One great video this week Michael! I too now a bit more about how manual transmissions function...though that still leaves me very, very much in the dark about them overall. Smart choice to take it to a pro, I would have to do the same without question. I really love the cabin video shots from the back deck, the engine sound is pure magic from there! Thanks again for another very cool video and the hills around town look lush with greenery too! Peace to you and yours ✌
Hands down my favorite of your Porsche’s. I started my career at a shop called Precision Z in Canoga Park, if it was a slow day the owner would have us grab a used manual transmission and completely rebuild it , a skill that I don’t get to use very often and yes gears do break, synchro’s stop synchronizing ( sometimes brass ) and bearings wear out. Thanks again for another great video.
Great looking Carrera . I like how you implemented some of the older Porsche elements into it without doing a full on back date . Like the RS style door cards , the 917 style wood shifter , and the " Porsche Script " in black to contrast the white . The exhaust is perfect it has a perfect balance of raspy and induction while not being obnoxious. And no popping or back firing that has become soo popular these days which I dont like and you didnt do . Oh and I dig the impact bumper delete . Looks great its not been made too be nice like a garage queen its looks and runs like a drivers 911. Its perfect.
The Carrera sounds so good! The day after I bought my SC, in typical 915 fashion, I lost first gear! After about three weeks at the shop, transmission was done and shifts beautifully, nothing like an aircooled 911 with a smooth shift. How about a little off-roading in the Cayenne?
Synchros are a lot of a more common issue on that gearbox. Now you’re solid for a long time unless you can’t shift correct haha. Man, idk if many folks are interested in the cayenne but definitely a good time for it with all this weather we’re getting 👊🏻
@@michaelgideon6422 Yep, I can tell both by the sound and by how fast that tachometer climbs you have done some things to that engine! It revs like a short-stroke!
As I go through your awesome channel I get more and more dumbfounded 😅! WAIT so you have 4 Porsches? The red, the olive, the green Targa and this white Carrera as well?!
PS: would a video with your Dad driving it be cool for you? I remember you said in an earlier video this was the car that you both went to pick up, your first 911.
That SOUND IS GLORIOUS! 🔥🔥🔥
Great channel! Sweet 911 sounds.
Thank you! So glad to hear that.
Running SUPER strong. Very impressive. Waiting to get my baby back too. Hope Steve Wong knows what he's doing.
thanks! He does, this car has his chip in it
Nothing beats the feeling when you resolve a mechanical issue. Your exhaust sound excellent!
It feels great 👍. Thank you!
Stoked to see the car back on the road man!
Thanks Joseph! Appreciate the continued support
Great news indeed. 🎉🎉. Maybe a review on this car and the olive … and a comparison.
👊🏻🧠🐸 ok three easy videos

Great ride! Great car!
🙏🐸👍 the late g series cars are sweet
That's a beautiful car man. I can't afford Porches anymore, so I get my kicks from NA Miatas. It works. Keep the videos coming. I love seeing them.

I’ve heard of that shop a few times over the years. Rebuilding a trans is above my pay grade at this stage. The old Datsuns are great
Clean clean clean 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
🙏👌 thank you

Thanks for the update Michael, glad the Carrera is back 100%! Other videos, maybe a little more in depth look at your cars?
Appreciate the comment! Ok I can do that here soon. Thank you for the input

Sounds so good. Besides the motor, what other work has been to the car?
Thanks! A lot has been done I’ll do a video on this soon. Thanks for watchin!
