Its most likely because you don’t wear your hair curly anymore. We have only seen you in silk presses for the 6 months. Everyone knows that wearing your hair straight will lead to less damage.

Yes, my hair has lost density, but it has grown like it always does. The longest part of my hair is tailbone length. I plan on cutting it soon to get rid of most of the damage. I'm ready to get back to my full, healthy curls. Thanks for all the content surrounding this topic. It's been very helpful.

Also, I am now doing all cream wash n gos and am wondering if letting my hair air dry is better then being under the blow dryer on medium heat is more healthy for my hair?

Shelly I get you girl - in 5 years of being natural - this is first winter I’ve been wearing my hair flat ironed. It’s been great with cutting out this damage from the darn no oils /butters crap. I miss my curls - but I want my hair healthy again.

Real hairstylists cut naturally curly hair WET. Stretching makes NO rational sense.

Thank you for your honesty in how you feel about this whole hair issue and how it has affected you. One solution that many may not like is to simply cut if off and start again but this time in a group setting where you all do the same thing at the same time, then look at what you did in the past that made your hair thrive and go down that road again, encouraging each other in every step. For example, looking at ingredients that help your scalp and hair, looking at styles to fit your faces, how to protect your hair in certain months/seasons, and much more, including any vitamins, foods to eat and such like. I say chop your hair off because many will spend countless visits going to and fro to hairdressers, only to lose money then having to cut it off anyway.

They told people not to do it but they're still doing it? That's why it's important to learn how to take care of your own hair. The cancel culture really need to cancel them for real

I’m natural and have been for decades. I learned in my years that it doesn’t matter what texture your hair is, there is a stylist looking to make a buck and willing to damage your hair so you keep coming back. I feel for everyone who incurred harm and damage to these stylists pushing unhealthy hair practices. Give yourselves some TLC.

This quick scheme is subjective. It doesn’t have any real evidence to support the health of hair, but their own opinion and the satisfaction to create something new. Class action for the victims affected 🎉

Cult-like indeed. My hairstylist flew out and attended their training as well and knew right away that she was not going to subscribe to their methodology. We both agreed that something was off about them. I did use their methods at home and NEVER had length retention for many years.

I’m glad the truth is coming out and people are speaking out but why did they wait so long. It’s been almost 2 years since you Rosie and narada first made mention of the issue and it only took me a few uses of the recommended products to notice a difference in my hair. I just hate that you guys had to be dragged through the mud for so long until people finally started to pay attention to the message.
