip, find a leaking tire, go off duty to start your ten hour break, then go the shop and it’s gonna be 3 hours before they can get you in, then an hour to do the job, then you have to find a place to park… not much “downtime or off-duty” time until you are 4-5 hours into your ten hour break… and you only get 4-5 hours of sleep before your ten hours is over and you hit the road again.

This applies to life in general. Make sure you got everything ready the day before so the next day, when morning comes, your not waisting time getting things together.

Yessir 100% agree. I did 7 years as independent not once did i blow a tire, tip a trailer, end up in a ditch or even an accident. Very simple dont drive like a jackass and KNOW YOUR EQUIPMENT

I never leave without heat and 2 mags. I had a buddy get jumped twice once at Petro in Oak Grove,Mo. he handled that guy. 2nd time on 10th street in Indy while making a delivery, they knocked him out when walked around to get in his truck. It's when you're out of your truck that they strike, but still a good idea to take extra precautions especially for females while sleeping. Good advice driver.
