    Wow! Sexy cut Shelly!!! I love it!!! And I’m glad you did too. I bet it feels nice for that burden to be lifted and you’re starting off fresh! Old things are passed away, now all things are new! Looking forward to your journey! 💕😍

    I love it! She did an awesome job with the cut! I go back in December…SMDH! Hopefully I won’t t have to get another chop chop but we will see! Thanks for sharing.

      I hope you don’t either! 💖🙏🏽 My stylist said I needed 3 really good cuts. She also told me in addition to this cuts she needed 1 full year to get me back right. So with her help and my new haircare routine I feel confident I’m on the right track!
      The best part is, my hair has done a complete 180 in a relatively short period of time. So you have a solid blueprint to go off of if you want to use it. 💖🙌🏽

    I totally can relate to losing so much length from repairing two years of curly cuts. I’ve had three corrective cuts and I’m finally starting to see the length again and my hair is so healthy and easy to detangle. You got this!

    Wow she really took a lot off! But if it had to go, it had to go. Nice full ends will definitely help the grow out process.
    I'm going through trying to grow out layers, and I've opted to let it grow, then cut a little, then grow then cut a little instead of doing one big cut. Pros, I don't have to have short hair, cons, it feels like my growth is stalling. Some of those layers have a looooong way to go 😅

    • @shelly.v.247
      @shelly.v.247  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely!! Girl trust me I didn’t want to cut it but I was as thankful it wasn’t more than it was. 😅💯
      I’m also super excited about no longer having layers anymore because one of my goals was to get back to one length. I honestly thought it’d take me way longer especially since a ton of layers were cut into my hair this past January. 😆

    I’m getting a blow out and cut on Thursday! I’ve never had a curly cut but I be playing in my hair like I’m a licensed beautician chopping my hair up! 😮😂 My last real haircut was Jan 2021 when I got it cut into a curly pixie. I’ve been letting it grow out and snipping it here and there with my sheers 😂😂 (I need to stop and leave that to the professionals). I won’t be getting a silk press but I did say maybe a one pass curling iron job because I don’t need nor like my hair to be bone straight!!! And I’m always fearful of heat damage. I’m excited and nervous but the professional salon visit is much needed ❤ You hair is beautiful!

    Shelly still love ya although I still love my curly cuts and not using any raw oils and butters and no intentions of blow drying, silk press or flat ironing.

    • @shelly.v.247
      @shelly.v.247  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There’s absolutely nothing wrong with you getting a curly cut. I personally no longer have a desire to get them because I don’t feel they address all my hairs split ends. Plus I can get a bomb shape through my blown out cuts.
      I didn’t get a silk press. I did have her blow it out and flat iron it lightly so I could fully assess the damage in my hair. Without you do that Ossie you’ll never truly know if your hair is as healthy as you think it is. Matter of fact, several people who said their hair was healthy are getting it blown out and are finding that it’s not. 🤷🏽‍♀️
      I don’t use raw oils or butters and never will because I only tried it once and didn’t like it. However, I have reimplemented products that are oil and butter rich in the top 5 ingredients. They come in the form of deep conditioners, leave ins and styling products etc.
      I’m glad you love your curls as much as I do. That’s where we are similar. 💖

    You did not need all that cut. She could have cut layers to get the rest of the splits. She played in your hair.

    • @shelly.v.247
      @shelly.v.247  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I didn’t want any layers any more. 😝One of my goals was to get back to one length because I feel my hair is stronger that way. 🙌🏽Plus I instructed her to cut the damage off. I honestly think she didn’t cut enough. I truly think she should have taken it up a tad more. That’s how severely damaged it was from the things I’ve discussed in previous videos.
      However I know it’s very hard to watch someone get a lot of hair cut but I promise it needed to go! 😅

    • @tmariek2
      @tmariek2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@shelly.v.247 it’s not hard to watch cutting hair. I’m a huge advocate for cutting off dead ends. I have seen some of your previous videos and saw your hair was really damaged. It also seemed you were making progress with your hair recently. In prior videos i saw where the splits went up the shaft. Those were months ago tho. just didn’t see where all that hair was damaged in this video.

    • @shelly.v.247
      @shelly.v.247  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I totally get what you’re saying and why you’d think that Luv. However, I first found out my hair was damaged just this past May. Then in August is when I realized it wasn’t just damaged but rather severely damaged!!! So although it seems like a long time ago, it’s only been 6 months. My hair has definitely improved because it’s now hydrated but Chile these splits are ridiculous! Even after having all that amount cut, I still cane home and saw them. That’s the part that’s been the most frustrating to endure! I share all that to say, my hair is about 80% healthy now. I think it’s going to take a full year to get her back to being healthy from root to tip. Lastly, when I watched the video of the cut because I have to full video of it. She really should have cut at least another inch off based off the line of demarcation. 💖

    • @lavinder11
      @lavinder11 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Layering on tightly curly hair actually encourages split ends in the long run. I love layers but have learned this from the 20+ years of being natural.
