I went back and watched LAST OF THE HARD MAN and sure enough Charleton Heston the ex - lawman in search of his daughter had a magnificent horse in the film. he was right that young actor that rode with Heston was excellent.
👍💯Thank you so much for this wonderful interview. Larry Wilcox is truly a legend. I love CHiPs, and since last summer I haven't stopped watching it and being interested in this amazing TV show. I adore Jon Baker, truly the best good guy ever, with a big and kind heart. The same profound kindness and friendliness that I sincerely find in Larry Wilcox. I wish him all the best. Thank you. Greetings from Europe.
Hi John. Larry is a wonderful guy. Chips really was huge in the UK. I can only imagine how hard it must of been to leave the show in such circumstances. Wonderful to hear stories of some of the great actors he met. And if all gos well even better things to come. I wish him all the best. Always a pleasure John. Take care.💯👏😊
Hi Mandy, Larry is such an interesting guy. The fact that he had to quit because they were going to take him off the show was unreal. Hope you’re doing better too!
Thank you very much to you both for this wonderful interview with a genuine gentleman. I met Erik Estrada a few years ago at an autograph show, and he was extremely personable, too. I still watch CHiPs as often as possible, as I especially like studying the location photography (knowing that much of how Southern California looked like back then, sadly, no longer exists). Thank you again,.
@lobster4501 I'm glad to hear it. I always go on IMdB after watching the show to check out the locations that were used, and then I go on Google to see what they look like now. I always wish I had been a teenager in the San Fernando Valley, instead of in NJ.
Larry became a minor celebrity especially the young kiddies from that great show. a star is a star no matter if it's tv film or music business. I didn't know about his military and personal life.

My pleasure, Erik is unbelievably personable and loves his fans too. It is cool to see Southern California as parts of it used to be.
I've always loved Larry's down to earth nature!
Larry certainly is down to earth that is for sure😀
Larry is a great guy. Crazy how popular chips was. It was great though
It was a huge hit once it got going for a second season:)
What a great interview! CHiPs was a must watch at our house! Wonderful memories. Thank you both!
My pleasure, glad it brought back some fun memories!
Going from memory, Andy McLaglen was the son of actor Victor McLaglen ("The Quiet Man") who was also a very big man.
Interesting.
Yes that was Andrew's father. Andrew's children are all in the film biz also as producers.
@@LarryDeeWilcox Thanks for sharing:)
