Wow....I know I always say that...but just writing to Grace Kelly and being able to sit and talk with her. How awesome that is. I loved to watch Gentle Ben. The bear brawl was great. It is amazing what animals can sense and subdue their wildness in that type of situation is really incredible. Reminds me of the story of I Dream of Jeannie when I think a tiger came over the couch to her. Anyway, terrific as always. Thanks again John. :) Have a great Labor Day weekend
@@bambijimper Happy Labor Day to you and Karl! Glad you enjoyed the interview with Beth. I was blown away by her Grace Kelly, it shows the human side of Grace Kelly, so impressive😀
Back in the early 70s at 7 AM Monday through Friday, gentle Ben and Lassie would come on before I went to kindergarten! I would always get on the bus and tell my bus driver that I wanted to see the end of the show. I guess he finally understood because he would park down at the corner for 10 minutes every day so I could see the last 10 minutes of Lassie! Is that a dedicated bus driver or what? Thanks for the great podcast I love it and I'm still watching. Also, is there anyway you could interview the guy who played Cody on step-by-step? I would love to see an interview with him! Thanks again for the great podcast❤️
@@ThatsClassicTV thank you! I'm not only listen to your podcast interviews, but I also have a friend that I have to share each and everyone with through email! L O L so you are getting a two for one deal!😁
@@ThatsClassicTV Thank you so much! I listened. Loved hearing her wonderful memories of Dennis Weaver. Dennis was from Joplin (like my mom). I'm told my great uncle was friends with Weaver. Weaver is easily the most famous actor from Joplin. I grew up in Houston but went to college in Joplin my 1st 2 yrs - the same college Weaver went to before he also transferred (to OU). In a strange coincidence, Weaver starred as Buck James in a show set in Houston (late 80's). His character was based on legendary Houston surgeon Dr. Red Duke. My dad's 2nd wife dated Dr. Duke right before she married my dad. PS The Grace Kelly story might be the best story on That's Classic

I haven’t heard of her in decades. Enjoyed her on Gentle Ben.
Beth has such wild stories and her insight on the behind the scenes of Gentle Ben was pretty cool!
How cool is this? I loved Gentle Ben as a boy. I would love to see it on TH-cam. Thank you so much.
Enjoy Bob, Beth has some amazing stories and especially with Gentle Ben😀
19:00 Beth was correct that Ron Howard was in two episodes of "Gentle Ben." One episode in Season 1, and one in Season 2.
Thanks for sharing the specifics Chris👍
