Lol they'll hit when you least expect it too. I was targeting snakehead in a dirty canal miles inshore. Got blown up by a slot snook on a tiny Mepps spinner. It was way too strong for that snakehead rig and got away, but I will not quit that spot til I land one.

Totally related to your sense around dropping that Snook, and because there wasn’t a great pic to be had, that it somehow wasn’t a catch… I have to fight that all the time in terms of what trying to generate content does to our psyche. Good reminder that a catch is a catch regardless of whether or not it turns out to be a great pic/video capture. Good stuff here as always!!

🌴 Hey Christian, well we made it thru the hurricane, fishing was and still isn’t back but it’s to be expected, glad you took us along on this vid , smart move doing some pre tournament exploring to see what’s going on , good luck on the tournament, was doing some exploring myself this morning been eyeballing a tributary canal that goes into Tampa bay , never fished it but have seen manatee and flipper cruising it , watched for bait , rolling flashes , water disruption, but it was all just still , but it looks fishy as heck , I guess I’ll just wait it out till things get back to normal , maybe some big live baits might get things going ? Are you going to video the tournament? Always watching 👍🏼

Christian, great comments on all the reels, top end video work and editing. Call me ole school which I am, on my salary while bringing up 3 kids and every bill known to man. I am really loyal to Penn reels, price point, durability, function and performance. I have Penn reels twice your age that still work perfectly, my inshore is a 3000 Slammer on a custom 7'4" mh rod I had built to my specs, the most $ I have ever spent on a pc of fishing equipment. Caught over a 100 or so fish up to 45# and this rod is incredible, it was my 62nd birthday present! Great work young man.

Gulps are weird. I wouldn’t doubt that the bag was just softer. I have been using the containers lately and find that they are much more durable. I can use a new penny 3 inch out of the container for numerous fish, which is unheard of lol. I like the 3 inch better.
