Kinda obvious when you think about how Duster lived most of his life, being forced to train under Wess most of his life, not being allowed to live a normal childhood, thereby not being able to make any meaningful connections with those around him, think about it, when the villagers around him refer to Duster they just call him “Wess’ son” because they barely know the guy, during the events of Mother 3 he’s around people for the first time in his life, and genuinely enjoying his time with them, knowing that the dragon could destroy the world and by proxy, his friends, he didn’t want to loss them, he didn’t wanna be alone again.

I always felt Brawl Lucas was Lucas during the timeskip. Looking back that doesn’t make sense since if I remember right he gets his PSI after that but still. The other possibility I like is that it is directly AFTER Mother 3, right after spoilers: His brother commits suicide using Lucas' own Franklin Badge and Lucas destroys and recreates the world. As strong as he is, those two events are incredibly traumatic and he is only 13. If Subspace takes place like, directly after that, and I mean DIRECTLY, like a few minutes later he is wisked away to smash, then his behavior in Subspace would make sense. So that is my headcanon

I just need to ask why this fandom treats Itoi's word as the word of god when everytime he speaks about theories in interviews he always says that he doesn't write in the word of god style? The quote you referenced as him "officially endorsing" Ness is Flint isn't an endorsement of that specific theory, it's him expressing that he respects theories that seek to 'fill in the gaps' so to speak because he doesn't have a defined secret lore in his head for what's off screen in the series. Or more simply, what's in the games is what he wrote, and any questions you may have outside of them are fine for you to believe your own interpretation of because there isn't a "true" answer hidden in a document in his desk somewhere, like there may be for Zelda lore or etc. I've read multiple quotes from this man that express this sentiment, usually when he's asked something like "what do you think of X theory" or "What happened between X and Y?" But it seems like the fanbase interprets this in the complete opposite way, trying to read "confirmation" or "deconfirmation" from it. I have a lot of my own theories but they're inferences, plausible things that, in my opinion are able to answer "gaps" in canon information with respect for occam's razor, but since those details are gaps anyway, it's just as fine to fill that gap in your mind canonically with a more wild interpretation like Ness is Flint, or to think of CogDis as canon for example, as long as your belief isn't overlapping with and contradicting what's established canon. This is why Itoi respects Ness is Flint. He has established Ness and Flint as characters in the story, but doesn't have a canon for Ness's adult life or Flint's childhood, so hey, you might as well believe what you want to believe about either of those things, including that they might be connected. I wish I knew a better terminology for this idea, "Word of Dante" comes close, but either way, I think you get what I mean.

The WORST Puyo game...?

i think this game wouldve been better if they listened to what the fans want and still want from a puyo game, yes everyone wants a minotaruos strip mini game and him to be playable dressed and undressed

I always find it odd that "too similar" is a big deal to smash speculation from fans when the devs keep proving game after game how little they care about that ever since making Ganondorf a Falcon clone lmao. I get it because as players, uniqueness is something we should want, but is that an actual priority for decision making? For example they could have picked Azura instead of Corrin because she would have been much more unique, but they didn't care, Elma instead of Aegis, Edelgard instead of Byleth etc. While movesets are the bread and butter of the game, it seems that character importance is always the top priority above everything else. The biggest proof of this is how characters like Sonic still have weirdly unrepresentative movesets that are criticized, but it doesn't matter to Nintendo, they just care that Sonic is there. Unique playstyles only become important when the character is for sale as DLC, this is why I'm sure MinMin was made DLC instead of base game, it seemed odd to us fans, but to the company it made perfect sense. That said I think Ninten and Giegue "Echoes" would be a very smart idea as a way to throw a bone to a franchise they don't want to take up a "big slot" down the line. Porky is the most unique dream come true choice, but there's one thing I personally think would be a problem in his way. Due to his unique mech playstyle I'm sure he would 100% be DLC, but if he's competing for that Mech DLC slot, Dr. Eggman is almost assured to have the absolute greatest chance of taking that spot. Almost a lock honestly. But fingers crossed for both of them of course I'm just trying to be realistic. Eggman is just unbeatable competition.

mother 3's best thing is how they fixed PSI Thunder accuracy [ITS SO MUCH BETTER!!!], 16 hit combos, narration is at peak story telling, humor is actually funny 15+ years later, the music is at a all time best for it's hardware and too advanced. ROLLING HP BAR IS FIXED TOO!!!

While I don't want to say that George had a duty to be a loving father to this alien kid he didn't really care about, I do think it's important to point out that if he did choose to support his Wife's desire to be a family with Giegue then the entire chain of events that leads to the conflicts and tragedies of the series wouldn't have happened

The Angel Island remix (Sonic’s only remix) is also on True Blue, a Japan only Sonic album released a week prior to Brawl. The album still calls it “SSBB remix,” so I’m meant to assume it was gonna be released after Brawl at first, but the delay caused it to predate it instead.

As An Aussie Puyo Puyo Fan I Wish I Could Try These!

I'm still really dissapointed that they didn't add Porky or Giygas as spirits. And I know the Absolutely Safe Capsule is sorta Porky's spirit, but it's just not the same

I'm totally on board with the earthbound 3 thing. It would be extremely on-brand for the series. Also, over-analyzing the unused conversation with Locria, while I do agree Duster's outburst is out of character, it makes more sense for it to be him rather than Flint, considering that he had a very recent brush with amnesia himself. My interpretation, anyway, is that Duster feels that Locria is using their amnesia as an excuse to be complacent about the end of the world, as well as a way to evade the consequences of their actions as Fassad, and that as someone who still chose to do good and actively help the world after losing his memory, he's personally offended by that attitude. Idk if that makes any sense, that's just the vibe I picked up.

Fun fact: Master Eddy resembles a Treble clef.

I love Mother 3, but I have some thoughts on the Magypsies that this video failed to shake. The hot spring scene resembles a molestation scene. I feel this way not because of my own biases, but because of false stereotypes commonly placed on LGBT people. The idea that they're coming after your kids and that they're groomers is an extremely common stereotype. Even back then. If this scene was the only negative stereotyping the game did I could believe the mirror theory, but the game is transphobic in other ways. Alec mocks them in the scene caves with Flint. There's also a strange scene when Ionia is talking to the party and Boney is barking at them the whole time. Why would this be unless Boney had a reason to not like Ionia specifically? I might be wrong on a few of these things, I'm going to be playing Mother 3 again in a few days. If my opinions change I'll likely return to this video. I will say that Itoi's words make me believe he does actually have a lot of respect for the LGBT community. I just believe he fell short in some pretty major ways. That being said I still love the Magypsies overall, despite their dated portrayal of LGBT people.
