if it makes you feel any better, i started my dream game 20 years ago. i've lost count of how many times i'm completely written it and it's still in a less playable state then yours. though i also wrote the engine for it from scratch.

The game is looking great and coming along well! But I feel like the camera angle is off a bit, making the characters and animals squished

The idea of goblins keeping canada geese as livestock made me think... I doubt the goblins can eat the geese (the geese are likely to react with violence), they might use them as hunting animals or for eggs. Anyway, that led me to picturing goblins throwing goose eggs at people to make their packs of hunting geese aggressive towards them. As a Canadian myself, it's what I would do if my soul were tainted enough for geese to regard me as a kindred spirit. I'm currently only like 85% of the way there.

Goblins definitely have lambs and hogs. They’re very wasteful with the sheep wool and the hogs revolt often, killing both goblins and the sheep

This may be an out of the blue comment, but I notice a lot of dismemberment when your testing with combat. If your planning some sort of magic system, you defintely have to have some sort of mending/"meat magic" spells. Regenerating limbs over a long period of time or mending wounds will spells would be neat, maybe regenerated limbs have to constantly maintained, replaced or just aren't as good as regular ole limbs. Or just fabricating organs and limbs to sell off to people would be pretty fun, not sure who would be buying organs in some medieval society though.

You could make it so amidst combat there is a % chance they break off and go solo mid-combat or on-hit. So ruffling up the flock causes some to disperse and mixes up what geese are in what flocks, or can end up solo again for a bit after the simulation has been going a while.

I love that anyone who grew up north of Cali has an inborn hatred of Geese.

Having more creatures is always a fun time. Even more fun if you don’t make them hate each other for no reason, instead make one group raid the other or fund the form of the other unappealing, and when they hate each other enough they will start fighting on sight.
