Porsche 911 Targa Restoration// Part 5 (PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER!!)
After owning this 1973 Porsche 911 Targa for three years, it's finally time to start putting it back together. It was a race car for many years, and I made the decision to bring it back to a road car. This is not advisable. I would never advise anyone to do this unless you love pain, and bleeding money.
It's been a huge learning experience for me the last few years with these old cars. It's a true labor of love. Restoring an old car is no easy task. For those doing the entire thing on their own, I salute you. This was clearly too much for me, which is why I took it to Perfect lines Restoration to have them straighten the car and do the metal work. I've still done a decent amount of work on this car, but not nearly as much as I'd planned to do.
A friend to come help made this a much more enjoyable day, and a better video in my opinion.
Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy!

Driving my 1972 911 on a mountain road. This car has a 3.2 short stroke engine. Not much to this video aside from talking about the car, tires, seats, etc. Hope you enjoy thanks for watching! Here is a link to my exact seats which are made my Deser Torino, and sold by Mr FIAT in the U.S. mrfiat.com/german/porsche/911-912-65-73/interior/porsche-911-sport-s-model-sport-seat-perforated-leather.html
1973 Porsche 911 Targa Build Series//Part 5- valve adjustment and prep for assembly
มุมมอง 1.1K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, the engine gets a valve adjustment, new bushings are pressed in, suspension parts get painted, and the last bit of work is done before putting it all back together. If you're new to the channel, this is all for my 1973 Porsche 911 Targa. Since I'm a genius, I decided to purchase a Targa race car and convert it back to a street car. Why would I buy a car thats ready to drive and e...

Porsche 912 Drive (POV)- Alone on a mountain road
มุมมอง 7K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
Come for a drive in my 1968 Porsche 912. The car is at the point where I've been driving it almost everyday and using it as a normal car. It's a great vehicle to jump in and go run errands or whatever I need to do. A canyon road is a lot more enjoyable than running errands. Life's been busy and I haven't had a chance to drive it on mountain roads more than a couple times. If you enjoy watching ...
New Seats for my 1972 Porsche 911 E

I got a set of reproduction sport seats for my 1972 Porsche 911 E. I really love the look and feel of the Recaro Rallye 1 seat that I had in the car, but it was pretty tight on the hips. Since I want to drive this car on road trips and rallies, it made sense for me to get something more comfortable. Sport seats have always been something I've wanted. I bought a set of repro seats for this car a...
1968 Porsche 912 gets new front and rear glass seals

I replaced the front and rear glass seals. I figure it was worth sharing since other people may be curious as to how this job goes. I did not want to do this, but two of my cars needed new seals. It would have cost nearly $2,000 to have both cars done. A decent savings and one more small skill as an at home mechanic. Hope it helps anyone looking to do this.
