Paul Sister Was On Donna Reed Show Too

Thank you John for your sharing this intimate interview. Paul is an amazing man. He was instrumental intervening with a friend of mine, who was a child actor back in the 1960’s. He always took the time and energy to reach out and be there. Love to you and Paul💕

This was a really interesting interview, I knew about Paul's "A Minor Consideration" but some of the things he brought up were very shocking. Several years ago to help support his work Paul sold pictures of the cast of the Donna Reed show and would personally sign them. One Christmas I ordered several as gifts for friends and family that he signed and personalized to each person or family. They turned out to be some of the best gifts I have ever given and everyone was so surprised and really touched to receive them.

Outstanding interview! I've always equated Rance, Ron and Clint to Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. In 1999 after taping the "Donny & Marie Show", I fell asleep watching "The Waterboy" on a red-eye back to Philly. When I awoke, the stewardess retrieved her headphones and gave me back my ten dollars. ✈✈✈

John, every time I think you’ve reached the pinnacle of your interviews, the next one proves me wrong. This interview is fascinating. Such wonderful and eye-opening stories from Paul! I have all the Donna Reed episodes on DVD and still watch them regularly. AND, having all the episodes of “The Flying Nun” as well, I get to see Paul as “Sonny,” the childhood friend of Sally Field’s “Sister Bertrille,” and the lead singer of “Sonny and the Sundowners” in that episode. I'm about an hour into this and Paul Petersen is very entertaining and fun to listen to. He mentions a lot of names, yes, but they're not celebrities to him. He just knew them, met them along the way, befriended them. He was already growing up by the time I was born and I saw him as a kid in retrospect and I couldn't stand him - because he was a cute little kid and I wasn't - even though he's about 15 years older them I am 🤣🤣🤣. Imagine envying celluloid images.

I want to thank Paul for speaking out and keeping an eye on the generations of young performers coming up behind him in showbusiness with his organization A Minor Consideration.

Paul certainly has great legacy in A minor consideration and was in a western called journey to shiloh with a cast that included Jan Michael Vincent, Harrison Ford, James Caan and Michael Sarrazin not forgetting Don Stroud. Maybe the Young Guns of it's day

Great interview, I've always liked Paul Petersen. I also happen to have that episode of his performance with Henry Fonda.

Oh what a wonderful interview with Paul Peterson. I loved him on The Donna Reed Show & movies he's been in. I was also aware of his organization A Minor Consideration. So sad so many child stars came to a sad ending. Breaks my heart. I have such respect for Paul for trying to make a difference..I hope you guys get together again for another interview. I would also like to know how his health is. His energy level appears to be good. I'll keep him in my prayers.

I really hope you get to speak together again soon, this was wonderful! I spent this last winter watching The Donna Reed Show, on Amazon Prime. What a treat! I had watched it back in the late 80's early 90's on Nick @ Nite...I fell in love with this wonderful family, the Stones. I even bought the Donna Reed Show watch...loved it. Sadly I now longer have it. 🥺 I discovered the D.R.S. on TUBI and Now I watch it again, but I love the 4th season (the Johnny Angel, season). ❤️ I have followed Paul back from when he started a Minor Consideration and sharing on all the talk shows. What great work he has done with this and has helped so many ! His personal story is so interesting, Im so glad you were able to finally able to find a time to get together & visit!! I truely hope there will be a part #2!!! 👍👍

I skipped around on the interview...was it ever mentioned why Paul is on an oxygen ventilator?

If Paul never did anything else, his performance of "My Dad" on the program would be enough to place him in the list of all-time most special and memorable moments in TV history. I've never made it through that performance without tears. In those days they rarely recognized kids for performances on TV and music. But Paul was most deserving of an Emmy & a Grammy for that performance. Yet Paul has so many additional accomplishments to be proud of and I salute him.

The Waltons-at least the tv series-began life as a Christmas tv special. But after everyone loved the tv special the studio decided to have it be a series.

On Mash Alan Alda said in an interview that in the Mash mess tent scenes that the actors never actually ate in there either (Michael saying that on Waltons the actors never actually ate in the dinner scenes)

Dear Pamela, I loved seeing you and all the cast on Little House. It's neat to hear of the real-life friendships you have shared with the cast and crew of that great show. Sadly, we recently lost Shannen Doherty, as she has joined Victor French, Michael Landon, Dabbs Greer, Kevin Hagen, Katherine MacGregor, Richard Bull, Merlin Olsen, and Karl Swenson in heaven. I enjoy all your appearances in Little House, but I think I enjoy Bless All the Dear Children the most.
