I love your production man such an appreciation for nature it reminds me to take a look around me when I’m fishing to appreciate it all and take it in… good luck w the tournament🙏🏽
Great video 👊. The best days I've ever had have been on the most windy days. Especially the glades. Only time I don't prefer wind is in the winter time when it's cold and water temps are low. 👍👍
You should fish the Herman Lucerne Memorial Tournament next year. Seven species of fish over two days (tarpon, bonefish, snook, redfish, black drum, trout, mangrove snapper/largemouth bass). All fish must be caught in Everglades National Park. The Lucerne tournament benefits the park.
Christian, I must say your graphic showing up on the gas pump handle was pretty clever, appreciate your insight on your vids and fishing alike. Good luck in the tournament.
🌴 Hey Christian, well we made it thru the hurricane, fishing was and still isn’t back but it’s to be expected, glad you took us along on this vid , smart move doing some pre tournament exploring to see what’s going on , good luck on the tournament, was doing some exploring myself this morning been eyeballing a tributary canal that goes into Tampa bay , never fished it but have seen manatee and flipper cruising it , watched for bait , rolling flashes , water disruption, but it was all just still , but it looks fishy as heck , I guess I’ll just wait it out till things get back to normal , maybe some big live baits might get things going ? Are you going to video the tournament? Always watching 👍🏼
Great video as always. Do you like the 3" or 4" gulp shrimp? I primarily throw the 3" but tried moving up to the 4" looking for bigger reds. I don't know if it was a bad bag or not, but the 4' just was not as durable as the 3". Thanks for you awesome videos and good luck in the tournament!
Gulps are weird. I wouldn’t doubt that the bag was just softer. I have been using the containers lately and find that they are much more durable. I can use a new penny 3 inch out of the container for numerous fish, which is unheard of lol. I like the 3 inch better.
Great stuff! Alva here. Let's fish the caloosahatchie together. Do a vet a solid! I have to ask you what liquid are you pulling your baits out of? Thanks
Yo. Have fun man. The other tournament I told you about is my first anything I should know about, or should I bring anything special for the tournament?
@@christian_masterson yes in the back. Not that you want them for your tournament but there were 100s of snook in the back too. The lines near Lostmans was loaded with snook too.
I was in lostmans the other day. I didn’t bother going up the river but maybe I’ll have to try. I figured they’d be near the coast more but I guess not
@@christian_masterson Up to the top of Lostmans and lines as if you were taking the back way back to the ramp. Those two jungle cuts that you have to go through to get back toward Darwin’s has fish at The mouths too

Solid work as always. A few of my coworkers fish that tournament every year and have a lot of fun. Watch out for the big croc over in Flamingo.

It’s a gulp container they sell. Has some liquid for scent!
You a beast you a dawg
😎
im fishing that too
Nice!
Yo. Have fun man. The other tournament I told you about is my first anything I should know about, or should I bring anything special for the tournament?
It’s my first one as well haha. Not the best person to ask
how sharp are the snooks gill plates?
Extremely sharp. If your leader gets caught under there it can be over quick.
Winning stringer will not be coming from out front. Since Helene they are in the back. Best pre cold front fishing in the last 20 years I been there
Backcountry?

The mouths too
Deleted. I’ve fished the bays but never the mouths. Maybe I’ll try them since I have to pass on through anyways. Thanks
We missed each other by one day otherwise we probably would have met at the ramp. I’m the guy that bought the boat from jimmy 😂
Haha thanks for the support man
I hope you do good in the tournament! What is the name of it
Redsnook!
What rod is that your using?
In this video I used a bulls bay banshee, bulls bay bolt, and a star rod
Nice, I fish there all the time. Love it there and I know where those redfish are. Hit me up if you want some info to increase your chances.
